Airport Island to MALE City Ferry : Maldivian Police Don't know about MAAFUSHI Ferry!!

This Was My 2nd Day in Maldives in this Day i Went to MALE City First from there to the Maafushi Island but i had very hard time finding a #Ferry to #Maafushi from Male City. I asked many people and Even the Maldivian Police but they also were not sure where we will get the ferry. Ferry for Maafushi is Available from Vilingli Terminal which is on the South of the Male City where i again met Julian whom i met on the Airport.

Maldivian police service has its own mode transportation!!! the government has provided them with land and sea vehicles!! they have their own speedboats and ferry!! So its not a surprising thing the police officers not knowing about where the exact location to take off to maafushi!!

@Navankur, I suggest you take the opportunity to explore the place when you have a long waiting time & also buy some food near the place you stay to avoid difficulty of searching for food....

Bro there is no maafushi ferry terminal...u need find the location and time whene it departure..there will be only one ferry..or u need to book private speed boats..
Seems you had a hard time! Vilingili ferry terminal is in the opposite sde of the island. The best way to go would be via a taxi which takes no more than $2 (The Airconditioning of cars will help you avoid the corching heat). It can be quite tricky to catch ferry as its schedule. Maafushi is definitely a beautiful island!
