I greatly appreciate Allison sharing her story. I'd like to add that men can get breast cancer too. My father had four different kinds of cancer in his lifetime: skin, breast, prostate, and kidney. It was the kidney cancer that got him in the end. I have stage IV cancer (not breast cancer). My cancer has that same HER2+ marker that can be found in breast cancer patients. This was fortunate for me since this meant that there was a treatment that they could offer me. I follow a whole food plant based diet. It greatly helps me tolerate my chemo with minimal side effects. I never did lose my hair even without the cold cap treatment. It did thin out greatly but is growing back. Best of luck in your fight!

Thanks for your great channel! Can I suggest maybe some colorful pretty backgrounds? Looks bleak and colorful would be more reminiscent of the healthy food.
I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I am almost 100% raw vegan whole food plant based with lots of cruciferous veggies, too. I ordered a broccoli sprout kit over a year ago, but have procrastinated actually setting it up (thinking what I'm doing is enough). But maybe now I'll actually start growing some and eating them. I'm sure you and Chuck know about eating a small amount of raw cruciferous with your cooked cruciferous, but perhaps some listeners should research the best way to cook and eat broccoli. I am keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.
2015 article title: Oxalate induces breast cancer. "We found that all tested breast tumor tissues contain a higher concentration of oxalates than their counterpart non-pathological breast tissue. Moreover, it was established that oxalate induces proliferation of breast cells and stimulates the expression of a pro-tumorigenic gene c-fos." Notice how it says all tested, not some, or might, or maybe or perhaps, or sometimes, but all. What foods are highest in oxalates?
I’ve been on a steamed veggie train lately too, love it. Simple steamed broccoli, cauliflower, okra whatever I’m feeling! Toss some sprouts and beans on there, delicious!
she hit on the feelings i had exactly except i was not given the DFlap procedure until after i have been in pain for over a year because of the implants and the cancer is back in full force stage 4 and i sztill cant due the surgery
Fasting during chemo also makes tumor cells more vulnerable to chemo induced oxidative radicals since fasting itself increases oxidative radicals in the tumor cells but not normal cells, resulting in more dead tumor cells.
The Fasting during chemo seems to be absolutely key and def not placebo. Dr Eric Berg conducted an interview with a French guy who lives in the US and he fasted before his chemo and then also did not fast and he said he was “as sick as a dog” when he ate. Please pass this super vital information on to others.
The sadness thing is my first and biggest thing I thought of is "that sounds very expensive!" I hope it does not bankrupt her family. My best wishes, hope she has very good insurance.
I would have done water fasting for at least 10 days immediately after diagnosis and before surgery. I would not be concerned about weight loss. It might have slowed progression and if so delayed or postponed surgery. If not, then after surgery I would have considered metabolic therapy as recommended by Dr Thomas Seyfried.
I had this exact cancer and reconstruction in my mid thirties so similar age. I am now 55 and I have just developed two different types of breast cancer in my reconstructed breast. I have been told that some dodgy cells must have got left behind in the skin (20 years ago). I am being told I need another mastectomy and skin grafting. Very upsetting to be going through it all again,, and the surgery and treatment being recommended seems very extreme. I am just about to try a long fast whilst I am deciding which surgery I am going to have. I would prefer not to have any!
@@theresa94010 - thank you Theresa for your kind wishes. I am really not sure this time. They are going to be stealing skin from my leg so I am assuming it will be very tight. I also don't think I could go through the reconstruction again.
Let's not forget 1st Peter 2:24. With Jesus stripes you are healed, but you have to ask and believe when you pray. Jesus is a healer and Savior and when you seek for him with all your heart you will find him.
In terms of longevity, when diets which include processed meats or fish only diets are stratified within the study population, vegans show little to know advantage in longevity (not cancer specifically). However, keeping IGF-1 is important and I regularly have my doctor check my IGF biomarkers to make sure I’m on the low side.
Lovin the positive vibes , all the best Alison to you and your lovely family 🥰 just starting in this journey at 64 , second taxol and using cold cap hope i get as good results as you have , you look amazing ....out to buy some caulilower and brocoli sounds delish 😋x

In all fairness maybe the vegan diet isn’t as healthy as they say. We need to look at countries like Japan and Middle East where cancer rates are really low and longevity is the norm. Also estrogen driven cancers should require one to not eat high glycemic index foods- (in fact go low carb) which you cannot do on a vegan diet. In my humble opinion it’s about eating a well balanced diet, avoiding alcohol, avoiding seed oils, avoiding fragrances, synthetic perfumes, dyes and detergents, plastic in our clothing, fasting regularly, avoiding processed foods, eating at home and having physical activity, having a meaningful supporting community and God. My prayers and wishes for her to heal soon and come out stronger.
Let me guess - they talk about everything but the elephant in the room - that the incidences of cancer in people who just got stuck with the 'carrot' (I can't say the real word because I'll get flagged) has gone through the roof. She got the carrot because she works in health care, right? It's impossible to take these people seriously because they don't ever talk about the real cause of what's happening with cancer rates in the past year.
Breastfeeding protects against cancer. Cancer does not develop in few months, it takes years. It was there before you even conceived but too small to be picked up. Actually breastfeeding may have saved your life by making the lump visible and therefore treated on time!
My genetic oncologist and I discussed the reasonable thought that fertility treatments may have played a role, as well. Fertility treatments + Gene Mutation? We will never know for certain.
@@happycook6737 There is certainly something to be said about PCOS and/or fertility treatments in its relationship with cancer. I hope you are doing well!
Please, it’s not as if healthy eating and exercise reduce any one’s risk to zero. There can be all kinds of environmental impacts and even bad luck of a mistake during cell turnover. No one ever could know, if with known risk factors.

