      Isaak dr.brian may is an astrophysicist with PhD and a professor at Oxford aside from being the lead guitarist of Queen. I once read in Rolling Stone or Mojo that he was in Spain doing his dissertation in Astronomy and was looking at the night sky when he also "thought" of a guitar riff for a song in Queen

      Perhaps everyone who judged his doctoral work was a Queen fan.

    • @MrAaronvee
      @MrAaronvee 6 років тому

      @lindowan123 Yes, very average: a bunch who squander innate talent (and probably publicly-funded education) on making horrible noises. 'Artists' can get away with anything ... there is always some sucker who will like it.

    • @MrAaronvee
      @MrAaronvee 6 років тому

      @lindowan123 You have guessed correctly: I despise 'the arts' in general ... and I am not at all 'sad' about it. Paying taxes is not an excuse; some of the most successful prostitutes apparently do that.

    • @MrAaronvee
      @MrAaronvee 6 років тому

      @lindowan123 HaHa, the typical and vaguely sinister response of the 'touchy-feelies' who think that they speak for 'humanity'. They are always the same sort of people; the ones who get suckered-in by any dubious populist movement ... provided that it has a good backing score (Internationale, Horst Wessel song). How can anybody in their right mind admit to liking acoustic tripe like Bohemian ... whatever. I shall not even clap their funerals.

Freddie the greatest showman, Brian the guitarist and astrophysicist, Roger the drummer with a voice that could belong to a rock legend and let's not forget about the most underrated band member, John Deacon he was a phenomenal bassist but it's sad that people look past his talent.

    The video is cool and all that but, is it me or did they get it wrong with the pen? I mean, if you look with your left eye, the pen should seem to be on the right and if you look at it with your right eye, it will seem to be on the left side, huh?

    • @fastica
      @fastica 9 років тому

      fadetounforgiven Nothing is wrong with the pen, they are showing exactly what you wrote, that each eye see things from a subtle different angle and it combines both images in the brain to form a 3D image.

    • @fadetounforgiven
      @fadetounforgiven 9 років тому +1

      Federico Astica yes... except they're doing the other way around. If you watch again, you'll see they've put the pen on the left when they're writing "left eye" and on the right with "right eye". Unless that means "left eye closed" and "right eye closed" respectively, it's wrong.

    Interestingly enough, if you look at a photo with just one eye (the way the camera "saw" the subject), and keep looking for a while, you will start seeing depth and 3D shape of the scene. I know it sounds ridiculous, but try it anyway. My theory is that the camera, with its one "eye", captures more than just the flat 2D scene, and you need to look at the photo the same way the camera was "looking" - using just one eye.

    • @mycroft16
      @mycroft16 6 років тому

      No... without two points of view there is no stereoscopic reference to gather any data about depth. What IS happening though is your brain, being the unbelievably powerful thing it is, is attempting to fill in depth information based on previous experience. If you close one eye the entire world doesn't suddenly go flat... because your brain has amassed an insane about of experience with how the world actually looks and just maps that onto the single visual input. When both your eyes are open looking at a photo your brain knows it's 2d. With one eye closed your brain only knows it is getting half of the input signal and so attempts to fill in the missing data. Your brain does this all the time, on the fly, in real time in an attempt to make the most sense possible of the world around you.

    • @kkonvicka25
      @kkonvicka25 6 років тому

      I agree. Actually, the IAU should admit our solar system only has 4 real planets - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The rest (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and Pluto) are so small. They're just tiny, insignificant little turds you'd never see from another star. It's kinda like the idiot who decided that Europe and Asia are TWO continents. How can that be? Pluto should have a special place as a real planet. Then let the IAU call the rest of the Kuiper belt objects dwarf/sub planets, or whatever. I feel much better now, thank you.

    @MrAaronvee I see you're another UA-cam Certified Fact Checker and "Expert Keyboard Warrior" who had little positive to say about this video and Dr, May. Why don't you give us the title of your "book" so we can have at it, too. I can almost see your hands stained with the juice of sour grapes.
