Okay I wanted to know when you said to make a thin layer and then wait 3 hours for it to get tacky, did you use the same resin you made or did you use different resin? The reason I am asking is because you poured quite a bit of resin before you made the thin layer holding the sticker.
Hi there, The reason why I mix so much resin is because I make multiple resin pendants at once, & I have to have enough resin to create thin layers for each mold I decide to use. Like in this video I probably made 10 different pendants, but only showed this main one for the focus of the video. For every different layer you have to use new batches of resin, because like in the mold, resin in the cup will get tacky & harden as well. I mix a lot of resin bc I have a shop where I sell these and I try to make as many pieces in one sitting as I can :3 Hope this helped!
I just want to thank you for mentioning safety materials like gloves and a mask and keeping your hair pulled back! So many people make tutorials that always skip over that part. They forget that this is a chemical and it can harm.
+MissCannibella No problem at all! I am always super paranoid when I work with resin and I always have to make sure I'm being as safe as possible. I had to share some of the safety precautions and materials that I use!
Ella May It truly depends on your workspace, I don't use one because I do it in my garage with the garage door open. But if working inside, windows open(it smells, a lot) I recommend a mask.
So pretty and what a wonderful tutorial thank you!! I picked up perfect pearls at the scrapbooking store I work at and was wondering if anyone else uses them, I love them so much!
This was awesome but I forgot and important step! I forgot to wait a day before I added the " sparkling milk shake" and everything sank straight to the bottom! Rememeber to wait a day!!! Xoxoxo
a great and simple tutorial, i've been thinking about trying to work with resin but i didn't know anything about it at all haha will try it out now, not sure if it will turn out as cute as your piece did!
Great video! Just one tiny detail worth mentioning to all resin beginners; that type of mask that was shown in the video is completely useless when working with resin, you need a proper respiratory mask with filters designed to catch fumes. I've seen a lot of people make this mistake.
Yes, this is a R95 Respirator Mask which is good for Pesticides, Paint, Sanding, etc. because it's disposable it ends up being a better mask for sanding resin pieces. At the point of making this video 3 years ago I didn't have a more expensive respirator.
That is absolutely gorgeous. May you please tell me what type of heart mold you used to make that. I would like to purchase that mold. Thank you in advance 😀
Great tutorial, your voice is super cute! And the piece turned out perfect 💕 Another important thing to say to all beginners is that if the sticker you're using is copyrighted (e.g. sanrio), you can't sell the pieces! It seems like everyone's ignoring that and when I first started I thought it was perfectly fine because everyone else did it :(
E.g. Sanrio often goes through Etsy listings and sends copyright infringements to sellers (aka you have to take down your listing and it will leave a permanent mark on your shop, if you get enough of them your shop will be shut down). This is also quite a good article from Etsy on fair use: blog.etsy.com/en/fan-art-and-fair-use-one-truth-and-five-myths/
I've done resin for awhile and just stopped by to see if any other crafters do something totally different than I do, I pretty much do the exact same as you and I've never had problems with acrylic paint in resin either. But I was wondering if anyone has ever used straight water color paint/pigment from the tube?
Hello^^ I am just a beginner and I want to try it! About how many decorations (for example this hearts) can you make with the resin (the one you are using)? Thank you in advance
Katherine Samudio You can make a lot of pieces with this resin. Right now I'm currently in the process of making some stuff and I've made around 10 pieces and still have a little more than half of the product left! 💚
Omg thanl you so much for doing that tutorial! I wamted to give my bff something special and now I can!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!❤ also where can I buy good molds?
Wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much. Could you let me know where you got the color pigment powder from? I have no idea where to start with that stuff.
Okay great! Thank you again. I'm feeling really motivated today to make new things and I have been wanting to try resin out for the longest. Do you have an instagram or something I could follow you on?
Hey, great informative video! I just purchased some resin for the first time today, could you give me some advice on the best way to clean your cups after each use? c:
ahh,, this is a very informational tutorial! i really want to get into this kind of stuff but I have a question so hopefully you or someone could answer: do you push the sticker all the way to the bottom or do you just push it in enough where it’s in between the first thin layer? :0
Thank You so much for posting this video.I am new to the Resin creations,it Seem's overwhelming. But Your video helped alot.I do have a question,Is it possible to do Black resin pieces?Any help is great help.Have a great day.
Love XO than you. I'm new to resin. but works like to do some. I tried using the paint, but think I used way to much. plus I don't think I waited long enough to add the glitter, it sank. I did make some cute round sprinkles pieces lol. that was easy. 😂😜
Hi! Your super helpful but I had 3 questions to add. One is what type of mask do you use? Two, I live in a shared apartment so if I use the resin inside would it be harmful to do so when everyone is home since you mentioned the fumes? And 3, I saw in certain resin they use UV light and I'm wondering what that's for? THANKS!
R95 Respirator Mask, I don't really suggest this mask anymore though. Using something like a niosh organic vapor respirator would be way better. Resin is a chemical, but, as long as you can open windows to have the room ventilated you should be fine. [use the respirator mask as well] UV lights are only for UV resin.
question, how do you get necklace clasps onto your charms ? i've never made these before but i'm wanting to start. and idk how to make it into an actual necklace. ALSO, where do u get your stickers
+IndieFlavor02 Thank you! You have to mix different batches of resin each time you pour. It wouldn't be possible to keep the first batch of resin fluid because it would harden because you've already mixed it up. I used a total of 2 different batches in this video but that's not including the doming. So in all it took me around 3 days to make this piece and 3 different batches of resin. I hope that made sense!
Hi, your inserting eyepins video you mentioned and linked in the description is no longer available. Did you take it down or make another? I'd like to see that one as well.
what do you usually do with the excess resin? and do you have any good methods for mixing out the right amount? (I have a habit of mixing too much and i'm stuck with a lot of leftover)
+Meowrianne If I have excess resin I just pour it into other molds! One thing that I do that might help is that I use plastic spoons to measure out my resin. It really helps, especially if you're mixing a small batch!
Hi! If I'm working with items that aren't stickers (in my case, old watch parts) does it work the same way? Can I pour a small layer, let it dry, put the item on top of that and then cover it with resin? Thanks!
Naomi Bonilla Hi there! I usually get most of my molds from etsy. I'm not sure what shop I got this one from but if you search "resin heart mold" in etsy you should find one that is similar! 💗
Hello! I am currently making a cosplay which involves a character with a tea cup. I wanted to know what you would recommend for using resin to fill the cup with "tea" and also using a real teabag in the cast. Would I need to seal the teabag in mod poge first? And can I use brown acrylic paint for tinting the resin? Any help would be greatly appreciated on the matter!
Yes you can totally use resin to fill up the cup! Make sure to seal the teabag first, and don't use too much acrylic paint. A few drops should do. Whenever you're mixing your resin make sure it has the look you want before pouring it into your teacup. Also, to make the cup not so heavy, I would suggest using an air dry clay to fill up half of the cup, that way you're not using as much resin & Your teabag will sit up better in the cup! Hope this helps~
Love XO Holy crap dude that was a fast reply! THANK YOU!! I feel a lot better about trying this for the first time with some sage advice. You rock! ^_^
Is there a method of applying resin to the sticker without putting it into a heart or shape mold? In other words, I want to resin it in its original shape and nothing else.

