My Truck breaks down | it’s a Long day

- I filmed what should have been a normal straightforward day in the life of a bulker truck driver but it goes horribly wrong and I break down putting me well behind where I should be
Love how Bruce the mechanic diagnosed the problem over the phone, sounds like he's seen that happen a few times before.
Yay it's good to see a trucking vlog again. Your day started well but the little breakdown was certainly unexpected. It's awesome Bruce could immediately identify the problem and the Scania mechanic could fix it easily. And relatively quickly too, I guess three hours was acceptable. Looks like winter has arrived to the UK too. Hopefully the bad weather won't affect your days too much. Sensational vlog Jemma 💎, it's so great we can follow your adventures every Saturday. 🌞🚛🥰
Hi Jemma, I do enjoy your videos, they are so very watchable. I love your positive optimistic approach to each day.
Another great video Jemmy so calm and organised no panic but the job gets done you are a professional with a capital P., thank you.
I love the way you sort do a narrative of all your journeys it really makes me feel like I am doing the journey with you (hopefully that doesn't sound to weird 😮) .I really do enjoy your channel 😊 keep trucking your doing a great job 👍 all the best from Liverpool 🎉
Actually you make a good point, knowing the roads and route is rather more interesting than just footage of an anonymous motorway or country road.
It's obvious your comment was said for the right reasons 👍
Mind you as a farmer I did once get a lift in a truck coming to the farm to pick up grain, he saw me walking from the harvest field to the farm yard after dropping a tractor and trailer of for the combine.
The ride was amazingly comfortable and you get a great view being so high up 😁
@rf6080 Not stuck on a side window like Garfield.
That would be weird 🙂
Bruce is worth his weight in gold!. All he heard was "Air" and boom.
And as you said "this is where I don't film", every guy said "damn it"..😂 jk jk..love ya Jemma.
Ah yes, the joys of trucking lol. Being retired now, your channel brings back mixed memories lol. You and Ryan have a great weekend.
Thanks for sharing Jemz 💎
Hello Jemma from the sunshine state Florida USA I drove for Pilot Flying J as a Fuel tank driver, in New England and delt with the same stuff in this video , I applaud you for the motivation of trying to fix your own truck. Enjoy your vlogs immensely please keep sharing your life with us.
Freezing & dusty, but it could've been worse, I guess. Good diagnostics from Bruce - I bet drivers learn a lot from him. Thanks for sharing 😊
The reality of driving a truck is they do break down which can be a real pain, luckily you had good service getting the repair done.
Hi Jemma, great stuff again. I had that problem one morning, about 5.30 , 6 , in minus figures, so cold you struggled to hold the spanner long enough to do anything 😂
Im pretty sure the farm you collected from for the Exeter load, has a lad called Andy working there who is also a UA-camr .
HimGemm always busy busy busy , working so well to time with attention to detail , as always another enjoyable video , have a great safe weekend at home with family xxx😊
Gemma it’s Martin can I have your number
So a bad hair and bad air day,🤣🤣 sorry couldn't resist. As you say why does it always happen on cold days.🥶🥶 Thanks once again for a really interesting, although frustrating for you, video. At least at the end of the day you had a shower, something to eat, the caramel tree looked nice, and a nice cuppa tea.😂😂 Onwards and upwards tomorrow is another day.
Well worth watching - thank you! I could never do your job 😊
Hi Jemma, nice to see you back at work following the carnival fun. As usual, you coped with the problems coming your way. Always nice to see your facial expressions and your hair is looking great. Stay safe and warm.
Jemma quite simply thanks for another brilliant vid 👍👌Malc 🇬🇧
All your video's are excellent and very informative, safe driving and keep safe❤❤
My word being a truck driver is super complicated and stressful! Respect to you and your colleagues!
I really like your truck, the driving position looks more car like than 44 ton.
Love ur trucking blogs over ur carnival ones thanks jemma
Great video Jemma nice to see you back on the road
Another great video, you are always happy and smiley and I love that. Keep on Trucking
Don’t watch many of your videos but when I do I really enjoy watching them 😊 You’re such a lovely lady 🤩 Take care on your travels Stevie xx
Hiya Jemma.. Yet again another super duper video..
Safe driving Jemma and your hair as always looks good so don’t worry..
Bruce certainly knows his job..
Stay safe..
Bruce knows his scianias. The second pic up his a UA-camr as well, Andy and Eric his cocka spaniel I recognised the buildings
Hi Jemma Another fantastic video a few tight turns at the first farm brilliant manoeuvring I am sure some trucks may have got damaged by the pipe that was hanging down! All the best Crawford
Ah Bridport.i am a milkman there. I do keep my eyes open in case I see you. Relatively new subscriber, so catching up on old videos.
