I bought the soundtrack a little more than three weeks ago and I already listened to my 34 favorites a minimum of 40 times. The top 14 go from 80 to 107 times played and I still can't get enough. My absolute favs are: The Trail - The Wolf And The Swallow - Conjunction Of The Spheres - On The Champs-Désolés - The Song Of The Sword Dancer - Aen Seidhe and Silver for Humans... ...Steel for Monsters (both 107). Edit: and You're Immortal... OMG is that an epic piece of music!
Just finished the main game. Walked outside the keep, couldn't do anything but stand still, looking at the beautiful mountain peeks and listening to the heart touching tune. Feeling broken. Such a masterpiece of a game!
Better leave it that way while it's still perfect instead of ruining it trying to please the fan. I have become obsessed with this universe too, so I feel the pain but we have to let it go but someday , we will live to tell the tale of Geralt Of Rivia
We might still get another game form the Witcher universe though! They only denied Geralt as a main character. Maybe we would play another witcher, before or after Geralt's time. Or maybe a sorcerer or who knows what! :D
Because you're jealous just like Jonna was jealous of Lothar's family. No need to plant a nithing near my home cause I know how to turn the curse back on you.
I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect here, I've noticed a distinct lack of Wild Hunt around the UA-cam music communities, aside from some covers of The Wolven Storm and I chalked that down to the sheer difficulty of it, so many foreign elements and pieces not found in your average game score, and I just wasn't sure. This is my favorite game ever, and it deserves really great people to recreate the really epic and spot on music. You guys NAILED it. Bravo, seriously, I teared up in places, if I had one gripe it would be the absence of a rendition of the Wolven Storm but I totally understand why it's not here and it's more of a wish then a nitpick and I'm going to show this to all my Witcher fan friends. Amazingly done!
Thanks for the comments Sothe! You are right, Witcher 3 music is strongly based on the poilsh folk music band Percival, as our talks with the composer Marcin Przybylowicz stated. It's pretty hard to recreate with traditional orchestral instruments without the original players and instruments (saz, flutes, medieval drums, ethnic voices...) but with the composer help we think we did a good rendition to the soundtrack
Games&Symphonies you got your sit down and talk to him?? Oh now I'm seriously jealous. Keep doing what you're doing folks, cause it's absolutely fantastic.
Absolute delight to listen to. Thank you all for your talent and bringing this to light. Makes me want to pull out my Euphonium after not playing it for a few years lol.
Thank you. Thank you so much. You moved me. Beautiful score by Marcin Przybylowicz and Mikołaj Stroiński, and a very good execution of it as well. You guys made it look easy. What an impressive display of talent. Inspire the heart and the soul
This single-handedly made me start the game with the intention of pushing through everywhere I get stuck. No getting stuck, and stopping for months. And for now, it is going strong.
Just when I thought you guys couldn't get any better. I just see Geralt giving me that wink at the end of Geralt of Rivia. And they did a spoooooot on job with Ladies of the Wood (favorite track in the whole game)
Ah! My favorite game! How did you guys know! You did a real good job recreating such unconventional music with a conventional orchestra set! The Vocals were right on as well.
I guess not, no. This sounds like your typical western orchestra, their instruments are just not as well suited to playing this kind of music. Though "Welcome Imlerith" was pretty good, mostly because it's a more generic kind of bombastic song.
If everyone in the orchestra + choir + maestro, had already played the game at least once, the performance would hit the ceiling due to the enormous emotional charge this game installs into your brain.
I was really unsure about the witcher. It took me a while to get into it but I'm so glad I gave it a chance cause it's now one of my all time favourite game series, and the music is just amazing.
I, too had the same thing. Before I played the Witcher 1, I thought that because of the huge amount of dialog I wouldn't like it, but the Witcher series of games is one of the best I have played.
SPOILER ALERT --- After beating the game and all expansions with 100% of all made i saw Gerald looking at us players... i felt empty. Like saying goodbye to and old friend. I play all the 3 games. Read the books, comic books... I got lost in this world. Now i have to face the real world and the true monsters.
Do not despair. There is a high budget netflix TV series being made of the Witcher and I've heard rumours of a further installment of a Witcher game but with you as the main character with Geralt as a possible cameo.
i find that a sword tends to help with those real world troubles. just do it like geralt does, when the tax man comes to collect your tax brandish your sword. when the come to confront a sword wielding maniac, just do it like geralt and brandish your sword. works every time.
After I beat the game, I went right back to Kaer Morhen in the room where the game started, and looked out the window because I figured that's what Geralt would do after such an epic adventure. It's a shame that Yennefer (or Triss) wasn't with him, but that seemed to be a proper way to end it. The theme from there is my absolute favorite of the entire soundtrack.
Thank You CDProjektRED...many many thanks for this lovely gift... Oh Man!!! Music,Story, Gameplay... MASTERPIECE... but u know what? Please Please Please Don't end this masterpiece here... carry on with ur legacy... spellbound us with next MILESTONE... Waiting
It requires a very specific set of instruments that are just not so popular among proffesional orchestras like tribal drums, slavic string instruments and many more.
last year in Poland, on Film Music Festival there was a special event where they played (orchestra with a band Persival which made pieces in the sountrack) almost all OST from Wild Hunt & some from Blood and Wine LIVE. Game creators were also there, It was awesome it's sad that people from other countries couldn't see it , but if you type in yt FMF 2016 Witcher you should find some fancams and even the entire show but on yt red :/
Can't believe I'm only finding this video now. Makes me so happy. Kaer Morhen, whenever I hear it - it makes me so happy yet full of sorrow. The ladies of woods had a lovely change but I still prefer the tone from that song in game.
It does sound kinds funny, but it's also really hard and expensive to recreate the sounds of the original folk instruments and/or get said instruments. The conductor had a talk with one of Wild Hunt's composers about the arrangement; and that sums up all I know :D
WHY DID THEY SUBSTITUE BRASS FOR STRING IN THE BEGINNING IN THE LADIES OF THE WOOD!!??? Thats what gave that song its eeriness and they totally blew it there!
Many of the instruments used in the soundtrack are traditional Slavic instruments and finding people who can play them can be quite the hassle. CDPR were lucky to get access to people like Percival.
As far as I could see, their string section is fairly lacking. I couldn't see any violins, which is quite bizarre for an orchestra this size. All I saw were cellos.
The music of the Witcher 3 is probably pretty hard to replicate, since the music production of the TW3 realizied that the musicians they hired couldnt play off of sheet music. So they just improvised stuff. Then recorded it.
As a guy who was born in Poland it makes me happy and proud. The witcher is for me one of the best when even the best game that CD Red make. The wanna be game publishers should take a lesson from this game they are not even half so good.... It's sad but TRUE !
Kaer Morhen gives me freaking goosebumps... I miss this game already.
My eyes still tears up thinking about that game.
Play it againnnnnn
Until Kaer everything was fine, then i cried :( downloading again so i can cry once more

