Good match. Both fighters played to their strengths and did not allow themselves to get drawn into their opponent's game. I would have had to score it a lot closer than the judges did.

Judges are from warrens camp I believe if that counts for anything. Penning did amazing considering Warrens stats are higher in height and reach - feels unfair honestly
At the weigh in they looked about the same size but, in the cage Lydia looks like she's in a higher weight class. Her legs look like tree trunks compared to Meghan.
@@user-uk9er8ur1k It isn't the only thing but, carrying around more natural muscle does make you heavier. Many muscular fighters have to cut more water weight to make the same weight before the fight and then they rehydrate to weight more than their opponent on the day of the fight. I thought this was common knowledge but I guess not.

welcome to stupid MMA rules. They not sure about PFC, but in UFC they dehydrate af to reduce the weight so they show a fake weight at the weight in day. Then within 24 hours they drink as much as they can to gain weight.

I feel like Warren would've done so much better if she would've pressured by cutting her opponent off insteaf of following her like that. At the same time she should've added more pressure by throwing combinations and ending with a kick. She kept admiring her shots way too much, specifically het right hand. You can't throw a punch and then pause or wave your hand around instead of bringing it right back to your check. That's how you get slept.
That freakin octagon is the size of a small city, they circled each other for a week before the fight started
Finding range is the goal of the first section of the first round, Warren has like 6” reach advantage on Penning which she needed to feel out because it’s deadly not to. If/when you put in the work you’ll understand a lot more about the sport

I felt it was a little closer than the judges, but Lydia definitely won. I Meaghan could have put something together on the ground, it might have been different. But a definite win for Lydia. First time I've seen either. They are both great.

Excellent recovery on both fighters the take downs went both ways however the incumbent has the burden than the retainer of the belt bout' good job Lydia, the ground grappling that penning wanted, was reversed the leg hold after and using positioning to drop her was allowing both fighters to maintain on their feet bouncing... Meaghan went to the distance ending in the bell to be rung at the end of round 3 taking a beating she showed impressive endurance, with a shiner and a smile... I believe we haven't seen the last of these young, hangry, vixens of the octagon. 🐙
Excellent fight. Very good looking women too. Announcers were lucky that the majority of it happened right in front of them. Would love to meet that female calling the fight. Beauty for sure.

Meg did very good not to get knocked out, Lydia was starting to get into her face more and the evidence was increasingly becoming clear. I have seen the damage she can do. Meg's face was beginning to tell a story. Another round and she would look like a jigsaw puzzle
Judges got it right, Warren was more aggressive and more effective.

I'm a Penning fan because she was on Master Kens YT channel but she clearly lost.
She got out struck round one, took a black eye in round two and got out paced and taken down at the end in round three.

Lydia was more composed and just landed more shots. I think she easily won the first round. The second round was a draw. And the third round she edged out slightly with more punches landed.

Red was the better boxer, plus she did that damage on blue. Blue had some good wrestling moments and a near finish on a submission after using her opponent's wrestling against her.
I like watching a BJJ fighter use a wrestler's wrestling against them, and she did that well, and I think it was enough to take that round, but Red won the fight for me 29-28

I don't know what the surface was in the cage, but it was unsuitable for the event. Whenever they were on the cage you could see that their feet were sliding on the covering.
Unsuitable as well as possible dangerous. There were wrinkles in the material which could lead to a slip or inadvertent trip. They should do better if all the protestations of caring for the fighters well being above all are more than just lip service.

very one sided fight and semi pro skills, both are good young athletes with time to hone it. Penning did a good job eventually finding some holds but doesn't have the ring experience to do much with it, yet.... But this was all Warren, and seemed mismatched. 30-27 for sure.

Judges aren’t supposed to score based on that because fighters have different swelling responses that have nothing to do with how hard they got hit. Watch any Asian fighter in the Ufc. I am half Asian. I swell very easily.
