- The Get Strong Set from Crossrope arrived! In this video, I'm unboxing and giving my first impressions of the get strong strong set in comparison to the get lean set (which I love). I also give my review of the app after 15 workouts and the jump rope mat.
Jump rope or skipping rope is an incredible workout. After the first workout, I noticed a difference in using a weighted rope.

Excellent review!! I've been using both sets for about 3 years. I had the knuckle issue with the heavier ropes for a long time too. Lots of sore knuckles for a while. I don't know if it would help you, but with the heavier ropes, it helped me to grip kind of low middle in like a dumbbell grip (meaning thumb gripping instead of riding straight along the handle like you can do with the get lean set) and gloves helped me maintain grip when I got sweaty and tired. Excellent review!!! Those ropes are no joke but so much fun.

@@joannabull-wellnessandweig8545 I used to follow the app, but I mostly do my own thing. I followed the 30 day Beginner Challenge program from the Crossrope website when I first started and kind of drew inspiration from that. Between that and other UA-cam channels like Jump Rope Dudes, I've kind of figured out my own thing. Sometimes I follow along with another workout, but mostly I make up my own.
Do u know the weight of the handles of both the set? And btw the best crossrope review I've seen till now.

The handles for the get lean set are 185.5 grams and 295.5 grams for the get strong set. I weighed them on a kitchen scale.

Thank you so kich for ur info about this cross rope. I have plan to buy this but may i ask u something miss?? Is it possible to equip the lean handle for the weighted rope like lean handle for 1lb or 2 lb rope??
Yes the lean handles can be used with the get strong ropes. I do notice a difference between the handles the larger handles from the get strong set makes it easier to swing the 1lbs and 2lbs rope.
The 1/2 pound is my main rope. I use it almost daily. I bust out the 2lb about twice a week
That’s great! How long do you jump for? I found anymore than 3 times a week with the heavier ropes was too much. Not enough time for recovery. I did a 56min workout once it took 5 days to recover!
@@joannabull-wellnessandweig8545 My jump rope workouts last about 15 minutes. They tend to have high intense intervals.
They’re amazing ropes the 2lb will take a while to get used to but I’m 17 months in and I’m stringing double unders with that 2lb rope current PR of 25 and wait until you get that ultra heavy 5lb rope it makes the 2lb look like a joke lol
Amazing PR! I’m still not able to swing the 2lb fast enough. The 1lb I find harder b/c I can swing the rope fast-kills my forearms. Do you have the 5lb?
@@joannabull-wellnessandweig8545 I do and getting rotations with it makes me feel like a beginner lol
When you’ve gotten better with the 1/4lb and 1/2 I think the speed LE set would be another good one for you (3oz, 6oz and 9oz)
@@dwariandegraffe6344 why do you recommend those ones? I'm comfortable with the 1/4lb and 1/2lb unless it's a workout that starts with 5 mins of skipping!
@@joannabull-wellnessandweig8545 to be honest it’s a really good set and you might like them but you just got that set I’m not saying to get it immediately I only have all the sets from Crossrope cause I wanted a feel for each rope but that set I underestimated it like honestly that was the last set I got along with 4 & 5lb ropes to finish the collection but get used to the 1/4 & 1/2lb ropes then when you get the set you’ll understand
the 4lb and 5lb set is where its at :)

@@joannabull-wellnessandweig8545 Well i was doing a 40min workout 5 days a week through the app that included the 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2lb ropes and wanted something more challenging. So i bought the 4&5lb ropes and and now i use th 1, 2, 4, 5lb for the 40 min workout now
