As an architect working and living in Germany, I can say, with all do respect, that despite the project looking really nice and somewhat thought through, please stop creating architecture that does not belong to the middle east. I come from there, I am well aware of the heat that can be there, this is not the architectural facades that should be created there, the Line project for example is a catastrophe that would roast people living in it with its big mirrors reflecting the sunlight on the side of the project that would heat up the earth around it, and this one is just recipe for disaster. I have big respect for foreign architects and I am currently working with them in a well renowned company here, however, I really believe that they don’t understand the Arabian peninsula, this Monolith has mirrors (it looks like it), did the architect even consider what the reflection of a hot summer day (maybe 55 or 50 degrees celsius) can do to the ones living there?! This is not a movie (Dune for example) or some game, this is supposed to be a real project for real people, the environment is a “must” to be considered especially in S.A.; also, as someone that worked in detailing in Germany for some years now (which can be a real headache), the project will surely change when you wish to create windows (you surely have to do so, no?!), this 3D visualization is nothing compared to what the real life project would look like (not ideal at all). I am in no way discrediting the architects, however, respectfully, he and the lady have absolutely no sense of the catastrophe of the future abandoned project they are about to do (the golf playing part was real fun).

Alright? But do you really know the climate? Not because it’s a desert it reaches 50 55 degrees! It doesn’t reach that high in west of saudi arabia at all! You need to educate yourself about climate and weather same as you did with architecture. Neom is where it snows in Saudi Arabia every year!, it barely reaches 42 degrees in that area where neom projects are located, the west of saudi arabia in general doesn’t get that high temperatures that you mentioned cause i live there, i live in the west of saudi arabia my whole life and i know, maybe you visited a place where it has reaches that, the east is the area where it reaches these degrees and it’s known for saudis, but what might be shocking to you since you seem to really know nothing about it. South west of saudi arabia is completely green, it rains occasionally in all seasons, it’s always cool temperatures in summer, saudis always go vacation there, and it’s very cold in winter, it also has projects that are planned for them but just wanted to let you know, also the desert gets very cold in winter, where i live in medina it reaches 3 to 1 degrees, not because you’ve been there few days you know more than locals so just wanted to let you know and I highly respect your opinion tho that it’s not criticised by hating but actual logic which is really respectful cause i don’t see ppl being respectful here in the comments section
@@haithem1320 it may be that all you say is true. But you should also know that NEOM is being built in the very hot and dry Saudi Arabia NORTH WEST.
Its just a fad bro. They should really use the money for something better. Thy could start with is what will make this world a better place, but they choose to convert dessert into AC concrete jungle. They say its for when oil runs out, but if they keep making needy architecture, people will be lost within weeks after crude. Its just gimmic. They should think sustainability. Like Israel did with crops. They could only invest in ideas and save the world while becoming more rich. Say half of all crude profit goes to solar projects around the world. That's just one thing. They have great leaders I suppose. But outpu is what defines future. I hve no hopes except as an amusement park from these.
Graphic designers work alot than engineers in NEOM!😅
