Cool video guys. Gonna show my kids. I remember those two strip malls vividly.

Wow, what a throwback from the past! Everything was so much cooler back then. I see there used to be a Kids R Us & Barnes & Noble in that shopping plaza too. Great video!

What a great video. I remember running around the hall of the “amusement park” when I was little. lol. There used to be a DMV in there.

Yeah, we went to that DMV, also a Marine recruiter office was in there. It was heated inside so as kids we'd use it to do things like play badminton in the winter until they kicked us out.

That area was a regular stop for me when I lived in Jersey. Bought most stuff at Crazy Eddies.

I still have Cerwin Vega D9's and a Soundcraftsmen amplifier from Crazy Eddies! Probably a few more items as well, used to walk there almost daily from our apartment.

Sheesh, I always knew that place as run down. It's wild it used to be so alive once.

Crazy how growing up we used to go to the mall. Definitely a dying culture. A lot of these are being torn down now.

@@robwasnj Yeah its a different time. Im only 20 and even I can see the square mall losing popularity nowdays.

@@impg8801 dying for sure. I remember when it was built, I also remember when someone drove a car through it (and got away!). Had to be in the 90's there was talk of updating the mall, putting on a 2nd level and a parking deck but it never happened. I feel like people wanting the mall experience head to premium malls and bypass brunswick square... but all mall traffic is down compared to 20 years ago. Before we had phones and social media the mall was a place young people would gather to hang out and connect. I'm not going to call it the "good ole days" but for sure we've changed how we interact with one another massively in a short timeframe.

Lol, so true. I lived right there, the security would always make us feel like criminals. Never liked that part about the Wiz, maybe others agreed and it's why they're gone.

It is, it was a Hardees when we moved to the apartments in the 70's.