It gave me goosebumps too!
Man after the game ended and i respawned at kaer morhen, listening to the soundtrack broke my heart. Such a good game!
jamilskannal yes
jamilskannal i know that feel bro. Had this 3 times. And the fourth time is comming too.
That moment always shatters my heart
Just finished the main game. Walked outside the keep, couldn't do anything but stand still, looking at the beautiful mountain peeks and listening to the heart touching tune. Feeling broken. Such a masterpiece of a game!
I don't know what else do you need to understand that Witcher 3 is piece of art
9/10 not enough "PAM PAM PA RAM"
pathetic lol this comment! it gets me very time XD
in the Baron Castle!!..hahaha..
HASFAHGASHG9 pam pam pa raam
Imagine if the last music is just one guy in kettle helmet singing pam param
Come on CDPRED this cannot be the last time we see these characters in a videogame .... but if it was you got your place in videogame history
Would'nt it be cool if we were to control Eskel, or Vesemir in the early years?!
Vesemir...I second that!
MAYBE we could be able to see Ciri in Cyberpunk2077 (there is a "cameo")
I already spent 300+ hours on this game, but watching this totally makes me wanna do another playthrough.
Taime 1500 + hours this game is Amazing
+50 000 hours please help me
I finished my 308th playthrough today and started another right away
why do I feel like thats a lie
Because you're jealous just like Jonna was jealous of Lothar's family. No need to plant a nithing near my home cause I know how to turn the curse back on you.
couldnt play it for 6 months, now as I can play it again, im binging it xd spent 200 hours in Velen only :D its a masterpiece!
Papa bless the conductor with his Agent 47 cosplay!
papa bless \/ /\

Bravo for making an effort! Bravo! Btw where is it performed?

Makura069 DAMN, YOU'RE UGLY!
lmao
i always laugh when geralt says that.
Darkus Hydranoid how do you lele that silver?
Geralt of Rivia, the most underrated hero we have today
How come the orchestra didn't stop playing mid performance to have a round of Gwent?
Music composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz and Mikolai Stroinski :)
True, we have it on the score but our team forgot to add Mikolai to the description. Thanks for the tip ;)
What about Percival Schuttenbach?
I know right. Apparently they pretty much improvised most of the music in The Witcher 3. They deserve a hell of a lot more credit than they get.
Percival (band) was a big part of making this soundtrack! They deserve credit
Kaer morhen theme was originally compose by Adam Skorupa for the first witcher game
Kaer Morhen is love, Kaer Morhen is life.
Ladies of the Woods and Silver for the Monsters ST = insta goosebump
I am in love with that flutist!
Yeah she is fucking hot
I got you! She's really pretty! :)
Damn this. I miss the game so much! Played along 3 times in a row in 2017.
When Kaer Morhen came on i instantly started to tear up
I swear these are tears of joy :')
i got chills at welcome imlerith ....so good ..i wish i could attend this show
This single-handedly made me start the game with the intention of pushing through everywhere I get stuck. No getting stuck, and stopping for months.
And for now, it is going strong.
Music to my ears, beautifully done, good job to all of you.
My god you guys nailed every single rendition. Perfect.
very nice but even the whole orchestra can not replace percival band :D
dude...just...dude...really...you're absolutely right...I prefer Percival aswell...even with their actual formation
I guess not, no. This sounds like your typical western orchestra, their instruments are just not as well suited to playing this kind of music. Though "Welcome Imlerith" was pretty good, mostly because it's a more generic kind of bombastic song.

