      sifirid mate she’s a great bike but was traded late last year for the 2019 model, some say a silly thing to do as the 2015 was an awesome model, have to agree in part that’s why I’m rebuilding the new girl so have a look at my most recent
      Vlogs 😁👍

      Concerning your questions about throwing a Can-Bus error, I used the HEX ezCan which bypasses the OEM LED's & CanBus and runs the Clearwater LED's through this system. All I did was tape off the connection leads (as I did not cut or remove them) and it worked perfectly. Web address for HEX is as follows: www.hexezcan.com/, best of luck and let me know how it goes... :)

      As long as you plan the install and I asked a heap of questions and also did a dry run the night before, it's basically went to plan besides some short wiring 👍

    Hey RM K glad to hear you're feeling much better. I was wondering how on earth did you find those lights? There are so many to pick from on the good old interweb, I'm looking for some good aux lights for my Versys and these look amazing and was I right in thinking they are two stage brightness? Ride safe and keep these fantastic videos coming, Its' great to see how things are done down under.

      Thanks Chris glad you liked the vlog. Yes finally getting on top of all my heath issue and even thinking of getting on the bike tomorrow - Shhhh don't let the wife know - hehe. I spent about two weeks trolling the web and finally decided on the Clearwater as they have a ten (10) stage brightness adjustment via the "Wonderwheel" and not a separate module. Most importantly, I decided on these LED's as I saw another rider using them and was totally blown away when he was about a kilometre away from me and I could see him clearly. Jump onto the web site as they have some great products. Yes, you also ride safe and more vlogs to come from "Down Under".... :)

      Thanks mate, yes gotta have the vape as the cigs are gonna kill me...!!!

    • @e.simons6964
      @e.simons6964 7 років тому

      Did you know "Vapping" has even more carcinogens than regular cigs?

    • @RMK67
      @RMK67  7 років тому +1

      Sounds like a tobacco con job, cigarette have over 200 lethal carcinogens including formaldehyde (embalming fluid), nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic, and DDT to name only a few of the 4,000 chemicals found. Recent studies conducted in the UK by independent researchers found no elements or trace elements of these chemicals found in vape fluid that was regulated by the UK Government. Recently the US FDA regulated that all vape suppliers must have FDA approval (like the large tobacco companies) to produce and sell vap fluids in the US thereby killing almost 95% of the industry overnight and allowing the big tobacco companies to take a stranglehold over this industry and dictate their terms and interests including the chemicals they may use to produce vap fluids - moral to the story, don't believe everything on social media as its governed by the ones who want to sell you the most addictive "legal" drug and keep the massive profits on their own products that kill...!!!

      Huh! I read the completely opposed view recently. But I don't care about either anyway, I don't care for smoking either so I maybe bias.

    Useful video. Can I ask why you changed the stock for non stick? Were they not LED already in your bike?

    • @RMK67
      @RMK67  8 років тому

      Yes mate, the stocks just didn't have the brightness and the ability to change the level of beam (10 settings) that I was looking for in the LED's and I saw another rider using them and was totally blown away when he was about a kilometre away from me and I could see him clearly so the decision was an easy one to make.

      +RM K as long as you keep hold of them so you got them when you sell it on if someone asks for them. I notice that I can change the angle of the ones on the RT.

      +gadgetsandwheels yes mine were the same and good idea to keep the OEM's but selling the K16, Nahhh she's coming to Wales with me 🤗

    Why not connect it to existing wiring from OEM old light

    • @RMK67
      @RMK67  8 років тому +1

      Its due to the CanBus system not identifying the new LED's, so Clearwater developed a relay system which plugs into the module of the BMW so there's no "CanBus Errors" and operates the lights independently of the OEM wiring, and to date it's worked perfectly - thanks for your comment and ride safe.... :)

    Hi I have a 2012 K 1600 GT I have a question I buy the running lights just like you remove from your own bike and I asked Bmw they told me your bike it's a pre-wired in and I buy the driving light switch can you help me can you help me how can I connect let driving light switch to turn on the running lights thank you very much

    • @RMK67
      @RMK67  7 років тому +1

      panajot vata hi and thanks for the question - unfortunately as you bike lacks the wiring for the running lights and the suppliers of your new LED running lights will provide a switch, which is mounted to the handlebar, you are not able to wire directly into the CanBus system as seen in my vlog. You must wire up totally independently of the current wiring harness to get your running lights working 🤔😎👍, ride safe

      Thank you very much do you know where is the connection thank you again👌👍

      If your looking for the CanBus (typically found under the passenger's seat) and want to connect your LED's, may I suggest a proper chat with your local BMW Motorrad dealer before attempting a install - safe riding

    Nice job - except I would have liked to see the final wiring. I have a K1300GT and will be installing LEDs on the front fender sides in the next couple of weeks. (battery not as accessible as yours mind you-under the gas tank) I plan on just running a separate switch and wire to the battery direct as the K1300 does not come stock with led fog lights. Could you not have done the same to keep both sets of lights? or would this be a problem with the computer knowing the additional 15w (or whatever) draw.?

    • @RMK67
      @RMK67  7 років тому +1

      davcon08 I was going to show except it was difficult to video due to the instrumentation being in the way and the OEM's are pretty ordinary, actually there shit so when I investigated the Clearwater LED's, they mount to the subframe of the OEM's and eventually plug into the CanBus system under the seat and can be adjusted via the wonder wheel. As for the K13 as I don't know the CanBus (I have owned both the K12 & K13 - great bikes) it may be worth while taking to your LED supplier for details on the installation process and wiring diagram. I spent a week watching vlogs and doing "ghost" installs on the floor before attempting the install on the bike itself as I just wanted to be 100% sure the way I wired was correct and without error 👍

  • @davebeck925
    @davebeck925 7 років тому

    Does anybody know what the difference in lumen output is between the Darla's and the OEM fog lights? I installed mine after watching your video, which was very helpful, but routed the wiring on the right hand side and made the connections underneath the top middle tupperware panel covering the gas tank. These take some time to install, but if you're somewhat handy, it is do-able. Thanks for doing the video!

    • @RMK67
      @RMK67  7 років тому

      Dave Beck unfortunately I don't know what is the difference but I can confirm however that since installing the Clearwater LED's all my riding mates are complaining the intensity is 200% greater than the standard OEM's which I think speaks volumes for being seen - glad you liked the vlog and ride safe 🤔😎👍

    Why is the "Canopener" involved? I understood it is used for the additional rear lights set up....

    • @RMK67
      @RMK67  8 років тому +1

      Yes you right it does but on the K1600 it plugs into the BMW Module which allows you to set up the lights via the "Wonderwheel" and change setting for three different lighting modes....
