    Embellish! It’s screaming for a stencil or some gold leaf. That’s what my gut is telling me! It’s important for beginners to know that not every piece is going to be a win. It’s simply a fact! But, you demonstrated the importance of tenacity… making lemonade out of lemons. 🐻

    What an amazing end result from what seemed to be ruined 💖
    BTW, the colours made me crave for a piece of creamy walnut or hazelnut cake - LOL.
    I totally agree with "Bear" that this piece wants to have a stencil. I would probably try one mandala stencil on the north pole and one on the south pole of the canvas, not completely on it, just like half moons.... I would probably try a nice gold/copper mix or even some iridescent turquoise and/or green. Anyway, those balloon swipes were a brilliant idea 👏👏👏

    Hi mark. I loved the colours and i liked the end result, i noticed you flooded your painting before you blew it out, but some people don't, why is that.

    Hi Mark. Love how you turned this one around. It's fabulous. I'm new to your channel and to this art form. I wondered if a heat gun would take out air bubbles as I don't have a torch. And if not, should I be looking at getting a particular type of torch, please? Love your presentation style. Keep up the good work!

    • @MarkJRatcliffeArt
      @MarkJRatcliffeArt  Рік тому +1

      Hey Trudie! Thank you so much for your kind feedback. Welcome, it’s so great to have you hear and I hope you enjoy what you see. I’ve never used a heat gun (I think many use a heat gun when working with resin, but a heat gun will also get rid of bubbles). To avoid bubbles you can mix your paints prior to using them or a basic butane torch (many on Amazon, I have a basic one on/off). I use mine a lot but that’s because I mix up my paints and then work with them straight away. Hope that’s helps 😊🙏

    Everything you do is so beautiful. Really more that I can’t put words of how pretty they are. But I don’t know where the decription box is. I would really love to try some of your paints to see if I can get some cells. You know I even put cell activator in my paint and still can’t get hardly any if I try hard I make my paint muddy. All of your paints look shinny as they go on some of my dont. I use Masters Touch. Don’t know if that has something to do with it or not. But every other week I can get it for 40 percent off. But I do use some others not much.And the painting you just done you said let you know what we thought. I like it like it is it reminds me of a real hazy night how the clouds in the sky over the moon kind of separate a little across the moon as the clouds go by. So that is what it reminds me of is a hazy moon.

      Thank you so much. The description includes time stamps and info on my video. You might have to click “more” under the video but there is some info there. The key I think is to invest in quality acrylic paint and to avoid craft paints as they won’t have the same binder in them (in terms of chemical formula). Don’t give up, keep going, I’ve been doing pouring for 3 years and I’m still learning too 💜

    Embellishments imo maybe highlight the petals from your balloon kisses, with a gilding glue and gold and copper leaf? Can add a butterfly, dragonfly, bee, ladybug or a hummingbird collecting nectar for interest? Even resin coating will bring more clarity to the beautiful colour palette you have 🧡

I’ve been painting for just over two years and each time I create I’m learning, and am challenged to look for solutions to problems.
