I really want this Scanner as all agencies are switching to digital radio communications and my analog scanners won’t pick up those frequencies I just can’t bring myself to pay upwards of $425-$475 for it the most I ever paid for a scanner was $249 my Pro-164 from Radio Shack still using it to this day very reliable unit.
Nice Quick review. I am still learning the TRX-1. Thank you for keeping the "beeps" relatively low. Suggestion, next video turn off the beeps. All the best to you.
Great vid, heres a dum question , my local park had 7 frequecies. Because i am not computer savy I entered them manually all on seperate scanlist. Can I enter all seven on on one scanlist and call it local park?
How do you get the stations in there to begin with? Do you just add your zip code/area code, etc? Programming the scanner for me is the most confusing.
@Pauline Morgan The TRX-1 has a zipcode scanning feature which allows you to scan the immediate area, you can also use programming software to pick an choose which channels you want to listen to and create a favorites list.
This scanner like all trunking scanners are complex, unless you are a computer guy. If u put it a zip code u will wind up that taxi service, school busses ect
I've currently got a BCD 436 HP . Whistler TRX 1 Uniden SDS 100 running, at the same time. The TRX 1 is missing a lot. Is there a firmware fix coming? Or is this a design flaw, that can't easily be fixed?
Steve Giovanis are you experiencing the same issues w the TRX1? Debating between the whistler and SDS100 although not keen on dropping $700 for the uniden. Trying to figure out if it’s worth it. Thanks for your input.

Do you have to do any kind of setup for it to monitor P25?
Can I change the time shown on switch off as mine is over an hour out thanks in advance.
How about cities ? And will it pick up "trunked" systems?
+nr3rfu Cities can be programmed in, The TRX-1 covers almost all of the modern trunking systems being used for public safety.
Can I pick up federal government agencies
Anyone know how yo lock the keys out
Do you ships to Brazil ?
Luis Carlos Machado
No, Unfortunately, We only ship inside the USA.
