This was a fantastic demo, no bull just great playing and a really thought out way of testing the tones. I’ve been looking for a hotter neck pickup so finding this review for the Injector neck pickup is super helpful.
Great demonstration of the variety of tones available with basic amp settings and a single pedal. I'd love to see this exact same demo with the DiMarzio prewired HS and Area pickguards too, just to get a direct comparison. (Leaning towards the HS set, but undecided.)
Thank you very much. I’m going to look into the pickups that you mentioned. I bet they sound amazing too. You’ll make the right choice. I chose these because I wanted to keep a traditional single coil sound while canceling the hum.
So cool of you to say. Very happy that you found this video helpful. That's a very interesting guitar the Jackson SLX4. I've never seen it before. I like the 3 single coil configuration. These pickup's would work very well in that ax. Awesome. Make some great music. Let me know how it goes.
I put the Injector bridge pup in a couple of my CS strats just to get a little more meaty (and noiseless) lead tone when on the bridge pickup. It works great for that, but it’s NOT at all a strat scooped pickup sound, it’s almost too much with the overemphasized mids, but I guess that’s inevitable when you wind a single coil pickup that hot.
Wow! They do sound humbucker-ish, with a little more spank and sparkle. To me, they don’t sound like traditional single coils at all, which was the goal of their design, I guess.
Thank you Jon for your great comment. Your description is pretty much right on. It really feels to me like a single coil with hum cancelation. It breaks up the distortion more like a single coil would. Not as smooth as a humbucker. Very versatile if you need a guitar for everything. To record heavy crunch I tend to use my SG, or Hamer with humbuckers. Thanx my friend.
I think the instrument itself sounds bad. The top and bottom are not revealed. Pickups cannot reveal what is not in the instrument. Either that's how you adjust the sound.
Thank you for your comment. I love my Strat so I'm going to stick up for it. The pickups are good and they serve me well out on tour. Perhaps it's not the best recording or playing but I did my best at the time to demonstrate them. I respect your opinion 🎸
@@EarthtonesOfficial So cool. I look forward to more Eric. Love his playing. He's awesome. Glad that you enjoyed the video. Enjoy the Injector pickup. Love to know how it goes.
Hello. I did some research online. It looks as though they came stock with Genuine 920D Custom 250K Pots. I'm so happy that you enjoy the sound. Thank you.
Thank you Don for the comment. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. They're very silent. It's just like playing with a guitar with humbuckers. They are hum cancelling pickups but they do regain most of the sound from single coil pickups. You do get both worlds with these pickups. No more hum than any other guitar.
@@JerryCherryBand does it have the fullness of a humbucker and like the loudness of a humbucker though? I just wanna ask since I wanna see if I should get these or the PG-13 mini hums
@@bubbaszay8038 They do. Very full and loud. They do have a bit more characteristics of a single coil but very crunchy and quiet. Very versatile. I would put the original single coils back in before I ever put another stacked stacked humbucker in. Enjoy. Thank you for watching.
Are you related to Paul Stanley? You sound allot like him when you talk. You sound nothing like him when you play though, your chops are allot better than his will ever be.
Haha. I wish. I'm a huge KISS fan. No relation though. I was in a band managed by their former manager Bill Aucoin. Thank you for the compliment on my playing. Very cool of you to say.
@@JerryCherryBand Have an Ibanez Fireman with the same pickups. However, I think I want more crystalline tones. I wish to install a 500k. Your thoughts?
@@endlessfrogs2972 You have a good ear if you can hear the sound of the pot's. I don't really know much about them so I watched a good video on it. These pickups aren't as bright as true single coils. You seem to lose a bit of high end with hum cancelling pu's. Might not be a bad idea to use 500k. Maybe just for the tone knob? Thank you for bringing this up.

This is the demo I needed! Definitely putting these in my Jackson SL4X now, great video.

I was thinking the same thing for the same guitar!
@@connor_gee right! Great guitar, mediocre pickups.
@@connor_gee For the Fender or the Jackson?
@@JerryCherryBand For the Jackson, no idea why they made a SSS guitar with all rail pickups, seems a waste not having any quacky tones.

How would u compare the injector bridge to the chopper S pickup?
Superb!!!! That was awesome Jerry:)Enjoyed and Liked!
You are the best Rona. Looking forward to listening to you here later.
Very Nice sound, clear and no hum.
Thanks!

Those are some cool licks.
Thank you very much. Very happy that you did them.
Wow, this the best demo why i should keep my cs69 Singles in my strat. Sounds horrible imho.
do you think your Injector Neck sounds close to a paf pro in the neck position?
The injector in the neck is amazing. Just played Sweet child O' Mine live and it was blistering. Great and versatile pickup set. Thanx 🎸
Injectors are awesome. I threw them in my fender stratocaster.
Very cool Daniel. I’ve been very happy with them in my Strat. Very versatile. Rock on 🎸
