I really hate the the fact that so many people throw her so much shade like she’s a scrub. At the time she fought Goku at martial arts tournament she was literally one of the strongest & most skilled people on the planet.
Was arguing with a friend that the reason Gohan has all the hidden potential think going on for him and Trunks doesn't (in spite of being the son of a "super elite"), is because he's the son of two fighters.

chi chi's insane innate potential explains why Gohan is such an insane prodigy that he is. He has Chi Chi's potential with Goku's Saiyan blood.
Not just Gohan, but Goten as well. He's not ever gonna be more than a side character who just happens to be the son of the main character, but people forget that he unlocked Super Saiyan at 6 years old just from sparring with her.

Beast being a derivative of Gohan’s human Lineage could actually work! I never thought of it before & I mostly dislike the transformation due to lack of explanation for how he achieved it, but the ox-king’s family having some sort of hidden berserker form or traits would definitely go a long way in helping me actually like the form.

Personally i think chichi should have grown giant like ox king, just pure amazon build 8 or 9 ft tall woman of just raw muscular power. It woukd have made hers and gokus dynamic so much better and funnier.
I'm honestly surprised he said Chichi tried to be a good wife. She did what a lot of people do and pretend to be a pure-hearted, great person, but once she ended up with the man she wanted she showed her true self.
Also I find it funny Chichi kept switching the career she would force Gohan into yet people think Gohan was not brainwashed into it.
Funny enough Gohan’s career in bugs was foreshadowed in a book he was reading. Either in the ship to Namiek or the ship to move Goku around, until Krillen tackled Goku through the ship.

@ yeah, rewatching DBZ I've noticed the book Gohan was reading was on the career he ended up in.
In Xenoverse Beast is obtainable by all races, so it could be, by extension, a transformation branch which occurs as a result of a Potential Unleashing, so I could see Chi-Chi achieving Beast.
I always kind of felt like gohans beast form could have been influenced by Chichi, with her Dad being the OxKing and stuff.

Chichi took a hit from a kid super Saiyan who scared Gohan who was out of shape by the take she's an adult.
She'd probably be very strong in human standards especially with someone like Goku to train with and later Gohan giving him that extra boost in power.

Plot twist: chi chi is secretly the original tone travel from universe 0, and the original creator of ultra instinct and is just in hiding cuz of her real identity is discovered, she'll have to listen to King Kaio tell bad jokes again, which is the whole reason she became the first time travel in the first place so she could erase his memory of her

Honestly she would have been left in the dust after Frieza just like the other human fighters. I mean they did their best to keep up but they really were all kicked to the curb after awhile.
Chichi may have achieved her goal at being a good mother and wife, correct me if I’m wrong, but I still haven’t seen anyone thank her for that in the anime. Especially considering how often Goku isn’t around. I think they could have had her in Daima. How cool it would have been to see her back action.

I find it so funny. I have a friend who recently got into Dragon Ball and the first thing she told me is that she HATES Chi-Chi and ironically she reminds me so my much of her.
Gohan would be insane in this timeline since this version of Chi Chi wouldn't discourage him from training. Quite the opposite, in fact. And considering the base power level he had when Raditz arrived in the original timeline, he'd probably be strong enough to send his uncle packing singlehandedly.
He never sought training consistently anyway. He only ever stood up for what's right during conflicts.
@SaiyanScholar True. But that's partially because his mother pushed him towards a scholarly life. If Goku and Chi Chi took Gohan under their wings and trained him from a young age, he would likely have a very different mindset.

While I can understand why many fans voice discontent with her character. and agree her fighting potential could've been exploited more, as you said she wanted to be the best wife/mother and she was, and besides, what is a good wife/mother if they're not annoying, like she could be? lol
I think this also why Gohan has so much potential , he comes from two different warrior bloodlines and the human / saiyan hybrid potential. And it would also help with pan having saiyan/hybrid and ox kings and mr satans genes

i'd always wished chi-chi was more relevant to the story, seeing this vid has made me realize how much more relevant she could have become if given a chance.
Mrs Chi chi Not only do you have my Respect but loyalty you represent Good woman and that anything is possible and For taking care of Mr Goku, Gohan and Goten.
Chi-Chi also goes into Rage mode whenever she is in trouble or when the Red Ribbon Army had her Dad cornered. Gohan also displays the same ability in the future. Its possible beast mode/hidden potential of Gohan is the result of Chi-Chi's untapped human potential combined with Goku's Saiyan genes.
Beast mode was created to keep Gohan relevant after Goku got Ultra Instinct and Vegeta got Ultra Ego. Three different forms of similar power since recycling a form would be "boring"
As for it's nature? Many spectate it's an evolution of Gohan's ultimate form merged with SS2
I've always wanted a scene in the anime where Chi-Chi learns to fly, but not because of training, but because she did it solely to nag Goku/Gohan about something while they were in the air.

