I just got back from visiting my family in Florida for Thanksgiving. We went to Sharkies just to watch the sunset on the beach and that was the only beaching I did haha. Too busy and cold
I am so happy you got a new cage but I’m not so sure if you took out the fluffy thing because that is extremely bad for hamsters and has killed hamsters also maybe add more bedding especially because it’s a Syrian hamster and those hamsters need a lot of height to bural threw
no they actually have a very correct setup! bin cages are actually better for the hamster because the metal cages are too small for the minimum requirement of 450 sq cm and the bars can lead to dental issues from bar chewing

Metal cages can also cause bumble foot. And if they have a lot to play and chew on the plastic won’t be an issue.
I think the plastic is better. I had a hamster climb his metal cage, fall, and break his back. ☹️
U can always get a proper hamster cage that has tunnels and things so it can play with.
