The Catacombs of Paris

The Catacombs of Paris are underground ossuaries which hold the remains of more than six million people. In the late 18th century, buried human remains were removed from overcrowded cemeteries and churches in Paris and moved to an old limestone mine tunnels network under the city. A small area of these tunnels are opened to the public and we had the chance to go visit it. Another big thank you to Crystal who provided some of the photos and videos for this post.
