- ChatGPT is all over the news these days, but more recently it's been taking over the medical scene... would you trust an AI as your doctor, and do physicians have anything to worry about?

If anything AI will assist doctors to make their work for efficient. I think the introduction of AI will benefit everyone in healthcare, but it won't be replacing jobs anytime soon.

The Medical Council of Canada will not allow it. In the end an AI will diagnose a patient and x-rays faster which will will allow a doctor to make a final assessment and course of treatment faster. Overall if AI is implemented in this fashion will help the medical field. It will be the same as having 20 extra dr's in the room looking at a patient.
Everything is AI and software now.
What about outside of Canada? In deepest darkest Africa?
What about, in war torn countries? In Afghanistan?
The Taliban can get a good empathetic youngster, train him to examine the patient, give him a few instruments, stethoscope and the likes, couple him with AI and let him do the best job he can do....
For the good of humanity, and for the good of the patients who desperately need the help. Of course.

The medical council of Canada and the American medical association will get their due Justice from the third world where they will embrace ai and then the American people will force the AMA to change
I think there is a core value " empathy" which is going to be very difficult to replace which is very important in a patient doctor relationship.

Gastroenterologist have the least empathy most outright cruel and tyrannical, charity has more empathy than almost every doctor I've been to, plus human doctors mistreat truth they don't like your ethnicity or your political views, they want to watch the surgery or treatment because they don't like you, you pay money to the doctor and the doctor looks down at you and what other field is it like that 😂😂
I think some will be more at risk than others. I definitely see it being used as a first andnsecond tier duagnostic tool so doctors are running less tests since the possible cause of a given set if symptoms can be reduced

First we’ll be constantly put under question, then our supposedly too high wages will be judged a waste of money and they will probably say it’s just about time we see doctors begging at the corner of the street instead of parking their new 50.000 dollar car. I’m a doctor and I think: we want to give all our places, our capabilities out to the machines and few, very rich people…to what end? Lose everything? Own nothing? Spread poverty and uncertainty? We can have superAI in the drawer ready to be used, but we don’t need to let it enrich the already super-rich and make everyone else miserable!
So current A I is at the lowest level of AGI ( Artificial General Intelligence). ( Lowest level) Meaning it can only mimic human abilities ( Not think).
It can check the grades the examiner has given to answers on certain questions then give a similar answer when a similar question comes up.
It can logically construct it's answer based on its linguistics and informational database.
It is as unconscious & unaware of its existence as the internet, or your calculator.
If fed the wrong answers and told that these are correct, it will simply get the question wrong. It's concept of right and wrong are after all nothing but a positive and negative feedback loop.
Where it excels is at brute force capabilities. It can go through so many exams and so many well graded answers that it can come off as if it knows the answer. When it actually doesn't know the logical path that needs to be taken to reach that answer. It is hence a mimic.
It would be generally irresponsible to allow it to take control.
As such the good news is you still have a job and will probably still earn well enough.
The question is whether full AGI should ever be developed when the lowest of four stages of AGI has created such a disruption.
Hence I would favour the belief that AGI should never be fully developed.
All positions of power, management, decision making, or any sphere which humans wish to wilfully participate in, should be kept AGI free. ( All activities of the master)
AGI should only be developed sufficiently to perform the role of the slave. Cleaning, manual labour, repetitive tasks, dangerous tasks, undesirable activities etc
Instead of AGI we should develop ANI ( Artificial Narrow Intelligence) for all positions of the master. ANI can do all the same things AGI can, it's just divided up, and does not have software to put it together to form a fully capable system. It will calculate out amazing things for you, do it at amazing speeds, but you will be left in-between every step to make the final decisions.
Of course for this to happen it must be agreed upon by all people. All nations must opt in. It must reach the United Nations Security Council. All Militaries must agree.
So if you don't want to eventually be completely replaced. Get Cracking.
Doctors especially gastroenterologists are the cruelest doctors of all they got ego they look down at the patient, hardly have any time for us. Always pushing colonoscopies refusing to give you newer medicines unless we have a colonoscopy, I and my friends cannot wait for doctors to lose their jobs for how they mistreated the patients.
. Many months of wait time to see a doctor, they don't want to do telehealth they want you to come to the office for everything, doctors have all the power in their hand that makes them become our masters and we become their slaves. God please send us machines of living grace❤❤❤
