There's a joke that Hell's Kitchen has gotten so gentrified, it is now Hell's Breakfast Nook!
Chelsea Market was fornerly a The Nabisco bakery. It was here Oreos were invented.
Loved this! Loving the whole series - brilliant!
Nice video, but you should identify the neighborhoods by the streets and avenues they encompass. You could outline on a map before you start your tour.
Cool video. Loved it, I was just around there.
Walk the whole Highline during Spring/summer/Fall...very different perspective of the city...lots of art and beautiful, unique park....
Heyho! Tal! 248th view, 31st like and 24th comment! Great video per usual, quite a variety of areas today. With your love of the wilderness and nature the quiet dock and water must be the closest you can find in NYC. Are you going to do Central Park? I wonder if it has peaceful places as well? So good to see you! ❤️😃
Really enjoying this series and this was current favourite. Some interesting buildings in Chelsea neighbourhood that looked residential and the pier looked like it would be a real tourist trap in the summer.
Love the Gotham market. I had my first and only poke bowl love there : )
It’s not a subway platform when it’s in the air it’s a train trestle which ran 10th Ave., right past my grandparents apartment. My grandfather was a yard master in the Hudson yards living at the building at 508 W. 29th St., his entire life I remember sitting at the window and driving the train over the Trussell of 10th Ave., and we would run to see that our grandfather was about to park the train and walk home where we waited his arrival
thank you for this
Hi Tal,
Can you do a review to little Tokyo NYC Restaurants?
I love that intro
I’ve heard they also have cool theatre and dining experiences at Gallow Green
Hey I would love if you dropped some info about the 4/20 scene out in nyc. If I have a cartridge should I worry or what! Lol
I thought there was 2 floors in a Chelsea Market.
Thank you.
Chelsea Piers look like it would be awesome in the summer. The High Line really looks unique too! Is Chelsea Market restaurant/bakery/sweets only or produce too?
the highland was NOT MTA nor subway related.
We were just there last summer!
@@TheTravelingClatt It really is! I remember seeing the High Line earlier on in the reclamation process (I used travel to NYC once a year). It's amazing how far you can walk it now.
Kobra is such an amazing artist! I would love to tour that naval ship, my Dad was Navy! Doesn't Bill Clinton have an office in Hell's Kitchen? Or maybe that was in the past.
Been in nyc dozens of times never knew what was on the other side of the Chelsea piers 😭😭😭
Love the graffiti and artist credit
@@TheTravelingClatt Pah! No way, scratch the surface & it is a putrid display of ignorance. Both characters pictured were completely 100% fake presentations of the paragon of virtue in totally faux narratives. I'd tag it with paintballs in a medeival style iconoclastic rage if i could. It's equivalency could be Jim Jones on the left & Hitler on the right.
good vid - would have been better if you had experienced food/restaurants in both of the markets.
I like you video series! I will mention though that you missed he entirety of 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, and 8th Avenue in Chelsea - the two Gay Main Streets in NYC. As well as Restaurant Row in HK. They're both residential areas with some of the best restaurants and nightlife in NYC, particularly for the LGBTQ population! Worth a mention!
What did that lady say to you by Landmark Tavern? LOL
@@TheTravelingClatt She said "its valid" meaning its true, fact, cool, on point. lol its new york slang
I wish you did a Washington Heights video
You really have absolutely no idea how much I need to see the Chelsea market right now.
You forgot to checkout restaurant row on 46th street in Hell’s Kitchen !!! Otherwise nice job
You should try the color factory scavenger hunt
If you go to the color factory they have a scavenger hunt they give you around the area
Empire diner?
did that old lady say, get out of here?!
bro you missed the Gotham West market! It's not too far from the Javitz Center and is definitely part of Hell's Kitchen. Such a great market that includes a bomb as fuck taco spot, an Ivan Ramen Slurp Shop, dessert places, a burger place, etc etc. It's also only 3 avenues down from Port Authority!
oh LMFAO. I was confused why I didn't see it in the video when it's right near the Javitz Center. I guess I missed the last minute somehow? GOOD STUFF. One of my favorite spots.
I'm going to NYC in a couple of weeks. What places do you recommend for Times Sq, Brooklyn, and Queens/Long Island?
He didn’t mention 9th aven
I didn’t see daredevil not once this whole video.
You go to Chelsea Market and don’t even mention Tacos No. 1, the best taco place in the City?!
#comeonman
#go
i been to that place once its freaking expensive to eat i would say?
to crowded u won't get a seat..
No scuba diving. No. Snorkeling here.
I’m heartbroken.. 2 years later and The f cking car wash is closed due to greedy developers. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
The high line was an elevated railway line not a subway. The elevated trains or L trains run above the ground. The subway trains run in tunnels underground. Ask a New Yorker if you don’t know these nuances about nyc. 😂
Your wrong also. It was a freight line of the New York Central Rail Road serving the industrial area along the river.
This kid knows so little about what he speaks of.
Not wheelchair friendly.
Stay out of the water.
If you are visiting nyc for the first time skip the high line, its nothing spectacular
Stayed in the Meatpacking District a couple of years ago, I stayed in a quirky hotel called The Jane. It is very old and historic, they actually took some of the Titanic survivors to stay there back in the day. Also nearby is The Whitney museum which is fantastic. I live in London, so watching your NYC videos brings back happy memories of my holidays in the city!
