      How is electricity in Japan that expensive?! 😂😂 when I lived in Korea, I was in a region with nuclear energy not coal, my bill was never over 20 bucks at the height of summer and AC on full blast. And now I live in France, still nuclear energy but a lot more energy taxes on top of it, and still not over 50 bucks a month. And in the US where I feel like electricity can be some of the most expensive in the developed world, 300 bucks at the most for a smallish 3 bedroom house. You sure about that price? Is the bill in ¥ or $

    Lol I had that problem with crows on my property too. Hope this helps, I made partners with mine. Everyday they get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The have a large bird bath. In return they take care of keeping mice, scorpions, and other pests I don't want around and periodically I get gifts from them, bottle caps, shiny objects, seed pods ect. They are very smart and once they protect their ( my) property they let me know if someone or something comes on the property they let me know now, very loudly. Good luck with yours. Stay healthy, happy and safe always.

    Crows are extremely intelligent and are among the few animals that will wait for a higher food reward if they know they can get it(that’s probably why they choose the ramen or chicken vs the 🍅). They can also use tools and work in teams!
    They remember faces so it’s best to not do anything bad to them.

      This one right here! Crows are way too smart, so making nice is in your best interest. Maybe look up videos on how to befriend them. It would be nice to have them bring you things instead of take them.
      And yes, as corvids, crows will eat about anything but their own.

    Over here, in the UK, rubbish/trash routines vary a little, from county to county. Where I live, we have three wheelie bins per house. The blue bin is for recyclable things. At the moment, we don't have to separate into paper, plastic etc., but there is talk of introducing that. At present all they ask is that stuff is clean. Then there is a brown bin, which is for compostable stuff, like garden and food waste. Finally, the green bin is for anything else, and the contents of this go to landfill. The council also provides us all with little kitchen caddies and compostable bags for the kitchen food scraps. Blue and green bins are collected on alternate weeks, with brown bins collected on the same week as the blue ones, but on a different day. You just wheel the bins to the street.

I love gardening, I’ve just never had enough space as an adult so I hope I can get a place with enough balcony space for some veggies, especially green beans and peppers. Our trash is in a caged locker style enclosure with each unit number on it and a lock. We have a schedule and color bag system, and it works well. The cage lockers keep the birds out and the unit numbers helps the trash man see who isn't separating their trash correctly. They will leave a note and your trash behind for the first warning -after that there is a fine.

      @@SundaiLove I want to separate stuff so I know everything is recycled, instead of people just lying about recycling. However, no one wants to do it, so instead, I try to reuse what I can. The only problem is once I start reusing, I end up with so much stuff fast. It has really decreased the amount we throw away though, so I will always re-use what I can, and compost what I can instead of contribute to landfills on earth.

    Saitama City's trash is so simple! If it fits in a 70 liter bag, you can toss it in the regular trash. Every week there's a card board day, and a miscellaneous day (cans, bottles, pet bottles). No removing labels, though I was already in the habit of doing that in Fukuoka. Plus we we two small dumpsters for our tiny complex, so trash can go out early if it's stinky. I've been very fortunate with trash collection here, for which I'm grateful. And wow, you have some determined and smart crows! I miss the crows in Fukuoka; my neighborhood was full of ginormous ones. Between them, the hawks and the feral kitties, there were no vermin to be found.

    We have to have a bin for trash and one for recycle; we set them out the night before on our driveway and the trash people come through and dump them in the big truck if the bins are done correctly. If not, they leave them there. It goes to a facility where people are paid to sort the recycled items or land dump where people are paid to deal with the trash.

    Hi Sundaii, love your vids so much. About the trash: in Croatia we have to recycle (Plastic, paper, food waste, boxes, glass and metal) and usually every residental building has a "trash room" with seperate compartments for each trash. But people are people and some don't recycle, and then it's the building's person in charge's fault. Idk about seperate houses but I think they only have food waste seperated. Anyways LMAO it was nice talking about the trash girl you're a huge inspiration to me. Keep up the amazing work💓

    I moved to the U.K. several years ago from the US and there is a similar thing here about putting out your rubbish for collection. We separate things out as well but not to the extent that you do, I think this is done at the collection centre where it’s taken. Our thing here are the foxes. Yes, I’m central London there are foxes pretty much everywhere and they will get into your rubbish and make a mess of it. Lucky part of our council taxes we do have people who keep the streets clean.
    Love your videos and a great inspiration.
    All the best to you!

    Ok since you asked:
    In the Czech republic (Central Europe) majority of people recycle and sort their trash. There are community bins close to apartment buildings, or each building has its own little room just for bins. Those are usually only for mixed garbage - any dirty packaging from food, food leftovers etc. The employees that load that up on the truck have universal keys for the little rooms and they take out the bins and put them back. In our street it's usually twice a week at 7am.
    The plastics, paper and glass are separately thrown in bin "hubs". Those are usually used by multiple neighbourhoods.
    Thank you for coming to my trash ted talk.

    In my town garbage is picked up twice a week and I live with just my bf so we don't really have much waste so we can take out one bag a week and just leave that on the curb. Some neighbors have those big garbage bins with the wheels but others (like us) just leave the bag on the curb and the sanitation workers just take them. Definitely simpler but I wouldn't mind more separation of wastes to better the environment! Recycling is once a week so same thing basically

No recycling available in our area, but we do feed all of our scraps to the chickens and compost as much as possible to cut down on how much we have to send to landfill. A recipe that I make that utilizes tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapeños. I mince shrimp & shallot together until it turns into a paste. Then season it with black pepper and mushroom seasoning or chicken powder. Whatever you have. Or salt. Then I stuff the shrimp mix into the jalapeños, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Then I make a sauce by adding olive oil into a pan. Then sauté tomatoes and crushing it, shallots, soy sauce, palm sugar (any sugar), and black pepper. Adjust to your taste. If you like spicy add Birds Eye chili or even minced jalapeños. It’s sooo good with hot rice. And I garnish it with cilantro. You can eat it with a baguette as well. Hope this inspires your next meal. ❤

    We have wheelie bins. 4 per household. Green for garden/food waste. Blue for plastics and cans, black for paper/cardboards and grey for general waste and non-recyclable items.

  • @PeterandYen
    @PeterandYen Рік тому

    And yes we recycle in NZ, but it's really easy. For residential homes there's literally 1 big wheelie win for all recyclables to go into and that goes out on a certain day every fortnight 🙌 nice and easy 👍

    My county in nj garbage of course is separate but our recycling is put all together (boxes, paper, cans, bottles)

  • @DzzDiva
    @DzzDiva Рік тому

    Our trash system is very easy, they come twice a week and recycling is once a week. We get notes about not setting up the trash at night but we all do. There are neighborhood cats that get in it and leave a mess. We don't have to separate much.

    We but ours in trash bins, and we take it out to the end of our drive way after work. As our garbage truck is supposed to be at our neighborhood at 10am, but keeps coming around 11am-12pm. Rarely I've seen them around 9am.

    Hey girl hey! We ♻️ over here. We rinse it, break it down or whatever needs to be done to it. Then it goes into the big green recycling can. We literally have 1 bag of trash a week if that. That is for a family of 5- 1 Mom, 3 teens & a doggie

    The vegetable garden is thriving n surviving! You could also pickle the peppers since using them all at once isn't always an option. I usually buy jalapeno peppers raw then boil them for a very few minutes in white vinegar n sugar then I just store them in a jar to use whenever 😅 thanks for the awesome videos btw ❤
