- The Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection just released and unfortunately, it's a DISASTER. In this video, I explain what is going on with the Battlefront Classic Collection and give you my thoughts on the state of this game. It's really sad to see how the state of the Battlefront Classic Collection currently is, with thousands of gamers disappointed, angry, and frustrated at the game that should be providing many people with fun experiences. From online lobbies being completely unstable to buggy textures and sound glitches to the game only having 3 dedicated servers at launch. As someone who grew up with the Battlefront series of Star Wars games, this breaks my heart, and it's really a sad thing to see all of these people disappointed in this re-release. I really hope that Aspyr Media can quickly fix these issues and provide gamers/fans with the experience they hoped for when they purchased this game quickly and efficiently. Also, in this video, I cover a statement from Aspyr Media in regards to all of the ongoing issues with the Battlefront Classic Collection and give my thoughts on their response. I really hope the state of the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection improves and gamers and fans alike can enjoy these games sometime soon. I still have both of the originals on PS2 and play them frequently. Great games, but I can’t really see them getting much today. It would be fun to play in big online servers again, though.
I HEAVILY disagree with you on the filesize. It went from like, what, 15gb total for both games on Steam, to fucking 60? That's more than Elden Ring, which is a triple A game that is fucking huge and has WAY better grapgics. And yet their optimization was so trash they got it up to 60? And the price? For fuck's sake, you can almost buy Helldivers 2 for that price.
60 GBS is ridiculous
I mean on PS5 it’s only 30 GB for one version, plus when I downloaded it it said 15 GB

I was going get the classic collection but when I hear about disastrous launch become I didn't get it anyway
because
1. could added renegade squadron and elite squadron into collection
2. mod support on pc still hasn't confirmed about it
3. crossplay I didn't think going happen
4. could added new content/feature for into collection only use by mods
5. could added cut content into collection that I wasn't in the game
What is there NOT to be sad about. Take it from the great bombastic himself, the two hardest things in life are rocket science and making a Star Wars game. The state of the battlefront series is at risk if the classic collection isn’t saved. (Your reaction was exactly my reaction as well lol)
They should have done beta stress tests for this collection.

Had no idea about any of this release date or nothing. Didn’t even know the cross play thing was even an idea? I literally seen it on game pass and was STOKED. I played both the games again. And still play them every now and again vs bots. I love the game. Great classic. Cross play would be fun for sure, but I enjoy it for what it is.
Well, I got this collection because one, I’ve never played the first original Star Wars Battlefront game, and second, to relive the nostalgia of the second Star Wars Battlefront from 2005. So far, I’m having SO MUCH fun playing it!

We assumed adding online to a 20 year old, already made game would be easy.

@Ravum we didn't bc it's a concept you'd think they could screw up. It's not like they Remastered it or anything they just re-released it with a few upgrades that's it how do they make it so bad

Great video and editing with Palpatine and Anakin! These are my thoughts. Going from 12 GB to 60 GB in total for both games is just ridiculous! Not just because of the size but, because they didn’t even care to compress the AI generated HD textures for it! On PC half of battlefront 2 story cutscenes are missing and horrible audio glitches that destroy your ears! The one job they had to get right, was online! Not only did they mess that up but, somehow they even messed up the story as well! On a 20 year old game no less! This is Inexcusable and a horrendous act that not only damages the franchise even further but, all the poor fans like myself that wanted to experience these games for the first time are horribly disappointed and will move on if the developers don’t act quickly enough! Even though some people probably have already moved on and I can’t blame them…

The file size should not be that big even with them combined and with the updates they put in it should not be the same size as elden ring

It’s absolutely fine for me, don’t see what everyone else is complaining about. There are plenty of sweaty toxic PvP games out there, if that’s what you want.
It’s not just a disastrous launch. I hope it’s not the case but this game is pretty much DOA for good based on the reviews and word of mouth. I preordered on PS4 too smh.

If the title is like that, I dislike and close the video.Because yesterday I had my first match in this game, and it was AWESOME!(No idea why everyone jugjes a 20 year old game by it's multiplayer🤨.)
The worst possible launch ever since 2017. What a complete disaster of a launch. This whole port was just so bad it's honestly hilarious. Aspyr has to be worse than Dice thanks to this horrible port of such a legendary game.
aspyr wasn't great anyway just look at kotor 2 port on switch and false marketing the game with dlc aka restore content mod to be on switch but they lie about it