Goosebumps everywhere!!!
Amazing! The vocals, the instruments!

I understand u bro... i'm getting close of the end of Blood and Wine dlc, and finishing the books
That final look where he kinda looks at us for a final goodbye as a friend....more feels than one can handle.
Do not despair. There is a high budget netflix TV series being made of the Witcher and I've heard rumours of a further installment of a Witcher game but with you as the main character with Geralt as a possible cameo.

-The silver is for monsters.
-And the steel?
-That's for different kind of monsters.

DW316 i have gotten the platinum trophy and have 1500+ hours in the game but still haven’t found that room
Simply beautiful, I do not understand how they are not already reaching the million! Please do not abandon the project on UA-cam, you can! >:3
You always manage to make me tear up the way you arrange everything.
Waiting
The Imlerith score was a heart-pounder.
Omg thoose lelelays Hit me Pretty Hard !! Niiice job !!!!!
The theme for 'the crones swamp' still give me the chills. I was so freaked out in that part of the game.
"WHO TAUGHT YOU TO FIGHT LIKE THIS"...am I right??? ..damn so awesome
"Ladies of the woods" I love this theme
Why is there almost no live music of the Witcher 3 ost? I woulf sacrifice a lot to visit a live performance! Thank you fornthis video though.
Yeah, me too. I keep browsing the internet for any mention of a witcher concert tour passing through London. but no, nothing :(
It requires a very specific set of instruments that are just not so popular among proffesional orchestras like tribal drums, slavic string instruments and many more.

Toss a coin to your Symphony. I love it.
ladies of the wood, freaking mystical!
That was so wonderful...
Wow, this was fantastic.
Can't believe I'm only finding this video now. Makes me so happy. Kaer Morhen, whenever I hear it - it makes me so happy yet full of sorrow. The ladies of woods had a lovely change but I still prefer the tone from that song in game.
id be yelling and cry in tears due to excitement, actually pass out
Utterly magnificent!
I cried when Spikerog came in . this is so nostalgic. :(
The best interpretation of the ladies of the woods ;)
what a masterpiece of game...love it so much...
the game is incredible and incredible games have beautiful music every time 😀
What were they thinking using saxophones for Silver for Monsters...
Handi Cui Saxophones? Really? Lol
It does sound kinds funny, but it's also really hard and expensive to recreate the sounds of the original folk instruments and/or get said instruments. The conductor had a talk with one of Wild Hunt's composers about the arrangement; and that sums up all I know :D
LOVE THIS MUSIC .....!! BRAVO 10/10
If I ever get Amnesia / Memory Loss the only silver lining will be I will enjoy this game and its magnificent music one more time.
I totally love it!
Amazing
Magnifique
Winds howling....
HerosTheme Pretty damn hot.
HerosTheme sounds like rain
WHY DID THEY SUBSTITUE BRASS FOR STRING IN THE BEGINNING IN THE LADIES OF THE WOOD!!??? Thats what gave that song its eeriness and they totally blew it there!
Because you have to make changes for a full orchestra when the original has like six or so instruments from what I can pick out.
Many of the instruments used in the soundtrack are traditional Slavic instruments and finding people who can play them can be quite the hassle. CDPR were lucky to get access to people like Percival.
I didn't understand what you said, but something of eeriness is missing.
As far as I could see, their string section is fairly lacking. I couldn't see any violins, which is quite bizarre for an orchestra this size. All I saw were cellos.

Holy shit, that was so good. So good.
love it, amazing!
O jogo é excelente e parabéns pela trilha sonora.

Just amazing
Bravo....!!!!!!!
The music of the Witcher 3 is probably pretty hard to replicate, since the music production of the TW3 realizied that the musicians they hired couldnt play off of sheet music. So they just improvised stuff. Then recorded it.
I get those goosebumps every time wicher is not around
Omg this is magic, bravo and well done
Magnifique !
kaer morhen starts playing* mah heart, mah sole....
Look at that big brass section back there, w00t :) awesome....like a small DCI corps lol :)
Buen trabajo!
Wish I could go back to 2015 and play it again knowing nothing, expecting nothing just like back then
