Doing this install this coming weekend. Will be somewhat nervous on getting that pinion bearing preload dialed in tbh. But i am confident, thanks for having such a comprehensive guide on this install.
Carrier bearings? Sure, next customer diff I get I can make a video. But in a nut shell, I do the FSM recommended preload set up then calculate CBPL by subtracting pinon preload from total preload. I then turn the adjuster opposite the ring gear to add in more CBPL. If you are confused by now, thats why I charge so much to build diffs haha

My diff start to whine when press on throttle , does it mean the crown gear is damaged or need adjustment? Cheers
Only looking at the gear faces will tell, but typically once a whine develops, it will whine forever, even with proper set up afterwards

How do you set the pinion depth?
By a pinion depth tool or by reading gear pattern. Setting up gearsets is a lost art and a headache,
