Embellish! It’s screaming for a stencil or some gold leaf. That’s what my gut is telling me! It’s important for beginners to know that not every piece is going to be a win. It’s simply a fact! But, you demonstrated the importance of tenacity… making lemonade out of lemons. 🐻
Thank you so much Bear 🐻
Interesting that I am not the only one who would like to see a nice stencil on it 💖
Gold will definitely look awesome, but also copper would be nice. I would even dare to use a nice iridescent turquoise or green... 🍀
@@caobita I’m loving your idea of Color’s for the stencil. I think I’m gonna give it a go and see what happens. 🙏😊😊😊
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt seems that regarding colours we have quite a similar taste 😉
@@MarkJRatcliffeArtin
Looks like the most beautiful scrumptious banana cream pie ever!
Thank you 🙏
Eat it! Looks like a caramel pie
Yummy!! I thought so too 🙏😊
Anyone else see the owl before the "eyes" were blown out? Sure, I know you did! 😘
What an amazing end result from what seemed to be ruined 💖
BTW, the colours made me crave for a piece of creamy walnut or hazelnut cake - LOL.
I totally agree with "Bear" that this piece wants to have a stencil. I would probably try one mandala stencil on the north pole and one on the south pole of the canvas, not completely on it, just like half moons.... I would probably try a nice gold/copper mix or even some iridescent turquoise and/or green. Anyway, those balloon swipes were a brilliant idea 👏👏👏
Thank you so much!!! I agree yummy cake hahaha. I think I’ll defo try the stencil with those Color’s 🙏😊😊
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt looking forward to seeing the result
Omg...
This is so beautiful...just using a baloon has helped you to redecorate it so beautifully ..
Ill try this next time.. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much 😊
Merci pour ce partage💟 le résultat sec est très beau, moi je fairai un embelissement par dessus au pinceau ou un glacis🎨🙂
Thank you so much for your lovely support and encouragement 💜🙏
Perhaps a swipe on it then embellish
Hi Mark, kuddos to you for trying to revive an artwork you were not happy with. Thank you for showing that not every piece of art works out as originally envisaged. To be honest with you I would have scraped the paint off and repoured. Cheers, Michelle from Australia 🌹
Thanks Michelle 👍🏻
I really luv this piece. I like it just the WAY it IS.. It is PERFECT. Matter of fact Mark u gave me a really good IDEA. Thank U. Have a wonderful night. This really is beautiful.😀😀🎄🎄
Thank you Kathy! So happy it’s given you an idea! Have a great day x
Hi mark. I loved the colours and i liked the end result, i noticed you flooded your painting before you blew it out, but some people don't, why is that.
I tried to do a dutch pour but i think my paint was too thick as it hardly moved. I tried it flooded and unflooded.
Im new to it so felt dispondent 😊
Hi Pat: it depends on the artist but I flooded this one because I knew I didn’t have enough base color on to ensure the flow and movement. Hope that helps
Embellish it, very pretty
Embellish it. Gold would look sensational on this. I like that you persevered with it. I would have scraped it and then I would have learned nothing. Well done Mark.
Thank you so much Lynn 🙏😊
I can envision little sprigs of green peeking through. Or maybe a burgundy ?..
Great idea!! 💚
Hi Mark. Love how you turned this one around. It's fabulous. I'm new to your channel and to this art form. I wondered if a heat gun would take out air bubbles as I don't have a torch. And if not, should I be looking at getting a particular type of torch, please? Love your presentation style. Keep up the good work!
Hey Trudie! Thank you so much for your kind feedback. Welcome, it’s so great to have you hear and I hope you enjoy what you see. I’ve never used a heat gun (I think many use a heat gun when working with resin, but a heat gun will also get rid of bubbles). To avoid bubbles you can mix your paints prior to using them or a basic butane torch (many on Amazon, I have a basic one on/off). I use mine a lot but that’s because I mix up my paints and then work with them straight away. Hope that’s helps 😊🙏
Embellish and resin. Next time you might want use a smaller balloon too. I have fun mixing techniques and see what appears. Nice no matter what you decide. 👍
Thank you so much 😊
Everything you do is so beautiful. Really more that I can’t put words of how pretty they are. But I don’t know where the decription box is. I would really love to try some of your paints to see if I can get some cells. You know I even put cell activator in my paint and still can’t get hardly any if I try hard I make my paint muddy. All of your paints look shinny as they go on some of my dont. I use Masters Touch. Don’t know if that has something to do with it or not. But every other week I can get it for 40 percent off. But I do use some others not much. And the painting you just done you said let you know what we thought. I like it like it is it reminds me of a real hazy night how the clouds in the sky over the moon kind of separate a little across the moon as the clouds go by. So that is what it reminds me of is a hazy moon.