I already watched the video but I have only heard of resin a few times so I was wondering what it was?and I still don't know,so I was just wondering if you could give me an example☺️. Btw ily☺️☺️☺️
Resin is a two part chemical that you mix to make a solid, kind of like plastic in a way. A lot of people make jewelry with it among other things. Just do a quick google search "what is epoxy resin" & that should tell you what you want to know! :3
I was just wondering with resin is it fine to use the gloves you have already used for resin over and over again? (Of course using them for resin over again)
I'm confused on the mix of the risin you used? Did you leave out the rest like how you did the first thin layer.. What did you do with the rest of the mix in the cup?? You leave it out to? It lasts that long oo: !!! I really want to try this out so I'm very curious lol
Nooo lol I really need to pin one of the comments to the top where I've answered this but every batch of resin you see me using from different time periods is a new batch of resin. You can't leave resin out sitting in a cup you have to use it all up or it will get hard just like in the mold.
Amazing is too expensive. I find it cheaper buying Femowood for $65 a gallon. To buy the same amount of amazing resin it would be close to $100. Ouch, Thanks for the coloring tip. :)
Won't the resin in the cup harden while you're waiting for the resin in the mold to harden? (I have never done resin before so I do not know the correct terms so I just said "harden")
Hi, so I got my first resin yesterday, but as I was reading the instructions, it mentions using a mold release. Do you use mold release, is it really necessary?

