This is why I dislike Adam as the Commissioner. David Stern was absolutely the worst, but Adam is not a good commissioner either, but for reasons like this, where he constantly repeats the same exact answer/speech about expansion, constantly delaying it, putting it off, complaining about something that hasn't been real/a problem for quite a few seasons now (parity), making some boneheaded deals that screw over fans, won't force the Blazers to be sold (again, Adam loves to just sit on his hands), being FAR too player biased, etc, etc. Also, it shouldn't be Washington, but the entire Northwest demanding the Sonics return in full when you mentioned who is doing so. Even here in RipCity, the Sonics are our team as much as the Blazers are & vise versa.
I have lived in the Salem area for 23 years. But, I grew up west of Seattle. I have remained loyal to all the Seattle first, then the rest of the Washington teams. I hope the Sonics come back so I can trash talk you Blazer fans, and you trash talk me, a nice, friendly rivalry!
We have all seen the proof that professional athletes can't drive and follow simple instructions. Make them ALL take an UBER to the venue and spread their ill-gotten wealth. Other than that, they need a handler.
I am getting the feeling that the NBA wont be coming back to Seattle. Theres just always something getting in the way. The basketball gods certainly have something personal against Seattle
NBA can suck Rocks how they handled the coup against the Sonics. Never watched another NBA game after that, nor will in the future, even IF the Sonics come back. College ball is more fun to watch, more team oriented, and they have to play at their best in order to continue on after college.
I have lived in Oregon for 23 years. But, I lived west of Seattle for 14 1/2 years growing up. I am loyal to the Seattle teams first, then the rest of the Washington teams. I hope the Sonics come back soon!!!!
The idea is to keep Seattle with an NBA-ready arena so that the NBA has maximum leverage to force taxpayers in other municipalities to pony up for arenas.
That's ancient history, these days taxpayers would reject any initiative to pony up for new arena's or teams and city would certainly not put it up for vote. 25 years ago sure, not today.
I think the Caitlin Clark effect is making the NBA restructure their monetary support, and hopefully expansion will come soon. Just a guess.
Been hearing it for years, more nothing burger news.
Seattle or Vegas which one deserves it more?
Seattle more bc Vegas was born just because a lot money will earn from Vegas

Waste of time. No news.

college ball is more fun to watch... 🤔
*bleep* the NBA! And Howard Schultz too!
It’s like anyone’s work place. You talk about the same thing over and over as if they have never heard before.
Seattle and Vancouver both got robbed.
We will end up like the Tuba guy tho.
RIP Tuba guy.

Only so much he can say now.
