    LeBron's final total = 79
Yeah, LeBron is the "GOAT" with that lower number in all areas while playing way more. Because 79 beats 104! Less accolades in more time. The GOAT, alright. 🤣 LeBron doesn't even have a go-to move. No signature move except driving to the lane that Jamal Murray easily predicted he would do and nearly snatched the ball from him.
I can put Kareem's accolades here and MJ would still destroy him. I'm removing marketability which MJ has over LeBron. I'm removing childhood nostalgia. I can remove subjective aspects like excitement, charisma, and beauty. I didn't want to include the bronze medals LeBron got in 2004 and 2006 (FIBA) In the end, MJ still wins.
MJ beats everyone in NBA history on actual INDIVIDUAL accolades. He was as skilled as Kobe but with more raw athletic talent than Kobe. You can add LeBron's 10 Finals appearances over MJ's 6 which is really a team accomplishment like rings and playoff series won and MJ is still winning comfortably over anyone.
I'll give credit to LeBron for better longevity than MJ. Hence, better longevity stats. You can argue that for Karl Malone over MJ and nobody believes Karl is superior to MJ. LeBron also has more playoff meltdowns and sweeps. More losses as the favorite. More missed playoffs. Great Game 4 by LeBron. Still not the GOAT.
    MJ's greatness: HIGHER
    LeBron's greatness: LONGER

I guess it's like in baseball. MJ hit more homers per season and with a higher batting average during his prime. LeBron hit fewer homers and a worse batting average, but only slightly worse while still able to maintain a consistency longer.
The competition argument is wack coming from LeBron apologists. Free agency has got teams stacking talent on one side. Didn't LeBron start this player movement crap? In the 90s, most players had mostly 2 stars at most and they were homegrown: MJ & Pip, Malone & Stockton, Payton & Kemp, Shaq & Penny, etc.
I recall the Bulls beating the Jazz that Shaq's Lakers couldn't do twice in a row in 1997 and 1998. The 1998 Lakers won 60 games and got swept by those Utah plumbers with Jeff Hornacek as SG! 🤣 I saw Jordan's Bulls sweep Shaq's Magic in 1996. Nowadays, if LeBron loses, there is this insistence from the media to get him as much help as possible. Like All-Star talent. We've been living in a bitch ass era for 13 years now.
Players might have been less skilled back then but the rules wouldn't allow them the freedom the way offensive players have today. Watch Jordan videos getting hacked by the Pistons and Knicks. He got up and didn't whine or flop. He never whined about playing on a back-to-back or playing 9 games in 13 nights. There was no load management in players' minds back then. They just played and played.

MJ vs. LeBron debate is like a Secretariat vs. Kelso or Forego debate. Kelso won 5 Horse of the Year awards from 1960-1964. Forego who lost to Secretariat in the Derby but won 3 HOYs (1974-1976). Both were geldings, so they were able to race longer. But most pundits will tell you Sec was better and greater while having less races.
That's MJ. He's Secretariat. He's Man o' War. The two Big Reds only raced for 2 seasons and never had a 4YO season. He's Spectacular Bid. He's Dr. Fager. LeBron is more Kelso and Forego. More John Henry. His peak wasn't as high as Jordan's but he got to be great far longer. Hard to argue 13x being on the All-NBA First Team to MJ's 10.
    Greatest
    1. Secretariat
    2. Man o' War (Babe Ruth of racehorses)
    3. Citation
    Fastest
    1. Secretariat
    2. Dr. Fager
    3. Spectacular Bid
You can argue the most brilliant runner ever was Dr. Fager but he never raced at 12F or was put in the Jockey Club Gold Cup which was the premier final race for all ages before the Breeders' Cup Classic. You can defeat him using rabbits. Can make an argument for Spectacular Bid was as great as Secretariat. But Secretariat was that SEXY horse moving like a tremendous machine!
At their very, very best and when Secretariat felt like running because he did lose a few times when he shouldn't have like to Angle Light, Onion, and Prove Out, Secretariat would've smoked Dr. Fager and The Bid at 10F-12F with his 22-pound heart or 3x larger than a normal thoroughbred. He would've dusted Man o' War, Citation, Native Dancer, Seattle Slew, and Affirmed too. The only weakness to Sec was his lack of grit. He wasn't a fighter like Seattle Slew was.
    👑👑👑
Happy 50 years, Secretariat (21-16-3-1). You were the greatest athlete to ever walk this Earth. Then Wilt Chamberlain.
MJ is still the GOAT and that would never change in my mind whether LeBron wins another 2 rings. LeBron is the Hank Aaron of NBA greats. Got to play so long. But he's not as transcendent as Babe Ruth (Man o' War) or Michael Jordan (Secretariat). LeBron is the Kelso/Forego of NBA greats. More Forego because he was 17-hands. Kelso looked like a little, skinny deer.
Secretariat has been dead for 34 years and hasn't raced in 50 years. MJ hasn't played in an NBA game in 20 years and hasn't won a ring in 25 years. They're still both regarded the GOATs of their respective sports. Just shows you as time passes by, some things never change.

