@VictorDozalTutorials great tutorial. Worked like a charm!! Very well done video. Can you share how to send someone an encrypted document when they send you their public encryption key?
It was amazing video. However I do have a question - is encrypted email using pgp and signed email using pgp the same thing ? if not could u plz tell me how to send signed email using pgp ?
Encrypted email is signed with the receiver's public key so that the contents of the email can only be opened by the receiver (with his private key). Signed email is signing with the sender's private key to verify that the file was sent by the sender and has been unmodified since the time of signing (Anyone can access it if it was only signed).
Hello so i dont remeber the passphrase but after seen this tutorial the security passphrase is the same as the password? if so how can I reset my password ? or how to do I reset my passphrase?
Hi Victor, great video.. I hope you can help me out and I bet lots here are having the same problem.. Every thing you said I followed with great ease..Only problem I have is when I say send for email..my mac only opens up Apple Mail.. I don't have an apple mail account and use others.. How would I change/tell GPG to not default to Apple Mail ??? Thanks much and just so you know I have tried several totorials on this subject and yours was the best...
I'm confused You send the encrypted message to someone else ( not yourself). How do they decrypt it? You can right click and decrypt because you installed the software and sent it to yourself. How does the person on the receiving end decrypt? DO they need the same software OR passcode you set up ahead of time? When someone sends you a GDG encrypted file back, how do I open that? As far as the steps to set it up. Very simple and well done. Using the software needs more explanation. Thanks.
This is an incomplete tutorial. You show how to create a key, but then don't show how to use someone else's key to send a message to them, thus causing confusion.
Ok so, PGP encrypting a message.. Making it so you KNOW damn well that your message is read ONLY by the recipient... Right? Is that basically the nutshell here? Or is there more to it? If not & it's just a method to secure your message so that it's not interpreted from an outside party. If that's the case.. Why? Like who are these opposing or 'intrusive' individuals & what are they after? I'm assuming the idea is protection from hackers like... bank info or something with $$ ? Like a way of pulling a little "swiper no swiping" ordeal? But I can't help but wonder why on Earth we arent eliminating these 'thiefs' by just letting them have what they 'think' they want. They must be a 'theif' for a reason. I understand that there's military & keeping information secure & avoid leaking out critical information where I have to wonder again... How do we just sleep knowing that there's these opposing forces who 'think' they might need to have a weapon handy. They think they 'might' need a tank close by fueled up, all locked with stock & ready to rock. Well we got these land mines & pipe bombs ... couple grenades I mean ... Ya never know right? Like thish shit's so Fucking STUPID. What a bunch of numb skull Dumb asses I swear.
This shows how to create your own key. How do you add somebody else's key? Is that import?

Can you reverse if you allow to use the public key
Great video, if I only want add a security from I’m truly the sender, what’s better add a comodo email certificate or sign with PGP. Or can use both ?

If you want to send a encrypted message to someone then firstly you need their public key and they will decrypt that message with a private key.
Hey I have a question can I email you ??
where can I see my secret key?
great
Is it safe to use Google?
no, use duckduckgo on tor for more privacy
Cool Vidéo :)
I can't decrypt a message from somebody. I have its public key and he have mine...

Hey, same guy different video. Just watched your video from 6 years ago but none of the links would work.
It says my PGP key is invalid when i followed these steps?
Same problem here! Did you ever get that sorted?
