One question: if it's assumed the plane was piloted till the end, then why the presumed flightpath is a straight line at 3:15 ? Would it be totally out of question the hijacker changed the course numerous times, and potentially ditched it INSIDE the 7th arc? Just trying to piece things together. "Piloted till the end" and "it must be further outside the arc" does not necessarily go together. It would be great if Ocean Infinity could cover both your suggested area AND the IG & WSPR area.
Hello Peter ,yes the trajectory is almost a straight line (with the detail of the magnetic declination when it went to "true" as any airline pilot would do). We do not think that the pilot changed course around the 7th arc. He flew 6 hours south, and we think that he continued like this for the end of the flight. Yes.... the fact of going further than arc 7 is what we have been saying since the beginning. He flew his plane in a straight line while "gliding" and having all the aircraft circuits with the APU running. So he could have gone up to a maximum of 120 km after Arc 7.Capt pat☺
@patgros9273 I was just wondering, if the pilot stayed conscious & in control till the end, why would he fly a straight line. Why not change the direction numerous times (like WSPR approach suggests) to further cover up his path. Why not "glide in some circles" after fuel starvation, and then ditch inside the 7th arc. I'm just trying to get into the mind of such person. I do hope that Ocean Infinity will not only focus on the WSPR & IG area, but cover your area aswell 👍 I do hope the agreement with Malaysian government will give them enough flexibility to search anywhere. From what I understand, Malaysian parliament still needs to approve it (so far, only the cabinet has). Hope this will happen soon. Once they do, hopefully Ocean Infinity will be transparent about the search area & give regular updates
@@petermuller5800 indeed we could say a lot of "why?" But our BFO/BTO calculations show that for us it stayed in a straight line. Putting myself in the pilot's shoes (which I was for many years) I don't see myself flying 6 hours in a straight line and having fun doing circles afterwards or turning around. A pilot goes from point A to point B in the way he chose and there visibly it was a straight line all the way. In addition he was convinced that he had not been seen or traced by anything or anyone. Except that he forgot the satellite pings that he did not know and moreover he badly erased his PC and we found the trace of the two waypoints at 45 South. For us it glided in a straight line or thereabouts. For the ditching maybe it put itself parallel to the waves (as expected) or in a position where the sun would not generate it (in our opinion)... Happy new year! Capt pat😄
@patgros9273 Okay, now I understand - the straight line is based on data interpretation, not just assumption. Thanks for clarifying that 👍Me as a lay person, I dont feel able to judge whether WSPR or your approach is more correct. I just hope a new search will start soonest, and search in all possible areas. With Ocean Infinity's gear, it should be feasable to search multiple areas simultaneously. Things always move slowly in Malaysia (too much politics involved) but I hope, they will give it a go within Q1 2025
Agree with deliberate. Actually a number of observations say plane was piloted to end...(1) the home sim data implies, (2) the descent at Arc7 must be manual action because it does not make sense as automatic response, (3) SATCOM power off at end makes sense as action to attain radio silence and hide, (4) flaperon and other debris imply piloted action. IMHO we have been dealing with a biased philosophy of protecting Malaysia+aviation industry+aircraft design+pilot from blame , in other words, extreme reluctance to tell public what likely happened as long as there is at least a slim chance of explaining MH370 by ghost flight to end. However, while I appreciate the attempt, you are basing on French satellite views, which I believe is in conflict with actual flight data. I do agree with long distance from Arc7 by deliberate pilot probably hit Arc7 around 32s and kept going to somewhere (we have to guess) with some fuel. Most assumptions wrong that we have been spoon fed (straight flights etc). As soon as we say deliberate we lose support of most aviation modelers so we are stuck.
Thank you for your determination.
Thank you . Hope they will listen that.!

Let's hope Ocean Infinity takes your detailed work into account, Gilles. Fingers crossed.
Continue ce travail de qualité 👍
Hopefully, they’ll pay this video the deserved attention.
Thanks for them, Gilles 👍👋👋

Thank you Gilles for reestablishing the truth. We all hope Ocean Infinity will find the wreckage of MH370 in a near future !
