I've only used Dr. Bronner's Castile Liquid soap for years. I recommend the Peppermint. It has never let me down and is environmentally friendly. Lathers great.
I like to use one of those nylon/plastic mesh bags designed to hold soap slivers. They come with a rope that can be hung from a hook. They also serves as a wash cloth. Store it in a zip bag to keep everything else dry.
Great idea!I will give it a try. I often dont have time to dry my soap when I am on the move I found this which works but is expensive. I can pop a wet bar of soap in there and it will dry without getting anything else wet. Use the hook so your stuff can hang against the disgustingly filthy wall. I will never be so dirty that I will ever have to use a campground shower. Better off just hosing yourself down outside. My opinion. But in a clean campground bathroom (If they even exist) I could see them as being very useful. One would be better off just hitting a Truck Stop where the bathrooms are maintained and give them a few dollars. Well done video though. Thanks
Thx for the hook idea! When I visit my friend in Eugene and take a shower after swimming at the Y I’ve run into the “where do I put my towel, etc” problem. This will solve that problem. . For a non-electric toothbrush solution, I found a brush that flips around into a rectangle cover that doubles as part of handle. Case part keeps the brissels clean in toiletry bag. Got at a chain pharmacy store like Rite-Aid or CVS when I forgot toothbrush on a trip near Joshua Tree NP.
I shave bits of bar soap and put them in a 1 or 2 oz squeeze bottle and add water. The soap bar never gets wet or gooey. I keep the bar in a small Ziploc bag.
I was afraid you might ask me that. I like Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk with Almond and Moisturising Milk. The only problem is I can’t find it here in the states. I think they only sell it in Europe. When I visit Germany I always bring several bottles home. But I did a quick search on your favorite online shopping place, Amazon. It looks like you can get 2 bottles w/free shipping for a little less than $13. Happy Teardropping :)
Laura. I found. Nice product. The Euro products don't have the carcinogenic chemicals they treat us to here in the USA Apparently less chemicals costs more. Thanks for pointing this out. I will give it a try. I am still searching for the perfect soap box as a backup. =Cosmo
I use a small bottle of Dr. Bronners. A few drops goes a long way, can also use it for dishes and laundry. I refill the small travel bottle from the large bottle at home. You can even get some insect repellent properties if you use the eucalyptus scented one!
Brilliant idea to refill tooth paste tube, I'm always buying little ones. Soap? Use a bath gel tube that you can refill like the tooth paste. No large leaking soap holders. Yeah I dont like bath gel but its convenient for travel.
Have you thought of just using liquid soap? You can get a squeeze container of whatever shape and size you prefer. Easy to refill, won't leak(at least with a quality(Nalgene) bottle). I noticed at home that the body washes don't leave the same kind of residue that bar soaps do.
Thanks Bob. I have not tired liquid for a long time. When I did it ran out quite quickly. I will give it another try. =Cosmo SUBSCRIBE and see my other videos ua-cam.com/users/cosmoweems
One viewer suggested putting bar soap in an old deodorant tube. That way only the end of the bar gets wet. I think its a good Idea which I will try when I get an empty tube.
I don’t have a solution to the soap problem but how cool would it be if Vistabule made a trailer the color of your soap caddy - a 1940s Jadeite green! So I have not been camping since I was little, in the 70s, and I had a very Traumatic experience. On a camping trip, I had to use an outhouse and the only outhouse available had a huge tarantula in the upper corner of the door. And it was dark inside so the tarantula could have jumped on you at any time and killed you by sheer revulsion. This horrific childhood memory has never left me and I think I have PTSD - Potty Tarantula Stress Disorder. I should have called Child Protective services on my father for putting me in such a mentally abusive situation as having to face a giant spider from the bowels of hell, but it did not occur to me at the time. What is the scariest thing you have encountered in an outhouse or camping bathroom? I sure hope it was not a spider, because how does one ever recover from that? Only legal weed shepherds me through the flashbacks some 40 years later, is the excuse I tell people for spending money thusly.
I wrap my bar of soap in a clean, dry wash cloth and put that in the small pocket of my backpack. It dries out in no time and doesn’t get mushy. I will then use that wash cloth when I need a new wash cloth...I’m on the road 20 days a month and this is what has worked best for me...

Great tip with the hooks! I will use that for sure!
Why dont u just use a shower gel. You just wipe the bottle (and they have travel sizes) when ur done. No mess !!!!
When you've been on the road for a week or two you really start to Crave is shower gel just doesn't cut it for real cleanliness
Hooks are a great idea. Switch to shower gel, but you don't need a cup to brush your teeth, you can hold enough water in your hand to rinse with.
Thanks See my other videos at ua-cam.com/users/CosmoWeems and SUBSCRIBE =Cosmo
I use hooks like that I made myself, yours are nicer :-) I switched to liquid soap for travel, it's worked well.

Undies? I thought you were the kind a guy that was ready for anything...lol also..use liquid soap so you can put it in any container
Liquid body wash. Burts Bees has a nice one for men, as does Doller Shave Club. And the old stand by, Dr. Bronner.
Goody soap dish. Wad up a small peice of paper towel and place in the dish. 65% of the time it works all the time.
Thank You Does that waste soap on the paper towel? =Cosmo Subscribe ua-cam.com/users/cosmoweems
Love the hook tip!! Have you considered switching to a body wash? I gave up on traveling with soap bars. They're too messy.
I tried body wash in the past and did not like it. Maybe its time to try again. What brand are you using? I will start there. Thanks =Cosmo

Neither. You go commando but good idea with the bring your own hooks. Find a small water tight container for the soap. One not designed for soap.