That's some misconception of Old Kai's ritual. It takes all your abilities and potentials and consolidates it into a form where you won't even need to transform in order to achieve your strongest, currently. Chi-Chi doesn't have any hidden rage, and as far as we know, once a human has their hidden potential pulled out, that's it for them. They would train more linearly from that point on(ie Krillin). So, after Old Kai's ritual, Chi-Chi would just get her current max potential and Kaio-Ken added on to her base without needing to activate Kaio-Ken. At that point, she would need to retrain herself to be able to handle anymore Kaio-Ken boosts, or else she would kill herself. Plus, Kaio-Ken has a physical strain on your body after you use it too long, so it would make more sense for Chi-Chi to never use it again now that she has the ability at her fingertips as Ultimate Chi-Chi.
Hot damn, I hit like from go, lol. I wanted her to be a Z fighter, watching her and Goku partner up (not just for making babies 😅) would have been awesome
I think her PL in the 23rd tournament was exaggerated in the databook. She got thrown off the ring by the air pressure of Goku's held back punch, which is far under Krillin's performance against Piccolo despite being in the same PL ballbark and Piccolo was relative to Goku (maybe a bit stronger). She got negative diffed harder than the Z fighters against DK Piccolo. I'd place her at 80-100 PL in that tournament, around 21st tournament Goku, considering her father was 80-100 PL himself and had incomplete training and never learned the kamehameha.
Basically if she didn't meet that one old lady who drove her to be a stay at home housewife.
Maybe a different female character taught her... Ooo maybe she somehow got to Baba, and either she taught her, OR she let her talk to her mother's spirit. *Who outright tells her to follow her heart, and do ANYTHING to stay by her love's side.*

Sorry to debunk it but Chi- chi 's potential stops when Chi - chi " defeated" by Goku at the tournament before they engage.
It has not to do with her appetite for training - but with how her muscles work. Yamcha and Tien went further in dragon Ball z because when they died they kept their bodies and trained as deads. We know dead's body in the afterlife has more stamina and durability. If Chi- chi had that potential she would enter the room of spirit at the Cell 's games period ( because she would wanted to protect Gohan and would not be just a viewer as when first Vegeta fought Gohan on earth). So as Videl ( when she got beaten at the tournament and when Kibito with Gohan were flying in their average speed and at that speed Videl felt underwelming and stop the flight) both Chi - chi and Videl understood that as Eartlings they reached their maximum potential.
When you used the example of the scene Chi - chi spared with Goten , Goten was not trained as Goku at that age , he did not face stronger opponets. Just because Goku and Vegeta were already reached the super Saiyian state before they impregnate their women , that state was way accessible to these two kids.

Hi I agree with your premise but there is something you probably don't know about, she received Saiyan DNA through her pregnancies with both Gohan and Goten, which makes her a Human-Saiyan hybrid
So there could be a possibility with the blood of Gohan and Goten through her body she might have a power like Gohan's hidden power or even super sayan adjacent.

This is what I was hoping would happen after Chi Chi and Goku got married.
They would fight together as a family.
So how strong would yamcha be if he constantly train since he don't have potential like chi chi or yajirobe or tien??
Pluss let's say Chichi is where Gohon got beast from from and didn't know it, being Ox king's daughter she never got pushed to the point where she had to loose it and snap maybe she'd almost have Devine Kie, training with Kami and king Kie learning Kio ken she might be able to reach the human equivalent of God Kie she'd most likely be on parr with super Saiyan 3 Goku .
If you wanted to rewrite Chi-Chi as a fighter, here's what I would've done, and this is all story-terms. All you power-scalers get to decide what her numbers would be.(:-

Chi-Chi, witnessing her crush as super-strong and cool, she remembers her father talking about some of his history as a fighter. "Maybe that's why he was so strong!", she notes.
Basically, Chi-Chi trains with her father in preparation for the tournament.

Chi-Chi becomes a student in the Turtle School of fighting with Yamcha(this would no doubt prove useful to our boy's development in the future)
She joins the 22nd Tenkaiichi Budokai, being able to use Ki beams
-Post Piccolo Daimao And Pre-23rd Tenkaiichi Budokai
I would assume that Chi-Chi would use this time to train with Karin, who would send her to train with God, where Goku is. In that time, she would learn all the things Goku did.

no offense but the image you use to say chichi has a power level of 130 says dumb stuff like that king piccolo is stronger than kami that raditz has a power level of 1500 and that nappa has a power level of 4000 (it's way higher if you think abt it for 2 seconds) i dont think it's a valid source
If chichi trained, she could defiantly surpass Krillen(one of the strongest humans) but the zenkai boosts pretty much garuntees saiyans always have the edge.
Then again, it's possible. The Dragon Ball team loves nonsensical plot twists to keep characters relevant, prime example being Frieza gaining a power that rivals Goku's god form after merely a few months of training

and just needed to train for much shorter time then goku did in a maximum efficient manner, explaining partly why gohan beside potential genetics, would be Genetics plush working smarter rather than harder.
"She will be as strong as the plot needs her to be" the plot always requires the human/other Z fighters to be at least as strong as Goku is in his base form, using their training as a reference as children Goku and Krillen in dragon ball were at least equal in fighting power of course because Goku was an alien and didn't know it he was just a lil bit stronger than Krillen fighters like Tien and Chaosue were probably on parr with him considering before Goku started on his journey they were just a step or 2 ahead of him because they had meditation focusing and controlling energy to the dodon ray so Goku was just as powerful without energy manipulation which means if he had it he'd be stronger, Tien and Chaosue being just a step or 2 ahead of him is what kept them even because Goku was an alien and didn't know it he always had hidden energies he didn't know how to use right away.
Chichi would be on parr if she trained which means if she advanced like the Z fighters she'd probably be on parr with Krillen and Tien and master Rochi in DBS and we all know they at least pushed Goku in super Saiyan 2 in DBS so in DBS Chichi would be as strong super Saiyan 2.
You also forgot that if Goku and Chichi are training together that's it actually increase the power level as well.
And I mean if she trained with Goku from the very beginning chichi, Goku and the others should also have gotten stronger as well before the time skipped play baby Gohan.
After all it has been 7 years when Goku first met chichi when Goku fought Piccolo Junior.
The way I wish chi chi was a co protag alongside goku so she could be even more awesome and make it less of a boys club lol
I think saiyans dont get crazy potential because of zenkais they dont grow through strength training as much as they do getting hurt but we as humans irl get stronger faster faster through intense strength training
