I'm doing some wedding video's in coming weeks and I only started this after breaking my back in 2019 and left paralyzed and cause I was bed bound for so long I've read and read and watched and so on... Hello bro even I want to do freelance i saw many tutorials on UA-cam channel but I am not getting how to exactly get clients from in UA-cam they say upwork or fiver build your portfolio I am not getting it since your an editor may be you can help just give some tips and may be give your portfolio link so that I can learn from it.

Completely agree with you. I am from Ukraine and I've started video editing on freelance while it is war going on. And my freelance going really well, despite I'm hearing explosions quite often, cos leaving very near to the border with the craziest neighbour country.

@@mydailyvlogs03684 I don't think Fiverr or Upwork are good places to get clients, there are just too many editors there. Getting clients through cold dm's or cold email's are the best options in my opinion. Bulding your personal brand is also essential if you're sending cold dm's. Watch a few videos about dming and emailing and just start doing it.

Amazing advice man. I’m a firefighter and want to peruse my dream as a video editor. I took 4 years of Adobe Premier Pro in High School and self taught ever since. But I want to be on a professional level. How do I go about this; would you recommend school or continue to self teach? I edit and post my own little videos and edit for others as well and make a little side money. Yesterday I had a thought of really going all in and saw this video… crazy.