Just subscribed. Really enjoying your videos, informative & quite relaxing to watch 👍
Hi Jemma
Another great video, your company mechanic Bruce knows his Scania trucks to work out the fault over the phone . Saving you having to get to cold . How nice it was of the other lorry driver stopping to see you are ok it is great how you truckers help each others.
keep warm and safe
Yet another great insight to your day. Total respect from an old trucker. 15 hours days are a long slog. The general public have no idea how many hours lorry drivers do on a regular basis. Yet we are frowned upon. Thanks Jemma. Always watch your content. You are an ambassador for women truckers. Keep up the good work. I don’t drive on the motorway much these days. But keep an eye out for my little blue Tanker. All the best.
Brad ❤
Thank you for your comment. Have a great Christmas. Take care 🤶
Jemma’Okey Dokey’ Warren, nice to have you back on the road. Thanks for taking the time to film and edit these vlogs, must take a while. When I think I’ve had a hard day I watch one of your videos and shut up moaning !😂 It’s amazing to watch how you guys and girls travel up and down the length of the country grafting to earn a pound note. Oh and if you haven’t said Okey Dokey at least once in the vlog it’s not the same😂. Keep smiling 🙂
They seem very long and lonely days. I drive a lot as well but I always get home at night. I often wonder about all those out there asleep alone in their lorries. I know your days are quite varied but it's still a lot of time on your own.
Thanks for the videos jem Ended up deciding to finally take the plung and apply for a few places for trainee hgv driver. !
Well done, and good luck with your driving. Take care
Hi , watching your recent vid, the second load of barley, the site looked familiar to me, then I realised the lad that works there was a “you tuber” It’s a farming life for me, but I haven’t seen anything from him for a while. Many years past I worked at Harpers feeds, hence my interest in what you do for a living, A T B Clifford
Nice video Jemma and very skilful driving in those tight farmyards. Have a nice weekend.
hi Jemma would just like to say thank you your videos have made me finally get my class 1 done
Well done , hope you enjoy your travels. Happy Christmas and take care
Good afternoon Jemma another great video glad everything is all ok now with the truck ❤
Scania recovery seems very good. Great VLOG as usual thanks.
You were lucky Jemma as this week with all the rain the turning into the Piddle valley at Dorchester was blocked with flooding and a stranded transit van!
when you are in a place as in this video you could always give some shout outs to your followers :)
I would love you to do a video on how drivers in the UK are compensated. In the US generally they are paid by the mile. Cheers and love your videos.
During you Norway visit you tried what's mean winter. This is nothink. Ladt a few weeks we had quite difficult drying, very often 8-12" of snow on route. Fully snow chains, front axle, bought rear axles, one front on trailer and middle last axle on trailer. Yesterday i finally reached destination to unload palets and there was very well clen yard, just pitch of snow. Luckily they ket me go in with chains.
always make sure you have enough diesel for night heater but not enough for the diesel fairies
Your boss knew the issue straight away. Experienced person, just be a common issue
Great video Jemma, pleased your truck wasn't too big a fix🔧
Awesome video Jemma as usual. Glad it wasnt too serious with the valve.
Thanks for coming back on and making another video. Hope you and your husband are having a blessed weekend.
Loved the video Jemma l really enjoyed your carnival videos glad your breakdown wasn't to hard to fix have a great weekend 😂😂
12:20 that's 100% correct, i grow grain and it depends on the price when you sell it and who you sell it to. Brilliant videos you make showing what its like driving a truck
Thanks Jemma for a great video,I like the driving parts.Since I started watching your videos I've been wondering how your camera works,it moves with the truck.I would just like to say thanks for a great year of videos and wish you a happy Christmas and best wishes for next year.
🏆⭐💎🤸♥️👍
My wife is turning into a big fan, but she wonders how you manage to drink all that tea and deal with the consequences?!
Hi Jemm its Brian from York yus watching your video on loading crates of apples
What's nice for me im watching it on my tv instead of my phone as a 82 year old pensioner i appreciate just how hard your job is and how much you enjoy it
you do a great job driving a trucks well done 😀😀
Your second pick up was a UA-camr it’s at farming life for me
The farm at Thatcham looks identical to the farm Andy, who's channel called 'It's a farming life for me' does his videos from.
I thought the same I am nearly 100% it is you can see his tractor parked up behind and the barn they renovated
Well done Bruce
The farmer at Thatcham is another You Tuber, It’s a farming life for me!!
You love your tea, have a great festive season
It looks like the farm near Thatcham is worked on by another UA-camr, ‘it’s a farming life for me’.
The holes they've cut in the side by the tip is bloody daft, why cut a window when they could have made it a door! So darn tight to get in there!
ANOTHER AMAZING VIDEO MACHINES AND PEOPLE ALL BREAK DOWN SOMETIMES THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Another great vlog jem I loved it as always girl you do a very good job jem ❤❤
Great vlog Jemma. Thank you.
