Great video, I'm about to do the same job on my 6 and this is a huge help. Do you know how much extra compressor oil I'm supposed to add after replacing the evaporator? To account for the oil that was left behind in the old evaporator. Thanks!
Kenjaireh, thanks for the video. Even for a 2004 Mazda 3 it should be the same method to replace a leaking evaporator? I have moisture on the footwell and AC is shot so I think the symptoms point to a failed evaporator
Any links to alternative techniques for replacing the AC evaporator on a Mazda 6 that do not require dash removal ? My car is a beater I want same some time.
Sir I'm a new subscriber and really admire your works, and also an aspiring technician, can I have an advice from you? I just noticed something is it okay to not disconnect or should I disconnect the battery terminals while performing this job? I hope you can help me sir,,,
Bro leak test muna sa mga posible leak outside tapos kng wlang makita, 70% na evaporator leak. Try din amoyin yung hangin galing sa evaporator kng naiba ang Amoy.
I'm contemplating this because my AC drain hole that goes to the firewall is leaking into the car because the Part that goes into the engine compartment is actually molded plastic part of the whole unit they got smashed so now I need to find a hose that can fit it..I use some sealant to seal around it but I would like to extend the attachment any idea what size hose I need
Paul Sullivan I put the evaporator w/ the heater core when the dash is out, because when I look at outside the situation and realized that it is much easier when putting back together evaporator w/ heater core and dashboard can reduce the hour of work unless some technicians what they did on first removal they do it on the second, for me everytime I removed dashboards of any vehicles I am looking for the easiest way even on the other vehicles.

Sir it is good if your comment would be in English I can not understand what you said
How many hours of work to do this whole job? Technician's are telling me that they will have the car for 5 days!
How much time does this require
Expert shop charge around 12 hr.

Yes bro before and now i am here in Philippines.
kenjaireh reignzion i am here in turkey 😊
kenjaireh reignzion san mo to pinagawa pre? Also, pano mo nalaman na evaporator ang may leak? Magkano lahat?
I paid for this 1200 riyals is it a good price ?
yousif Al Shaikh thats a good price 1000 or 1200 riyals
Does it include labour charge or only for the parts itself?
Why did you change the evaporator in the first place?
The evaporator leaked that's why I replace.
he put the dash back in with out putting the evap/heater box back in....what the hell
