After the update are you no longer able to disarm the system through the app? Does this mean that when you have the display docked to charge that your suit is going to be sitting there armed? I've been wanting A* to come out with a separate charging dock for the display ever since I got my TA 10.
After update, not sure if you can still disarm thru app, but I disarm by redocking the fob. When it is docked, it might be armed, but you don't have to worry since the airbag won't pop under 37mph. So, probably don't charge it while driving in your truck on a bumpy road lol.
HI. congratulations for the video. But after I have turned off the system can I leave the LED display in its place (in its seat)? or do I necessarily have to hook it outside the seat, on the Velcro? p.s. I also made two videos on the tech 10 on my channel
cool channel! I've heard of the earlier version software problems and failure to inflate issues. Have these been sorted out yet? have you seen any instances of it not inflating? thanks!
I bought one with an updated firmware, but when I put the display on its place it only show battery life of small unit, then it does not turn on. Is it dead or defective? Also when charging, nothing lights up of the leds, the display is on its place again.
Would this be comfortable to wear on a cruiser and upright ADV/ST bikes? I got a harley and gonna get a kawi versys650, I want this airbag but I dunno if it'll be fine sitting on a touring/harley bike. I have the techair5 atm, but I want the hip inflation bladders.
Did someone struggle to update WLED firmware? Mine keeps showing an ERROR 12 while udpating. Airbag system update has been fine, but no way I can’t do it on the WLED device. Gives 0 confidence whether the full system is going to work or not…
@@tsauleda I had charging problems and they replaced my entire tech air 10. Once I received a new one I had to update the application on my phone, and then try to update the LED 3 times.
@@lucaiorio69 They replaced mine as well after bought it, because it was not connecting. I actually spoke now with Astars customer service, and they said some iphones have issues when updating. They recommend to remove the app from my phone and install it again. Anyway, seems it's doing same thing than in the video, so I wonder if update has been done or not. What's clear is that it has many bugs.
When it's activated is it just a steady green light? Or is the Amber on as well? This system has been a pain since I've owned it. Should have just went with the Tech air race.

After turning it off, I remove it and hook it outside just so it doesn't turn on by accident and drain the battery.
I saw reviews about this airbag suit is too hot and battery drain issue. Thoughts?

Thank you.
I have only crashed in it once and it inflated just fine. I like the new firmware, seems to work better for me.

No it wouldn't be imo. This is a full undersuit. It will get hot when street riding.
Can you actually go for a piss with this on, or you need to take all cloth of?
There's a cut out in the suit lol
Updated mine last night 👍
Still seems buggy to me. Mine does the same. This whole design needs a complete re-engineer.

I have the same issue. Could you lmk if you figure out what causes the problem and how to get rid of it?
I had the same issue. I got it solved with the update via PC. Software can be downloaded via Alpinestars. I received mine from my dealer.

@@AmosSpurgeon Thanks for your comment! You made my day 🙂Update didn´t work with my iPhone 13, but with my Android tablet it did!
Thanks for this video!
this new method is terrible! But at least it works, unlike before.
this whole system was a failure. I returned mine. I'm have no confidence in the 10
Alpinestars should have used the TA5 arming system, the velcro system sucks.
Yea, I've updated mine.. .and still doesn't work properly... this whole system is dogs ass... this airbag is rubbish
The Docking system is dreadful! And does not inspire confidence!
still a POS, biggest failure of alpinestars
everyone i know with the TA10 has had multiple catastrophic failures with it
When you say multiple catastrophic failures, what do you mean?
