You have to see the 5 picks he had in his rookie season. Even the 50/50 balls is not safe around him. He is a dangerous CB.

Bland baits qb's into thinking they've got space/time to make the throw, but Bland has that rare ability to close the distance and break on the ball like Diggs does... then not only catch the ball, but catch it and take it to the house lol. I hated seeing Diggs go down as well all did, but i knew from what we saw DaRon Bland do last yr he'd come in and make some qb's pay. And he has! Gonna be nice having Diggs, Bland and Gilly all 3 healthy out there... just a straight scary DB room! Not to mention Overshown and possibly LVE back at LB if he doesnt retire... which I personally kinda hope he does for his own health sake. But anyhow Go Cowboys! Gonna be a good one Thursday night bro! ☆DC4L☆

The thing about him is, unlike other shutdown cornerbacks, he isn't velcroed to his man. He kinda tricks the qb into thinking he's lost but the reality is, he's just watching him. Diggs plays the same way but he goes for the pick all the time and gets burnt alot.

His last one on Thanksgiving sealed the deal it wasn't a walk in pick he legit had to make 3 guys miss him and they were all in great position to stop him!!!!
This man may have 5 pick 6 but has had at least 7 interceptions total. In my opinion, he is better than Sanders was and he is extremely quick with acceleration. He gets to the ball before ball gets to reciever with the speed of a gazelle. I hope he gets another pick 6 on Thursday.

7 interceptions this season. 12 in his first season. And he didn't even see the field till Jourdan Lewis's injury late last season
it's crazy to me he dropped to the 5th round. I know a lot of media has credited the corner coach Al Harris because he has had 2 elite CBs at taking the ball away but Diggs gave up yards his big season of INTs and developed into a shut down corner last season and the start of this season before injury. Bland however came in this way, as a big cowboys fan that watches the mini-camps, training camps, ect.. Bland was a huge standout, you would hear his name a lot. It weirdly felt like the cowboys thought they owed the veteran Antonio Brown (CB) his starting job last season over Bland simply because he was a rookie. It took both Brown and Jordan Lewis being out for the season for Bland to get in and his rookie INTs were just as impressive. Lewis BTW had what was believed to be a career ending foot injury so even though he doesn't have the stat line as a Bland or Diggs it's super impressive that he's even on the field and playing mostly decent and improving.
Another player that stood out in camp with Bland was the safety Markquese Bell. He was a ball hawk all camp but the safety room is deep in Dallas so it took multiple injuries oddly to linebacker and Bell has somehow been one of the best linebackers in the league while playing the position for the first time in his life week 1 (didn't even practice the position until the season started).
Wow incredible incite! I can only imagine where bland would be if those players didn’t get hurt! And I’ve heard a lot about bell! That’s impressive to be that good that early and to have never played the position before. Again thanks for the information 👊🏾

Bland seems like a really nice guy, so happy for his success especially since he had such big shoes to fill. He has some good speed, and crazy ball instincts. And his ability to run after catch is gnarly. That's a hell of a combo of skills.
Yea I love the underdogs 5th round pick to history making a CB in his second year o and with a real shot at DPOY I’m rooting for this kid now.

and to think this is only his 2nd year (only started like 7 games last year) and he already has 12 INT's and 5 of those have been pick 6's, he has only allowed 1 TD against him this year

Steal of the century. His break away acceleration is just off the charts and thank god he went under the radar playing at Fresno State or there’s no way he falls to us in the 5th. When Diggs comes back, this secondary has a chance to be something special.

He might not get any more, all the attention has him marked now with every OC and QB in the league. They'll be a LOT more careful around him now. That in itself means a win for the Dallas defense. Bland's Presence alone might be making offenses tweak away from him some.

He will get 1 or 2 more from over the center of the field crossing routes. Maybe off of a deflection or maybe QB’s will still have to throw his way and he will get 3 or 4 more, which would absolutely be absurdly incredible. My over under is, 1 more pick 6, and 2-3 more picks this season.