Thank you so much. The description includes time stamps and info on my video. You might have to click “more” under the video but there is some info there. The key I think is to invest in quality acrylic paint and to avoid craft paints as they won’t have the same binder in them (in terms of chemical formula). Don’t give up, keep going, I’ve been doing pouring for 3 years and I’m still learning too 💜
Embellishments imo maybe highlight the petals from your balloon kisses, with a gilding glue and gold and copper leaf? Can add a butterfly, dragonfly, bee, ladybug or a hummingbird collecting nectar for interest? Even resin coating will bring more clarity to the beautiful colour palette you have 🧡
Thank you so much for the ideas 😊🙏😊
Ooh embellish it, I’d love to see what you do with it. Your so patient, I’m sure I would’ve scraped it, well done you for persevering. 😊
Thank you so much Linda 🙏😊
Mark, I feel that the white base paint closest to you was too runny which ate up your nice colours. The colours were lovely. A little bit more yellow tone would have been nice. Just a thought. What do you think. Regards Glenis
Thank you Glenis I think you are right 😊
Its beautiful, and looks 3-d, but needs a little something. Maybe a smattering of darker color interwoven?
Thank you so much Debra 😊🙏
It's gorgeous as it is Mark 🤗 x
Not good for my diet though making me think of Salted Caramel Icecream, Cremebrulee and Meringue 🤭
Hahahah I soo see all the food reference. I almost called it a coffee and walnut cake haha 😛
I love it as it is. It reminds me of rococo style of artwork. I wish my failures ended up like this. Mine end up facing the wall 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 thank you Barbara 💜💜💜
Wanted to say Lemon Meringue Pie but others have beaten me to it. I love it as it is, but maybe just a little extra gold? Thank you for your encouraging words, balloons on the shopping list!
Thank you so much 😊
Adding to it is your decision. But if you feel like asking, then you must feel it needs something more! I am glad you emphasized this is not a failure! Again how do you not get paint on your clothes? ;-)
Thank you Julie 😊😊😊
I love earthy browns & gold together, and agree with you that it would be a great background for some wonderful embellishment. The flower shapes are delightful; I'm wondeing if there's something you could to to encorporate those shapes into whatever your imagination comes up with. Looking forward to whatever you decide! 💖
Thank you so much Cathy! I’m still undecided… but it’s one of those pieces that I will defo go back to.
Hi Mark . Its lovely , but I would highlight with gold . Gove it a splash of summer sun x
Sounds great! Thank you for the suggestion 👍🏻😊
Thank you Mark, you make me feel better. Now l can keep what l am working on and create something else with it 👍👍
Aww thank you Cynthia! You make me happy 😃
I think it’s really cool.. looks like tendrils coming out from each side and meeting In the middle, if it were mine, I’d have a hand coming out from each side through the center and meeting in the middle .. peace, unity, together, you get the idea
Thank you so much 😊
Nice job Mark turning it around it looks very nice I’m new at this so I don’t have any suggestions
Thank you so much Rose. 😊
That was a great save Mark. I wouldn’t do anything else to it personally as I don’t have the talent but maybe a touch of greenery?
Thank you so much- I was thinking of maybe a mandala stencil in the middle? I think maybe I might just leave it 🙏😊
I would like to see what you finally decided to do for the final outcome! If please do share!?!
I kept it as it was…. But I’m still tempted to embellish 😊
i love it, it reminds me of Smokey quartz Crystal haning in a cage from the roof
Ohh yes. Thank you 😊
Embellishments!!!!
I like the color choice
Great save! And I think you could leave it or embellish it.
Thank you Jane X
Oh wow! I love that piece to the right of you, as I'm looking at you.
Thank you so much!! 🙏😊
I can see sunflowers I would highlight parts with black to pick out a sunflower
Thank you Kay 🌻
Became very nice but maybe some lines of black will make same contrast
Thank you 😊
Well I think its come out so well. I am terrible for scraping my paintings. So I was happy to watch you stick with this. Loving the colours and would like to see some embellishments on it... maybe stencil or posca type pens .... or another painting over the top with this as the background.... like a bloom ?? Good luck 😄
Great ideas. Thank you so much 🙏
Embellish!
Wow I was worried for you but boy u did a fantastic job.Love it.Nice idea to ice your cake.lol
😂😂 it was yummy!
You made this a exiting. Embellish it some more. Well done
Thank you so much 😊
Embellish, I can’t wait to see what you create.❤
Thank you 😊
Looks like a pie, yummy. Absolutely loveit.