Second farm is a UA-camr farmer that goes by the name it's a farming life for me
Hi Jemma great vid handled the breakdown very well
Love your trucking videos jemma amazing 🎉
As I can’t drive anymore for health reasons I really enjoy your travels to places I will never get to keep up the good work
Another great vlog Jemma keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻
Over the years l have been saved by various 'miracle workers', home and far abroad, they have always been underpaid but being a fitter is not a job, it's a vocation.
I am 85 Gemma but love you .liked the carnival keeps me going .I am going to a hotel in can’t remember but crapping myself trying to find hotel .don’t get any older it’s shit x
Ha ha ha 😅love it I'm 70 and think I'm catching you up . I think I need to sleep more 😅😅 take care
I Jemma, nice to see a real woman ,doing a good job.Went on a coach years ago and the driver was a woman, some men would not get on as it was a woman driver, she was better than most men .Also more polite.
Excellent 👍👍👍
I'm glad your back really missed you
Jamma great video you would have fixed the truck your self if could have I no not just a driver good to see you at work. All so enjoyed the carnival your a busy lady 🤙🤙🤙
Awesome video jemma 😊❤
@JemmaWarren8396. always
You do amaze me Jemma. I keep watching your videos and I'm proud of what you do for work ❤
Hello Jemma I’ve just found you. I was a driver close to 25 years I’m Minnesota. Amazing the differences in our perspective experience and how much we also are alike.
Except the roads... how crazy are the roads in England. Just plain nuts.
Another great video Jemma very enjoyable and great commentary as always 👍 just wondering why have you stuck that piece of metal in your nose looks terrible
Interesting vid again. Thanks for posting & Good Luck.
Fascinating, well done Jemma
As always your video's are excellent and very informative, keep safe safe dr👍
Oooooooh that barleeeeeee, it gets everywhere.
Great video Jemma
Thanks for a great video.
You know it’s cold when Jemma hasn’t got shorts on! I saw a lovely grey MAN tractor unit pulling one of your firm’s trailers heading north up the A34
These take back my stepfather used to drive artics a long time ago went with him a few times, but lorry sticks in the late 1970’s caused a lot problems for the industry
I’m a tanker driver in Southampton been looking for you for ages must of missed you this time 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is part of life as truck driver sometimes. So it does not go as we wish for our trade as a truck driver. But there is things in life more important than a truck brake down. So as you probably know in a life span those break down his nothing to someone who has a type of any cancer. Your truck is repairable and think positive.
Ayy up Jemma, great vlog stay safe see you next time
Thanks Jem another good video nice to see round Southampton used to go there a lot on the last job and reminds me what i,m missing hav,nt driven a truck for nearly two years now as officially retired but now all the work is done on the house its getting tempting again. There,s a couple of firms down the road from me might just see if i can get some local work.
Don't blame you. I know I mist my job when I retired. I would have liked to retire when I started work at fifteenth, but when the time did eventually come, it was a big decision. I did enjoy most of my working life ,and its the people you meet along the way. Take care, and happy Christmas from the Warren's
Hello jemma you never forget your cup of tea
Enjoyed the video Jemma...Have a fab weekend....Go Girl..x
Nice to see you put your hard hat on inside the shed. HSE over kill I think 🤔.
Thanks for sharing. I was amazed how calm you were with the brakedown
Breakdown even
Could be autocorrect on some phones, mine is forever putting if instead when I mean of.
Breakdowns happen it comes with the job and she was in a nice safe spot so that was great 👍
@@scots_knight4706I doubt it would correct incorrectly
Great video mate 👍🇦🇺
That’s a tough and frustrating lifestyle ! I don’t envy you
Great vid. Hope they are paying you enough for the work you do.👍
Hi jemma nice to see you back on the road stay safe in winter have nice Christmas and happy new year happy trucking❤
Oh, those country lanes are super tight.😬 why do you not park up with a full fuel tank? What a frustrating day but at least it’s only one day. Great vlog as always Jemma! Keep safe and warm. 💪🏴👍
Probably fear of diesel theft I'm certain.
I'm sure Wains transport has told her not to confront anyone for her personal safety.
Yes, you are so right. Take care and have a good Christmas
It's not theft, the tanks would be locked, it's to do with very cold and even the freezing temperature that can have on diesel fuels, making them non functional under these conditions, called gelling. A smaller volume of diesel fuel in the tank would presumably warm up quicker than a full tank...
Oh, thanks for that, dave. I didn't know, and the comment may help others. Take care happy Christmas
Great videos🎉
It’s good to show that you just jump in a truck and everything is great. You do have breakdowns, things do go wrong. Love to watch your videos. No drama’s. Something goes wrong, you’re so cool and it gets sorted. Where’s your makeup like the last few video’s. Ha ha ❤😅
