Man, ' Messiah' is great but anyone who thinks all of Handel's great work are in that and a few of the other oratorios really needs to start digging through his operas. Beautiful, heart-rending music filled with the sort of psychological depth associated with Mozart - of course there's some dead wood in them but that's true of almost anyone's work. Mostly this is just fabulous discovery after another.
