My childhood band is back with another album? My god I can't wait! Good old memories with Gran Turismo and Feeder blasting in the background, ever since then I was hooked on their music.
Ha you've just exactly described how I got into Feeder!! GT3 with Just a day blaring out. Echo Park was my first ever album I bought, happy memories!
Same way I discovered this great band. I loved the tracks in Gran Turismo 1 and 3 (I never had GT2 unfortunately). Then heard Come Back Around and Just The Way I'm Feeling when Comfort In Sound came out. I was sold. Bought Comfort In Sound straight away and then discovered the rest of their back catalogue. Seen them live in Ireland, here, too shortly after CIS came out.
Been to at least a further 5 of their shows since then. Fantastic, criminally underrated band.

I've been following this band since seeing John playing drums in TJs in Newport all those years ago. Sat next to Grant and Taka when they were in Start Cable's box at a Wales international football match. Such great lads.

Brilliant isn't it!! Proper sludgey tuned down sounding guitars. People still ask for repetitive Buck Rodgers tunes. They've moved on from that. Thankfully.
I would argue this is more recent feeder.... silent cry type song. I thought renegades was there best album since Yesterday went too soon.
Musically it's classic feeder, but the lyrics and vocals are certainly more like silent cry.
Silent Cry had more impactful choruses than this, but otherwise yeah, I'd say it's Silent Cry mixed with Swim

Great! Check out the Polythene album if you haven't already. And Yesterday Went Too Soon, Swim, Renegades, Generation Freakshow, Echo Park.. The other albums have some really good stuff too.
6 or 7 years ago I decided to make up a play list for when I was out mountain biking, i narrowed it down to 52 songs lol

Rock music needs way more promotion and radio AirPlay! Why do they just promote lovey dovey songs with basic lyrics and untalented autotune pop singers? it's like they force the general public to like pop music and get into everyone's heads

I like the song, master sounds really average which is what disappointed me about the feeder album I last bought.
Sorry, that seems a bit vague. To be more precise, it drops off from 3khz (hard to tell how far without the actual .wav) but what I find frustrating is 109 hz and 185hz -are beautifully even but then the mean power drops by 8db by the time you get down to 54 Hz (I do find it is needing to drop off or it is all just the thud of the kick, but a few db and it sounds more balanced.. well because 8db is not). Seeing this live would be a wall of sound so its a shame to have a thunky woody sound when there is no need. A few tweaks and this is transformed... it sounds enormous.. a/b ing back to the sound here is not cool.
These short clips will expire, they are the intros- one is untouched and with a bit of tweaking when it repeats you get the extra bass rms matched and top end with some of the mid peaks which hide these taken down and matched in each octave. Feeder-Comparison.wav

A welcome return to early feeder. Still nowhere near as good as anything from Swim or their early b-sides though.
30,000 views in over a month since its upload and Cher Lloyd gets 200,000 in 2 days. This is a poor song but still shows how irrelevant Feeder are now.
1) Cher Lloyd is a much more commercial artist.
2) This is a great song.
3) Aren't you a bundle of joy...
4) Who the Hell gives a flying fuck? Music is music; bands and artists never fade in or out of relevance. 30,000 views in a month is still a number that many bands worldwide can only dream to attain, and whether a piece of music affects 1 person or a million people, it's still relevant. Feeder may have dipped in popularity as of late, but fans are always there and if we like it, that makes it "relevant".
Feeder are relevant to me and others people. Who cares if it's not mainstream now....I see it more as my own little secret that the masses like yourself dont find. We aren't the sheep. Also I've listen to feeder for 20 plus years now and they've had their iffy moments like all bands but they come.back with some banging tunes