My instagram is @ cosmicwishes & my etsy shop is www.etsy.com/shop/CosmicWishes
We're did you get the mold
Kelly Brown I think she made some with clay or idk actually xd
I just want to thank you for mentioning safety materials like gloves and a mask and keeping your hair pulled back! So many people make tutorials that always skip over that part. They forget that this is a chemical and it can harm.
+MissCannibella No problem at all! I am always super paranoid when I work with resin and I always have to make sure I'm being as safe as possible. I had to share some of the safety precautions and materials that I use!
MissCannibella I totally agree. If you get epoxy resin on your skin a lot you can develop allergies... 😰
MissCannibella I may of not listen properly but why do u need the mask. I really wanna do this but I don't know if the mask is vital or no xx
Ella May It truly depends on your workspace, I don't use one because I do it in my garage with the garage door open. But if working inside, windows open(it smells, a lot) I recommend a mask.
Some people don't list the parts since it probably should be common sense to know that you should be careful
You have a wonderful and soothing voice. Great video!
So pretty and what a wonderful tutorial thank you!! I picked up perfect pearls at the scrapbooking store I work at and was wondering if anyone else uses them, I love them so much!
It’s so pretty! Man, I wanna work with resin now.
Also, you have such a sweet voice!

This was awesome but I forgot and important step! I forgot to wait a day before I added the " sparkling milk shake" and everything sank straight to the bottom! Rememeber to wait a day!!! Xoxoxo
thank you for the nice video. I'm going to try to make some resins of my own.
+Mary Olmos (Maeca234) Awesome! Thank you for watching! I hope you have a bunch of fun making your own resin pieces!

Thank you for this tutorial! I’m a beginner and your vid has definitely helped me
I just watched this because of the thumbnail 😂 the finished piece is SO CUTE 😍💖
Thank you for the very helpful video! I just bought some resin off of amazon and I'm going to use your technique! :)

That is absolutely gorgeous. May you please tell me what type of heart mold you used to make that. I would like to purchase that mold. Thank you in advance 😀
Love this video
First time with resin
Do I mix both A and B again for the second layer

libiluvi oh nooooo is that really true?? So I would have you make my own stickers?
Your name is Etsy brain
Going to make Sailor Moon license plate banner. Thanks for the tutorial.

