This is amazing, not only for the engineering that has gone in to it but the fact he is doing it because he cares and wants to help people who would never normally be able to get more expensive prosthetics... it restores some faith in humanity and goes to show there are still good people in the world... people like him are the real heroes of this world

I have a robotics class in my high school, and the entire class has to build some with the tools they learned from previous years. I am the only one that is making a fully functional 3D printed arm.
I am glad that I am doing what I am doing.

Guillermo, you are one helluva of human being.With your training and abilities you have given so many people a few life. Two words: THANK YOU.
I hope you or someone will be able to actively maintain these devices for their very luck owners. Plastics degrade in sunlight, especially ABS from those types of fused deposition printers. Beyond that, they also fatigue, so they will break eventually at stress they withstand today. It would be sad to see these people again living without. Regardless, the world needs more people like this man.
A prime example of what kind of people the world needs this man should get a Nobel prize

Thank you so very much for publishing this video, I was going to begin to save to buy a specific van to build myself a campervan, but having viewed the life changing work this man is doing, I'd rather he used it to help limbless people in an already hard environment where they would otherwise get no help.
I know what it's like to want a campervan for years, but I can't imagine what it's like to want an arm with a hand for years.
I had already saved enough to buy quite a lot of what I'd need to convert the van, so I'll sell that stuff too, and add it to this project.

You don't help people just by giving them stuff, you do it by teaching them how to do things themselves. You don't end world hunger by sending food but by teaching them how to farm with the resources they have. When watching the video, I was thinking to myself that this guy can't do this forever nor all alone. When I heard he's also teaching, that's when I was sold to the story. Great guy, he's making a difference.
