Lol the number of people I've interviewed where I ask something directly that they have written and they have no idea what I'm talking about is truly amazing.
You pointed out some serious mistakes I've made on my resume. Every time I watch your video I learn something of value. Btw, are you Canadian? I know you live in US. You sound Canadian when you pronounce certain words. Thank you.
@@CodingJesus Hello Coding Jesus! I am a Math/CS graduate and a Data Science/Machine Learning MSc student about to begin my thesis. Over the past 3-4 months, I have developed a strong interest in Quantitative Finance and would like to focus my thesis on this area. Although I lack professional and academic experience in Quant Finance, I am eager to explore it further. Could you please suggest a few topics for my thesis? I don't know wich of the options I can follow (Sentiment analysis of financial news, AI-Driven portfolio optimization, etc.) as I am not very aware of the market last trends

you can try deep reinforcement learning in trading algorithm. There is a good paper, search for "An application of deep reinforcement learning to algorithmic trading" by Thibaut Th´eate and Damien Ernst.
iam trying to understand how an optics engineer can move the upper ladder to quantitative space, where example showcasing ones skills like understanding of DSP algorithms and how to optimize them to achieve either high accuracy or for low latency , basically keeping track of ones record or research space , its might seem intuitive as to how its connects to quant however theirs a connection
got recommended your videos and then I've been bingewatching them for a bit, really cool stuff. Wish I saw them years ago when I was still in school. Anyways, my very honest question is: I got a finance degree from a semi target school and have been working for a little more than 3 years in Compliance ever since graduation, do you think Quant is just forever closed for me or if I try there is still a chance?
I would not waste my time putting on a dog and pony show for "the firm" Why look for a job in quant trading if you know how to make money from the financial market ?
Dude this is some serious value, one of the best resume help videos I have ever seen UA-cam for this industry
Hiring managers love when you lie to them

This is great, can you do a similar video but discussing cover letters?
You don’t need one.
@@CodingJesus 99% of companies in my country have it as required on the application, so any insights?
Can you make a video for self-taught quantitative developers?

Why not simply provide an example hypothetical resume with the wording you're looking for etc ?
