'ANTICULT' highlights just how vital Decapitated have remained two decades deep into their career. Decapitated have long been undeniable masters of their craft and they are expanding their parameters with Anticult, which should elevate the band's profile beyond the death metal realm in which it has dominated for years.
"Anticult represents the legacy and future of Decapitated," said guitarist Vogg. "We're extremely proud of the record, in both the song compositions and the production. This is the best representation of our music and we're really excited for the world to hear it!"
The album's massive musical leap forward is evidenced by "Never." It's a song with an incredible bite and retains Decapitated's signature fury. But it's also undeniably catchy and takes up residence in your brain and stays there.
"'Never,' the first track we are showcasing from the record, is fast, it's technical, and most importantly, it's heavy," Vogg commented. "For us, it's what Decapitated is all about… and it will be really fun to play live. Enjoy it!"
Vocalist Rasta weighed in about the subject matter of "Never," offering this insight into the lyrical content: "There is no mystical, doomish fate waiting for us. The only judgment pending is our own. The simple relationship between cause and effect is what determines our future. We are now witnessing something that should never have happened - our homes have become our civilization's grave."

Killer riffs and rhythms!
Really like this,sounds amazing!
Decapitated's recent releases scratches an itch that few other bands/albums can reach. There's something about the fast, bouncy rhythms and buzz-saw guitar tones that hits just right for me. Production on this album seems absolutely fantastic aswell. Love that I can clearly hear the mid frequencies of the bass guitar in the mix.
This is what I love about Decapitated, their sound and power get better and better with each album. Great band.
The fact that they came back so strong after cheating death is good enough for me. They still fucking rule. REALLY fucking good live too.
The amount of people butthurt over how a band should sound according to them is fucking astounding. Artists should play exactly what they feel like. As a listener, you can go along if you enjoy it, or look for something else that suits you better. And stop fucking whining, they don't owe you anything.
I like that it doesn't sound like old Decapitated, even though I prefer the older material. You can't really expect it to be like old Decapitated without Vitek on the kit anyway.
One of the few death metal bands still worth listening to.

They played Mother War, Day 69 and Post Organic when I saw them tour with At The Gates.
every this band has created is unique, love every fucking album, maybe they should do more variated playlist in their tours, but the music they actually make is for me the best they have created, every album for me they get better
I'd would prefer Decapitated sounded like they did but it is their music and it is a choice to listen to them.! I still do and will always listen to them & accept that this is the direction they want to take their music!!!

That riff at 2:55 tho... have high hopes for this one. Vogg's got a killer tone man, that guitars got some fucking balls to it. Did blood mantra kind of suck? Yes. Do I kind of hate rasta's vocals? Not a huge fan. But I'll always enjoy listening to Vogg's playing.

Dollars to donuts you are saying what a lot of people are thinking. To me, Vogg essentially carries the band at this point (though Krimh did help a lot on the last album).

Gotta say, I wasn't very impressed at first, but at around 2/3 through the song it all started making sense and by the time it ended, I was in love. Good job, Decapitated, you still haven't let me down.
They always tend to have new ideas/tones in each album that has been released which makes this band hard to get bored listening to. I might as well state the obvious that the riffs always deliver. I'm looking forward to buy their new album! Cheerios

No, but when someone says they got raped it's always my first instinct to believe them. It would be the same if a man got raped by a woman.
That's preposterous, you shouldn't believe anyone's allegations until they've been proven to be true. Doesn't mean you can't investigate. Anyone can make up anything, especially with the United States legal system which disproportionately sides with women because of muh victimhood.
That's ridiculous. Lying about rape is a sociopathic thing to do, and I should hope that a majority of humans are not sociopaths. If your friend told you they got raped, wouldn't you believe them? And what makes you think that they didn't do it? There is no evidence that proves they didn't. And the last thing you said is not even true. In fact they often side with men who rape or abuse women usually because they are "important". And what about women who actually have been raped? Is it your first instinct to deny that EVERY woman has been raped if they say they did?

There is no evidence at this point to support what this woman has claimed other than she was reported to have hung out with the band at some point. For the allegations to be true, it would mean that (4) individuals would have to be complete violent sociopaths to do what they've done, as opposed to one person being derranged and making false accusations for personal gain. The members of the band have no criminal history in the US or Poland, and Vogg even has a wife and kid.

The drummer is good, I've seen them live last year and he did well on thier old blast beat filled stuff. I think he plays more simple now because that is the way they want him to do.

well new decapitated albums are not easy to digest for the old fans. Although I think Vitek was extremely creative this guy is also a machine. So as Krimh (one of my favorites)... the thing is that the music is not very complicated so the drummer is just doing his job. If the structure of the song would be more complex the drums would be too

I agree with Todd. For me this is their best album yet. I actually quite enjoyed your band. I felt like I was back in 1990, or 1991. Even your recording sounded like it. Your guitar player needs to practice hammer ons, and sweeps badly. And I'm from the Bay Area thrash neck of the woods, and grew up with speed metal, and thrash. Are you guys using old equipment?