Thanks for your great channel! Can I suggest maybe some colorful pretty backgrounds? Looks bleak and colorful would be more reminiscent of the healthy food.
Sending prayers, kindness and much love for your journey to healing health 🙏💕
Praying for you my dear
Yum, yum, yum!!
she hit on the feelings i had exactly except i was not given the DFlap procedure until after i have been in pain for over a year because of the implants and the cancer is back in full force stage 4 and i sztill cant due the surgery
❤ thanks for this
Fasting during chemo also makes tumor cells more vulnerable to chemo induced oxidative radicals since fasting itself increases oxidative radicals in the tumor cells but not normal cells, resulting in more dead tumor cells.
❤❤
The Fasting during chemo seems to be absolutely key and def not placebo. Dr Eric Berg conducted an interview with a French guy who lives in the US and he fasted before his chemo and then also did not fast and he said he was “as sick as a dog” when he ate. Please pass this super vital information on to others.
Agreed - as a researcher with a PhD, I tend to look rather closely at study results. Dr. Valter Lingo has the data from a number of institutions.
Dr Long has a non profit foundation now! Creative Cures.
The sadness thing is my first and biggest thing I thought of is "that sounds very expensive!" I hope it does not bankrupt her family. My best wishes, hope she has very good insurance.
In the US, insurers are required to pay for reconstruction.

How are you now
How is she doing it's been several months
I had this exact cancer and reconstruction in my mid thirties so similar age. I am now 55 and I have just developed two different types of breast cancer in my reconstructed breast. I have been told that some dodgy cells must have got left behind in the skin (20 years ago). I am being told I need another mastectomy and skin grafting. Very upsetting to be going through it all again,, and the surgery and treatment being recommended seems very extreme. I am just about to try a long fast whilst I am deciding which surgery I am going to have. I would prefer not to have any!
Sending you best wishes from California. Another mastectomy on the reconstructed breast? How unfortunate! Can it be reconstructed again?
@@theresa94010 - thank you Theresa for your kind wishes. I am really not sure this time. They are going to be stealing skin from my leg so I am assuming it will be very tight. I also don't think I could go through the reconstruction again.
Let's not forget 1st Peter 2:24. With Jesus stripes you are healed, but you have to ask and believe when you pray. Jesus is a healer and Savior and when you seek for him with all your heart you will find him.
Amen ❤
Sometimes Jesus heals his children on earth and sometimes we get His healing in heaven. It all depends on God's will for our lives.
Lovin the positive vibes , all the best Alison to you and your lovely family 🥰 just starting in this journey at 64 , second taxol and using cold cap hope i get as good results as you have , you look amazing ....out to buy some caulilower and brocoli sounds delish 😋x
thank god, they wanted me to wait a month to get a biopsy. now still waiting, in 3 weeks I get a lumpectomemy.
Has anyone ever looked in high dose intravenous vitamin C, liposomal Vitamin C, Turkey Tail mushroom supplement? Have heard wonderful testimonies about decrease in tumors or total elimination of cancer cells. Dr. Tomas Levy.
I wonder what your opinion is of having an Integrative Oncologist involved?

Good nutrition can quickly become quackery, when misused and misunderstood.
I can’t tell my doctors anything. I fast 72 hrs. Do cold packs on hands and feet plant based no oil sugar etc.. they boo it all. They are nuts
❤beautiful. You are not alone. Are the cold packs working?! Thank you
🪔🥗🥥get well soon💖📿🙏
dcis with microinvasion isnt stage 0.
You roasted the cauliflower in 425 F, doesn't it too high temperature for cancer patient?
Any particular reason it seems too high of a roasting temperature?
@@wholesomellc Maybe they are thinking roasting vegetables is like roasting meat (in meat creates heterocyclic amines).
Let me guess - they talk about everything but the elephant in the room - that the incidences of cancer in people who just got stuck with the 'carrot' (I can't say the real word because I'll get flagged) has gone through the roof. She got the carrot because she works in health care, right? It's impossible to take these people seriously because they don't ever talk about the real cause of what's happening with cancer rates in the past year.

genetics. nutrition cannot overcome it. cannot prevent.
❤❤
dang. going to get genetic testing now.
Fasting and the carnivore diet would be even more affectIve.
You have cancer?
She said she doesn't eat red meat, does she eat cheese and other animal products? I wish her the best
Thank you so much for your support! ❤ I do not eat cheese or other animals products - at least for the last 6 years, when I went plant-based. 😊
💞🙏💞
Breastfeeding protects against cancer. Cancer does not develop in few months, it takes years. It was there before you even conceived but too small to be picked up.
Actually breastfeeding may have saved your life by making the lump visible and therefore treated on time!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for your support! ❤
Gimme roasted cabbage.
That sounds delicious!
She didn't say what she did or ate, that triggered or reacted with her negative BC gene?
My genetic oncologist and I discussed the reasonable thought that fertility treatments may have played a role, as well. Fertility treatments + Gene Mutation? We will never know for certain.
@@wholesomellc I had fertility treatments, long history of PCOS. I got uterine cancer which was surgically removed.
No one ever could know, if with known risk factors.
maybe ppl at the game were hungry?
I get a pro vaccine vibe from her. So yes vaccinated. Going plant based is following the crowd mentality. I don’t understand her over confidence.
