They have this option on every single slot machine here in Australia. I’m fairly certain that the result is predetermined, like almost all things on a slot when you press a button. It doesn’t really matter what you press it will either give you a win or a loss based on the RNG and pay/take % i.e. it’s not 50/50 red or black. You lost way more times that what 50/50 should really allow

In Australia we also have the "half gamble" option on them, if you hit the gamble button twice it means you're only gambling half your win. Also our maximum gamble win is 10K.
