John Graham Mellor, a great man of wise words that inspires me every day to just hear his voice in the songs .... Too bad it is no longer among us, but even so his legacy will always remain with the music and as a person, a role model all my life .... I love him a lot ..... Superb interview. I worked in the UK music industry in the Punk years! Saw the Clash play at The Rainbow, Finsbury Park,London on 09.05.1977. Many years later had an evening with just me and Joe at the Mud Club,. Never will forget him and that night. RIP JOE STRUMMER.

Holy crap, April 4th 2002? That's 7 months before he died. You can see how he seems sickly here, so sad.
He doesn't look sickly. He died from a congenital heart defect which actually could have killed him anytime. RIP Joe.