Hi love the video where did you get your molds from I do a lot of resin tutorials and more on my channel and I love them mold thanks for sharing
This was helpful! I’m planning on making a crystal, so this is helpful
I want to coat a desk with glitter resin how can I do that without messing up I've never worked with resin before 😳
practice makes perfect c: if you try small things first then try more and more and you can probably do that c':
Amy al how did it go?
I really want to make my own necklace using that resin. It will be really beautiful and cute.
Fitri Aida maybe it will or maybe it will be completely ugly if you’re not good at crafting. Good luck either way.
Ok, I so want to try this but, I would like to do a butterfly charm necklace. I don't know where to began though!
Thank you so much for making this video! This helps heaps 💕
VERY LATE, but have you tried UV resin? Basically, you can dry it with a UV lamp. So much quicker
TNX FOR SHERING.... I LOVE THIS VIDEO...!
Where do you purchase your tickers from. I would really like to buy some as my bezels are very small so it is hard to make them.
So beautiful!!! I would love to make one of those!! XD
excellent tutorial!! thank you for making this
Omg! I love your voice and your beautiful creations! I'm a new subscriber and love your Channel💕
would you recommend to use the safety mask while you put them into the molds as well or is it only in the mixing part?
BlueMoonNightLight Both ☺
Omg thanl you so much for doing that tutorial! I wamted to give my bff something special and now I can!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!❤ also where can I buy good molds?
I'm a beginner but how to store the mixed resin liquid so i can use it after the first/second layer dry.
You can't store mixed resin. When mixed resin becomes rock hard. That's why it's important to only mix as much as you need for each layer.
Love XO ohh, thank you!!
Hey love XO I just wanted to ask where did you get that glitter and pearly pigment I love it !!, Mackenzie and Mia
Hi there I got my pigments at hobby lobby ^-^
Great tutorial!
I wonder to know if the uv resin work the same way ? Thanks and i really like your video :3
A really good video for beginners 😊👍🏻
+Dazzel Craft Thank you!
Wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much. Could you let me know where you got the color pigment powder from? I have no idea where to start with that stuff.
I believe I got it from Michaels :)
Okay great! Thank you again. I'm feeling really motivated today to make new things and I have been wanting to try resin out for the longest. Do you have an instagram or something I could follow you on?
Aw np :3 My insta is @cosmicwishes
Very nice. I am a beginner. Thank you.
Hey, great informative video! I just purchased some resin for the first time today, could you give me some advice on the best way to clean your cups after each use? c:
Put in a Popsicle stick and wait for it to harden then pull it out
Thanks I found this extremely helpful😄
Thanx for the video..if I want to use it on polymer clay how do I use it..
ahh,, this is a very informational tutorial! i really want to get into this kind of stuff but I have a question so hopefully you or someone could answer: do you push the sticker all the way to the bottom or do you just push it in enough where it’s in between the first thin layer? :0
Cerisier same question
I litterally just learned how to do resin today
Where did you buy your materials that you used?thanks for sharing
Interesting video but the blank screen made me think my phone was broken!
Thank You so much for posting this video.I am new to the Resin creations,it Seem's overwhelming. But Your video helped alot.I do have a question,Is it possible to do Black resin pieces?Any help is great help.Have a great day.
Yes you can make a black resin piece! You can use black acrylic paint or a black pigment specifically for resin. :3
Love XO Thank You so much🍥
Where can I get the resin kit from? I'm from the UK and would love to start making resin jewelery (:
where did you get the stickers?? their very pretty!
the one thing I wish you would have showed was how to get the clean edge after you demold the piece.
I could make a video like that if you want :3
Love XO that would be cool. thank you. :)
No problem! I'll make sure to do that video when I get more resin :3
Love XO than you. I'm new to resin. but works like to do some. I tried using the paint, but think I used way to much. plus I don't think I waited long enough to add the glitter, it sank. I did make some cute round sprinkles pieces lol. that was easy. 😂😜
Where do you get your stickers? What do you call those types of stickers?
What is the measurement of that heart mold? I want a large heart resin mold, i'm afraid I'll end up buying the wrong size.
where can i find the sanrio stickers you had in here?!! :O theyre so cute!
Right?!
I think when you are beginning UV resin is good
It's so beautiful