Thanks so much Holly 😊😊😊
It reminded me of a yummy toffee meringue and made me very hungry 🤤
Haha I know what you mean Lori - I could have eaten it! 😂😂
It looks beautiful but I would varnish it!
Thank you 🙏 I have done since 😊
The color its so nice wow well done Mark❤
Thank you 🤩
I like it! It appears to have the texture of a Mirangue pie! 🎉
Haha Fran! Yes you are totally right. 😂💜
Embellish it. The colors are gorgeous.
Thank you Anna. I’m thinking Mandala stencil?
Turned out beautiful, I'd leave it.
Thank you so much - I did 👍🏻
Thank you Mark I though is was just me
Thank you 🤩
GRAZIE.😊
I can add subtitles but unfortunately UA-cam puts them on the screen. 🙏
I would take that darker color and make a frame around it
Thank you- what a great idea 💡
Yes nice background for a stencil
Thank you, I agree I think I’ll do a stencil 😊
Главное,во время остановиться, иначе работа будет испорчена!
Thank you 😊
There are no failures!
Agree 👍🏻 💯
You did a great job after all
Thank you so much 😊
I needed to hear this!! I am 6 months into pouring and still get muddy colors. I just cannot seem to get my colors right. What do I do with all these flop pour projects?
Firstly - they are not flops; you’re learning and experimenting and fluid art is not easy so I think you should be proud. Maybe pick a couple and experiment further with some embellishment too. I’ve been painting for just over two years and each time I create I’m learning, and am challenged to look for solutions to problems. Keep going, keep having fun and remember this is not a race, slow and steady will always be a winner in terms of longevity 🙏😊
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt I so needed you today. I stayed up late pouring and the dry is disappointing. Going to have a go with my acrylic markers and enhance them. You are correct, I am learning every time. I will give ❤ to the flops!!
@@oceanchicns I’m glad my words helped and never forget you’re an artist and you’re following your passion 💜🙏
Well said intro, so true
Thank you 👍🏻
Definitely embellish
Thank you 😊
I would leave it.
Thank you 😊
😍🤩😍🤩😍😍beautiful
Thank you 😊
Stunning, love it
Thank you 😊
Tree roots maybe
Ohh yes! I love that idea 💡 thanks
Embellishments
Thank you Jody
Embelish!
👍🏻😊
Spectacular!
Thank you 😊
Mark
I can see embellishing this with some Indian corn decorations. It is a great background for any fall 🍁🍂 leaves or corn husks.
Great to watch your videos!!
Thank you so much Nancy! So happy you like to watch 🙏😊😊
Hi, Mark! It's beautiful and delicate in the end! It happens to everybody to have days when the failure is complete whatever one tries to make it a success...This one is a success, I love it as it is, no need of any embellishment -my opinion and taste- because it would look too crowdy..:D Thank you for this Autumn colours inspiring idea :)
Thank you so much 😊
Hi Mark, you’ve received lots of ideas to think about and I look forward to seeing what you create! I’d like to add that, when you showed the wet version, it looked just like a lemon meringue pie!! Hahaha. ♥️♥️🇦🇺
Haha thanks so much Nat. I can totally see that! I have soooo many suggestions I’m going to really take time to consider what’s best 😊🙏
I love how you persevered and made your piece into something beautiful. I don't even know how you would begin to put a stencil on it because it is already so busy. However, I could definitely see some gold leaf, gold crystals or gold metallic lines throughout to highlight some of the swirls. This video could not have come at a better time! I have been trying some Dutch Pours and I needed someone to tell me that others have problems too. Thank you!! Take good care. Denise ❤
Thank you so much Denise! So happy this one was useful. Take care my friend 🙏😊
Keep as is or embellish it with paint pens. What a great way to learn you never make mistakes with paints. Really enjoyed watching this one. I love it.
Yay! Thank you Ramona 💜
Hey Mark, I think it could be either a nice base for a mandala or some other stencil work on top, with dark iridescent colors, or you could embellish it with a brush work, to lighten the bright areas and darken some of the brown stringy waves you have, for more contrast
Thank you so much for the ideas 💡 🙏😊
I feel it would love to be embellished! Beautiful colours! And a very real tutorial, Thankyou 🙏🏻
Thank you so much Lara 🙏💜💜
I had a similar experience this afternoon, I am learning a new technique and it did not go well, so I just added other colours and played around, mine ended up a total mess, but like you said, it’s all learning. Your painting would make a good background to some kind of silhouette 😊
Thank you so much. It’s fun learning thou right? Xx
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt Yes and very addictive 😬😬
