The reason why people jump back to spawn instead of just dying is because of your special gauge
And better than waiting 5 seconds to spawn back in the first place 😂
Yeah, what Mania said, it's better to jump too because it's faster. And also it feels cool.

The player in the clip seemed to have lots of super jump speed (which makes sense, since his dapple dualies come with beakons as the sub weapon)
Also, you avoid respawn punisher

1:40 Jumping back to base saves seconds of time where if you die it’ll take longer. Dying and waiting to respawn could possibly turn the tide of the game rather than jumping back to base. A few seconds is key to some games.

ItsUwUki daycore'shitpost umm... In a regular turf war I experienced the same thing (but I was opposing the one player with other three players), its unlucky if its Splatfest

I had a great time on a rank clams once.
Kelp dome. Intro plays, all inklings pop up, 2 seconds in and a connection error. But wait theres more. After thinking the match was done I found that I could move again so i rushed over to the enemy spawn and found 2 of them standing on their spawn. All other players disconnected. After 20 seconds they started moving and were shocked to find me alone outside their spawn. We started to squid party in the centre and after one of them splatted me and scored in my goal I returned the favour to them.
I can say that I literatly, single handedly won in A rank clams. Who even needs teammates?

7:14 as a squiffer main myself, I ask you guys not to do this. It kinda ruins the game for us a little
that's my clip and all i can say is git gud because I've had other squiffies splat me while i run in circles, open up a pb and practice with other brushes
Im a splattershot main and I LOVE killing brushes that think they can dodge my shots. But yeah, I get why playing a sniper makes it way harder