UV lights are only for UV resin.
That’s uv resin, they use the uv light to cure it cuz they are to lazy to just leave it in the sun
How to you add the little necklace hoop on?:)
So what do you do with the leftover resin in the cup while you wait 3 hours for the first layer to dry?
After you let the resin sit for 24 hours was that a new batch of resin you used? Or was it the same one you used the day before
It was a new batch! You have to make a new one because the old batch will be hard and unusable.
+Love XO oh thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial!
question, how do you get necklace clasps onto your charms ? i've never made these before but i'm wanting to start. and idk how to make it into an actual necklace.
ALSO, where do u get your stickers
Perfect!! Thank you☺

wow great! i love pastel colors
+IndieFlavor02 Thank you! You have to mix different batches of resin each time you pour. ua-cam.com/video/qTvrQfP_6M0/v-deo.html&t here is that vid!
@@OhhMyCasey oi! Thanks!
if you don't mind me asking where did you get the stickers? or if anyone knows where I can buy similar style ones (gold edge)?
what do you usually do with the excess resin? and do you have any good methods for mixing out the right amount? (I have a habit of mixing too much and i'm stuck with a lot of leftover)

you have to use new resin because the old resin will dry as well!
Hi! If I'm working with items that aren't stickers (in my case, old watch parts) does it work the same way?
Can I pour a small layer, let it dry, put the item on top of that and then cover it with resin?

Yap it would work the same way :3
Where did you get that awesome mold! I would love to buy it for my friend who is into these things :D
Naomi Bonilla Hi there! I usually get most of my molds from etsy. I'm not sure what shop I got this one from but if you search "resin heart mold" in etsy you should find one that is similar! 💗

I feel a lot better about trying this for the first time with some sage advice. You rock! ^_^
No problem! I hope everything goes well!
Is there a method of applying resin to the sticker without putting it into a heart or shape mold? In other words, I want to resin it in its original shape and nothing else.
You could do that, but it will be difficult.
I haven’t started yet, so I have barely any experience. Just wondering, if you waited 3 hours for the resin to become tacky, wouldn’t your cup of your other resin harden?
Yes it’ll harden which is why you have to make another batch for the other layers. You can’t store mixed resin, make the amount needed so you don’t waste resin

How did you keep your resin from hardening? Or did you mix a new batch everyday?
New batches! :D
I was just wondering with resin is it fine to use the gloves you have already used for resin over and over again? (Of course using them for resin over again)
I would use a new pair of gloves just to be safe
Do you shake out the excess glitter before you add your second layer of resin?
Laydeeworeblak It depends on how I'm feeling that day. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't 😛
Hey! How do you wash/clean the containers where you mix the resin ? I try to wash mine with soap and water but they become sticky, what should I do ?
Hello, please make sure to use disposable plastic cups or containers.
Were could i buy the cute stickers you put un the heart mold online?
ebay or etsy
cant you use a uv gun(?) to make ut harden faster or is that for uv resin only? Cause to my knowledge uv resin glows unlike normal resin.
You can only use that for UV resin. This is epoxy resin~
Where did u get the stickers I love them?
I'm not sure if I got these on ebay or etsy but those two places are usually where I always purchase my stickers :3
fantastic!

Where can you find cheap resin?
Won't the resin in the cup harden while you're waiting for the resin in the mold to harden? (I have never done resin before so I do not know the correct terms so I just said "harden")
Yes! So if you have left over resin in the cup it's best to use it all up.
Where did you get like the little pearls at 7:31?
What kind of resin do you use? I see resin epoxy, resin polyster and etc... So im completely unsure of what to purchase!! :-(
Epoxy resin
Hi, so I got my first resin yesterday, but as I was reading the instructions, it mentions using a mold release. Do you use mold release, is it really necessary?
Nope it's not necessary. I never ever use mold release! :3
oh my goodness! I cant wait to get home then! So going to make my first piece :) thank you so much!
;--; probably seemed obviously but I didn't realize. thnx for the hair tip XD (my hair is somewhere between a ft an half to 2tf._. )
Aww it looks so cute 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
where do you put the resin you've mixed whilst the resin in the mould is drying out? do you just cover it?
I've been curious about this also
I use the left over mixed resin for other pieces. I usually work on multiple pendants at once. If I left the mixed resin in the cup it would cure and get hard and become useless.
