The Royal Family must have realised very early on that a mediocre and mostly unsuccessful actress would not be an asset to their family.She obviously was bitter and very ambitious for her own fame to happen.

It's takes two to tango. A guilt-free side (the Monarchy/QEII/Chaz) would not allow H&Medusa to constantly poke the bear with their continued onslaughts unless there are some secrets that need to remain quiet or maybe collusion on some very embarrassing matters? It stands to reason that the titles should have been stripped once they fled to America. No half in/half out allowed; therefore their royal status should be a moot matter. Yet H&Medusa cling to their titles (and the perks) as if their lives depend on it (and they do). Why wasn't this done? IMHO, the race issue was a non-starter since Medusa lived her life as a white person until she met Harry - I think it has something to do w/the provenance of the invisible kid(z) and everyone's role in covering up the obvious.

I'm Canadian and was searching for British commentary after the late Queen's death when I stumbled upon Dan on GB news. I thought he was wonderful and made a point of watching all of his segments on the GB news channel. He was treated so poorly and I never believed any of the gossip about him. Many wealthy people know the value of money, which is how they got or remain wealthy. Whether it goes towards her restoration project of Castle Goring, her production costs, travel expenses, a favorite charity, or a cup of good coffee, or biscuits for her dogs, I don't care. I do think Lady C would appreciate any show of appreciation, as most gracious people do. $20 doesn't go very far these days and she is not the only person I gift small amounts to. I am a big tipper when I eat at restaurants, leave hotel maids big tips, especially at lesser hotels and motels where I doubt they get many tips, buy anything from kids raising money and support charities. Every one likes a little show of appreciation now and again, regardless of how much money one may or may not have. Surprises are wonderful, a few bills tucked in an envelope, someone paying your bridge toll, a stranger paying for your purchase when you left your credit card at home, and other such little kindnesses. Have you ever walked down the street and found $20 someone dropped? The little thrill of finding something? Maybe they did it on purpose hoping to make someone's day a little brighter! One time, while driving, I noticed bills flying across the highway and cars pulling over. Someone had thrown a large amount of 5, 10 and 20 dollar bills out of their car. This was near an area loaded with casinos, my guess is someone won big and wanted to share the jackpot. I picked up a couple hundred off the side of the highway, as did many others. It was fun, didn't matter that I had a good job and could afford my vacation. The surprise gave me little bit of joy and made me laugh. The world needs more joy, laughter, and little bits of money given freely without strings. My question to you is why did my little gift bother you enough to make a comment on my gift? Is it really any of your concern?

GB News play the National Anthem ' God Save the King' every day at 6am. Then, during the fiasco over Catherine's photo, they paraded one pathetic royal ' expert' after another saying how terrible that the photo has been tampered with, we need to know what is wrong with Catherine, how can we trust what the Royals say - blah blah bloody blah. It was sickening. I trust none of them. I've had enough of the lot of them. Thank goodness for Dan, Lady C and lots of good UA-camrs. And shame on GB News.

I know. I couldn't believe it! I rely on Lady C and other youtubers -- interestingly enough, many of my faves were chosen for the recent interviews with Lady C :). I will add that i live in the states and do not agree with a lot of what they seem to believe about the US (and i'm not a US citizen). But on anything about the royals and related topics, i love my youtube people :) and also was appalled by the way so many have been hounded and harassed.

Lady C, you and I are of the generations where we didn’t have a massive tv. When my mum got sick we would watch tv in her room on a tv that was about 20 inches and when I got sick after being hit by a car I started watching tv on my iPad.
As an American I only watched GB news when Dan Wooten was on. Now I don’t watch it at all. Enjoyed the conversation today. Thank you Lady C for having Dan on your channel.

Dan Wootten is correct. Mainstream media is dying. Most people use their phone for all information. I stopped watching anything but what I find on UTube and I use a laptop. I enjoy the idea that I can watch what I want, when I want and am not limited to network television.

My husband continues to watch the 6 o’clock news. I prefer using my phone so that I can watch everything in brief , not just the stories the tv channel chose to promote, and investigate more fully the stories that interest me, and draw my own conclusions.

As a parent, there would be no way I could reign in either of my children by the time they reached 25 years of age let alone at now 50 years of age. In fact due to his choice, my son rarely communicates with me since he hit 15 years of age & moved out & he is now just turned 50 & for years I didn't see him however, knowing his address I still send him birthday & Christmas cards & leave it at that. Having listened to Lady C talk about her mother, I now understand my son's behaviour better & personally am glad to not have to deal with him.

I was most amused when the date for Meghan & Harry's wedding was announced. If I was a royal bride, I would think it unlucky to be married on the 482nd anniversary of Anne Boleyn's execution. I have always wondered if the Queen was enjoying the joke, knowing that this wedding was the beginning of disaster.
As a historian I admire the jovial comment. However, the wedding date would not have had anything to do with a 16thC execution. Royal events have to fit around other national events such as sport as there are only so many people that can be on our roads and public transport system at one time. Logistics are planned a long time in advance and this wedding had to fit modern Britain more than it did a Tudor execution. To our constitutional monarchy everything that occurred before the civil war is not relevant. It happened to dead and deposed dynasties which culminated in abuses of power that led to regicide. The Windsors have no connection to the Tudors, Plantagenets, Angevins & co as they are from Scottish kings, with Anglo Saxon ancestry
