The reason is that he's happy to perform in front of real people, that there are still a lot of EXO-Ls. His solo debut had to be promoted in empty venues, his first solo concert was possible only online... He's been missing offline interactions a lot. Since the first kpop festival in Frankfurt he hasn't stopped smiling and being happy at any performance.
Kai grew up a lot for 3 years. His activities (singer, tv shows etc) made him more confident and mature to tell what he think about how sm treated exo for so long. This aigoo battle with LSM is not insignificant and kai never announces exo's comeback front of million people without reason. We dont know it but i'm sure exo already in talk with sm about their contract.
