That's wassup! You should do more reviews on classic boxing equipment like old winnings, grants, reyes etc,, if you could find any for a good price. Love the reviews bro!
These are the exact gloves I used in my 1st bout ever. I love them and miss them. Over the years I used some blue ones with a red logo, and greens with a yellow logo, and some blacks with white. I really miss these gloves. I never had my own gloves, and just used whatever gloves the promotors provided, and a lot of times these were it.
These are really awesome gloves, but for me the coolest are the ones for the mid-late 90s Tyson-Holyfield 2 and Lewis-Holyfield 2 the first mode with the Everlast logo on the glove part
In Thailand, exactly in Bangkok is a one company, called Thaismai. There do gloves for Muay Thai but some of their models looks really similar to classic Everlast :):):). Totally classic :)! Best wishes :)
How similar to this are the new 1910 Everlast training gloves? What gloves do you think the new 1910's are most similar to, if not the authentic older old school gloves?
I look for these on the internet for years but had no Idea they were discontinued i get why they are rare now. The 1008 and 1010 were great gloves i heard ,its awesome you can make a review on them . What's crazy is that i'm almost sure i saw those on eBay 2 or 3 weeks ago they were not too expensive and i was thinking about buying them lol , i did not know they were already gone ,i really enjoyed This review .Awesome content as always .
I had a pair of these back in the day, just in 10 oz. Definitely horse hair in them. They actually moved production to Missouri after the rent at there NYC factory went up too much. They only stayed there a few years then their production moved overseas. Their warehouse is still in Missouri though I think.
Hello, replying to an old post I know, but I have a brand new pair of black 1011s (the XL version of 1010, basically the exact same glove as the ones Carlo reviewed here) if you are still interested
What's up Carlo long time no talk my Brotha.. Those are beautiful ! Reminds me of the Cleto's pro fight gloves with horse hair I always wanted them in 8's too ..I gotta say they do match stupendously with the Phillies hat lol..Nice Catch on Ebay Bro ! They are Sweet Looking but please tell me you at least got one good Crack out of them for nostalgia's sake lol 🤣🥊🥊
@csquaredboxing those are not made in USA. I don’t know where those particular gloves were made, but any model produced in USA has “Made in USA” on logo under Everlast name in block font.
You should try to get the 4305 bag mitts i had a pair before and they had a padding that are like memory foam and haven’t been replicated by any other bag mitts from what i know
It's nice to see a boxing glove that wasn't made by Sports Direct they're too cheap they may everlast too cheap they made Lonsdale too cheap and honestly I think it's crap now
I have a pair that looks similar. But I believe the ones I have are the training Gloves model. Mine say 1314 on grip bar though. I'd post a pic if I could, but I don't know if that's even possible. lol
After their sale to Sports Direct, they marketed that glove as the "1910", along with the Powerlock and MX lines. Not sure if they were made in the US anymore or if there were any changes to the glove itself, but that model was available up until recently. There is a new version of the "1910", but i'm not sure it's like the original ones that you have.
such a shame what happened to Everlast, but so is the story of so many American business' which went overseas. I knew the company went in the can when I got an inexpensive pair from Big 5 for a friend's son. The gloves had been soaked or sprayed with some type of chemical (possibly for mold or bugs which happens in shipping containers coming from overseas) which was so caustic that it burned skin and left rashes. I tried washing it off with soapy water several times to no avail. If one were to use them and sweat and wipe your face with your forearm your eyes would burn with possible damage. Worst of all, these were marketed towards kids! Shame on Everlast for this, especially what was once an American powerhouse. At least we still have John Golomb, although last I communicated with him he has not been making gloves for a while due to Covid for some reason, hopefully he resumes soon. Thanks for the review!! was wondering about these, and had chatted with their owner as well. Yes the 1008 is the model number, for the 8oz model. The 10oz are listed as 1010, etc. Jermain Taylor fought with the 1010 model in Middleweight matches
I had these. $79.99 back in early 2000’s. Loved them
For sure
@@csquaredboxingby any chance could I buy these off of you
Nice! These gloves bring me back to 2005 contender season 1. They all wore this Everlast series in the gym and in their fights
Agreed
The saying “they don’t make them like they used to” really stands true with these
well, because that wasn't profitable sadly :/
Agreed
Wow!!!! This is awesome. A great piece to your collection! Really wish that Everlast still make stuff like this.
No doubt!

Some of my all time favorites. Nostalgia.
Man, what a great find! I wish I had seen this seller as he apparently had another pair in black that also already sold.

I remember the trainers (12-18oz) were $100.00 in the old title catalog.

I'm more of an MMA fan, but it is pretty cool to see how far MMA and Boxing technology has come and how it's evolved over the years/decades.
For sure

How similar to this are the new 1910 Everlast training gloves? What gloves do you think the new 1910's are most similar to, if not the authentic older old school gloves?
That logo is so iconic
Agreed

I’ll check them out
Is it the same padding as the 4306?
Are these better than the new elite fight gloves they produce now?
I have the exact same gloves but in 16oz and black laces. I tried to find some info on them but couldn't find anything
👍🏼🥊
I was watching these on eBay. Haha guess you got ‘em
Haha nice
Damn, these just made every other glove look like cheap shits
Haha
The gloves look good
💯
Carlo What is your response to Mexican Gloves Solid Question are they durable heavy what do You like ?
Mexican gloves are, generally speaking, heavy, tough liner, minimal knuckle protection, great feedback on punches, and last nearly forever.
I am a man of a few words
