I gave my Barbie Fashionista 189 an articulated body from the Barbie Extra No.5, but I did an extreme leg swap with her. I swapped the left legs for the Cutie Reveal Panda leg to give her flat feet, and then I swapped her right leg for the prosthetic that came with the Fashionista, and it was a success.
Caution: Leg swapping is very extreme, so craft at your own risk.

It's been a long time since I was actually interested in a disney movie ... but Wish seems interesting! Even if Dahlia is a "sidekick" rather than hero, it's still nice to see someone with a cane or a crutch who's not "elderly" (signed someone who walks with a cane and have a few decades before they're elderly)
It's great that Daria has made a positive impression for you! I think it's really sweet that The Teens are also based on the 7 dwarves. It'll be fun to see different easter eggs, as a longtime Disney fan.
I was so excited to know that Ariana DeBose would be voicing this movie. Now seeing the dolls makes me even more interested.

It super cool to see a doll with a mobility aid! The wheelchair Barbies are great but it's cool to see other types of mobility aids!

Great idea with the leg swaps! Little tip for the mtm dolls, after letting them sit in hot water…lift the legs upward then out basically creating a V around the doll and just pull down. Much easier and doesn’t scratch the legs

I was literally just at a Disney outlet store today and saw all the new wish dolls in person and was thinking about if Froggy was going to buy them. I should have known!
They have such beautiful face molds, shame the printing is so pixelated and offset. Really hope that issue isn’t super common later on, I’d love to get some but not if they’ll look like that. Unless they like go on clearance or something

Wow, did they have quality control at that doll factory? I have feelings on that stuff too. Sheesh, they have the potential to look so neat but seem to be made so cheaply. What’s with all the print-on instead of making actual fabric clothing and painted faces. These are such neat looking characters, I wish they’d done better on the dolls. Dahlia’s hair is even uneven all over.

She came in purple yoga clothes. So I instantly put her in a dress & shoes for her first time. I wish I would of had these as a kid. So easy to dress. And the posing is so much fun with my mini brands. Thanks again for inspiring me to feel young again. I 💕 your channel. 💖🌊🏖️🐎👒👛💄👠 I'm still going to get movie Barbie after the holidays.

Love that you were risky enough to try leg swapping and made it easy for us to do (or not do). I have to say though, I miss the Queen of Hearts and the "Off with their heads" comment. Was there a reason for the change that I missed? Truly enjoy your channel and all of the things you explore for us. You make it easy to buy, or even not buy, things that we might be on the fence about and you have certainly increased my creativity level. The Dollar Tree sees me coming now for foam board and other doll-like items :)

Pretty dolls but crossing my fingers that BOTH the king and queen are evil and do not have a redemption arc. Miss those old school Disney villains and we have never had an evil villain couple.
I don't see that happening. Disney is/has been trending on working through trauma and I don't see them creating a movie where the villain is irredeemable again (but ya never know)

If the hip piece is small and the MTM legs do not fit, you can wrap kitchen plastic around it until the new legs fit

Nice to see if the legswap would work or not. What a bummer that the hipjoints wasn't the same size. One would think that 2 Barbie would at least have the same size on their joints.

Goodness, having only one arm be articulated is such a cheap move D: I agree with you on needing more articulation, I can't see how fun they could be if they can barely move. I'm also not a fan of printed on fabric details, I think it also looks cheap. I'd rather have a "real" dress with a simplified design.
That was a cool idea to switch out the legs, too bad it didn't work. Maybe wrapping rubber bands around the leg peg? I've seen that done for neck pegs at least. I'm glad you found a work around with switching the arms though.

Theres probably a wy to remove the painted swimsuit using a very low percent acetone nail polih remover nd a little sanding.
I think you can very carefully scrape off the paint on those glasses with a scalpel. Acetone might make them frosty.
I tried my nail 😅 I will try an X-Acto knife next

question: when putting the heads in hot water, how long do they stay? and does it damage the face paint?
The time differs with the doll.. some dolls take longer than others… I put it in the water then check after about 1 min to see if the doll’s head has softened until it is squishy… if not I put it back in the water and check again

You can probably remove the paint but you would have to sand down the outline 👍
