I love black walls but not just plain black and not too decorated with wallpaper and stickers. This wall looks perfect. I'm adding this wall look along with that table to my dream house list😂

Ya I know the black is a bit much but its mainly because I am using as a photo backdrop. Thanks so much for the continued support PB and glad you added it to your list haha!

Wow! Turned out so well and a different way I’ve seen compound (is that also called “mud”) used with stencils! Great job and idea!

Hey Brent, love it! The fact that there’s real depth to each “brick” makes it feel more authentic than crappy painted stenciling! I was just thinking about what if this technique was applied to a bathroom wall, but instead of painting over (the idea I have comes from Monica on The Weekender here on YT under Lowe’s channel) what if you or someone lol primed the walls first for moisture protection, then used joint compound with 3 - 4 different shades of grey (inspired by The Weekender) and covered the entire wall(s) first for a concrete look, then once dried/cured add joint compound with the stencil only adding multiple shades of reds, browns or any brick color and multi color combo for an actual brick and mortar effect?! Pls pls head to The Weekender, the episode of her “faux” concrete wall is there and see what I mean with adding colorant to the joint compound itself, with the later step added of faux bricks in realistic brick colors! I imagine this authentic looking, patina’d, old school brick like found in century old lofts and farm house chimneys that we all wish we could have ;) The Weekender S4 E6 Faux Concrete Walls

Looks great! One thing that I would have done differently is to use the stencil on the other wall that your desk is located at as well. I think the walls would flow evenly together. Plus, you wouldn't have to cut the stencil. Either way, great job!

Great to hear Alec and thanks for the input. In all honesty I was thinking about doing that at first but I have further projects that I have in mind in the future for that wall so you'll just have to wait and see haha. Thanks again fro the continued support.
