best video I've seen on stereo imaging for a complete arrangement. I think most people understand mono/stereo and panning, but never use an imager to see exactly what producers like Nami etc are doing with their mix and how they are making rich sounding samples even though most of the sounds aren't actually wide.
A really great video, i always asked myself how you get your instruments in their right place. Panning and narrow the stereofield is a good starting Point. Thanks for talking about this. There are so many videos out on youtube, but nearly no one is talking about this. Great Content :)
This is really sweet I appreciate you making this. One takeaway for me is varying the density of a reverb used on a sound to change the perceived distance of the sound. I’m definitely gonna play around with these concepts keep up the dope content!
yo this is fire asf thanks bro, what drums did you use for this??? sounding realistic asf, how you get that realistic sound like that other than messing with velocities?
nahhh you is tooooo sauced up, industry finna be mad 🔥 I heard bad things about the s1in regards to phasing but it seems to be good if you're not using it for widening but instead for placing things in a very specific spot
All these vst instruments we use now are wayyyy too stereo. Layer too many of them, and you end up with a washed out mess. Using things like S1 here make a huge difference in mix focus and impact. Key tips not many mention, good work mate.
💎🔥🔥 I swear this is literally this missing piece of info I’ve been needing for my mixes. I do not have S1 stereo imager is it possible to get this done with ozone imager?
Let me know what you guys think!
Great edit
🔥🔥 you killed it
I love everythin' you craft!

Damn that’s a clean mix. I’m going to start using a stereo imager. This is helpful.

Sounds like addictive drums on this. Which kit did you use if so? I can never get good rim shots out of the kits I have for it

For sure thank you
🗣Brother Hix
👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
really dope, you put the reverb befor or after the imager?
Before the imager 👊🏻
At this part 1:15 - is it better to keep the majority of the drum layers in mono?
Just all depends on how you want the drums to sit in the mix, i wanted them to sit in the middle of the stereo field
very good broo
Thank you so much
💎🔥🔥 I swear this is literally this missing piece of info I’ve been needing for my mixes. I do not have S1 stereo imager is it possible to get this done with ozone imager?
Can export as mono then pan i think thar works too
can you release this as a song? i love it
Maybe one day hahaha
Why do you change all the stereo sounds to mono?
Keeps them a different place in the mix and overall different feel
2:13
bare gems
ty bro
Am I understand it well , You could not only increase but also reduce the space of melody using reverb ?
Correct
@@prodbyhix thats valuable info, thanks a lot 😁🙏
maybe a rnb one next??
Thats defo in my mind
Awesome video! However the sound of your screen recorder captured the sound in mono and not stereo, so everything you showed didn’t translate
Good point