If you're (GM) Rob Pelinka, you're starting to realize how much LeBron can act as a double-edged sword to your team.
By some accounts, Pelinka should be held accountable for the mistake he made by shipping KCP away. They traded away a guy who was a key part to their run to an NBA Championship in the bubble. They lost JaVale and Dwight, who were key to stopping Jokic for the most part, but lost other guys who they traded away to that made the better transition to different teams elsewhere.
Rui and Tristan did slow him down temporarily, but that didn't feel the same compared to how McGee and Howard were able to keep him down. It didn't help that Caldwell-Pope became an antihero for the Nuggets. His scoring contribution led them to the 4-0 series sweep. At the end of the day, Rob's mistakes are starting to show slowly, but surely because there's no way that he can undo the damage the franchise has done. LeBron's common trends when he joins a team elsewhere is...after a specific amount of years there, the team ends up being crippled of draft capital. You can see how much damage that has done for a while, and the fact that he didn't keep Kentavius begs the question...did the Lakers screw up with that decision? Lakers would have been in the NBA Championship, not the Nuggets, had KCP not been traded away.
This decision will likely affect the Lakers fanbase for quite a while because...the many "what ifs" are too unfathomable to swallow when the offseason hits. They're gonna want to look back at this and wonder if it was a mistake to give up on KCP like that.

He's decent, good age, has championship experience and he's less of a headache compared to Kyrie. Also about the same size. And for that trade they dont have to give up hardly anything, cause Vanvleet has a player option just this year. It makes the most sense. Lakers with all their limitations made it to the conference finals without it getting close, so they dont need to throw haymakers in their trades. So forget all that Lillard, Trae nonsense - who have huge contracts they just signed not too long ago. Lakers should absolutely go for vanVleet.

Mavs and lakers are both pretty desperate for trades. A big sign and trade with another team to take advantage of their desperation could be interesting and see all teams gain. Lakers get Kyrie + anunoby, mavs get Beasley + van fleet + Vanderbilt, raptors get Russell + Bertans + lakers 29 1st + mavs 27 1st + lakers 23 first after they’ve made the selection. All teams benefit.
-lakers getting 3 & D plus scoring punch they need
-mavs get a impactful defensive forward allowing wood to be traded for another better roster fit, solid point guard that can defend & facilitate after the Kyrie experiment didn’t go great and will be handicapped by wherever he wants to go, as well as Beasley who could be serviceable but is also a tradable salary for the deadline.
-raptors get a decent offensive point which they’ll probably get the most out of, a young drafted player and 2 potentially very valuable future draft picks whilst taking on salary for the next 2 seasons. Allows them to not entirely drop off but also plan for the future, giving them more flexibility, potentially trading pascal if right package comes around, or keep him if they are playing well.

His kids are now going out and he still chases basketball or something along those lines... I mean, if LeBron wanted to just hang it up and spent more time with his family, then who are we to disagree on his decision then... Obviously, he still has plenty left in the tank but I think playing 48 minutes in his last game in the playoffs dropping 40-10-9-2 on 60% shooting, that would be going out with a bang and he did also break the scoring record so what was LeBron really needed to achieve... He done it all... MVPs, championships, Finals MVPs, Olympic Gold Medals, allstar appearances, scoring champion etc.

All teams benefit lakers getting 3 & D plus scoring punch they need, mavs get more D and a solid point guard that can defend and facilitate after the Kyrie experiment didn’t go great and will be handicapped by wherever he wants to go, raptors get a decent offensive point which they’ll probably get the most out of, a young drafted player and 2 potentially very valuable future draft picks whilst taking on salary for the next 2 seasons. Allows them to not entirely drop off but also plan for the future, giving them more flexibility, potentially trading pascal if right package comes around, or keep him if they are playing well.
