I gotta admit, after listening to John Frusciantes music, his independent music i say he was the best choice for the red hot chili peppers and although Flea, Chad, and Anthony are fucking amazing, they wouldnt be too far without John Frusciante.
That is a true statement. But let’s not forget that without Anthony, they would have never become who they did. He was the whole reason people started taking HIGH interest in them. He was the main innovator of that Funky Punk Rap style that nobody had ever heard or seen before. Since he wasn’t a singer, he used his love for poetry/rhyming, shared love for Funk/punk rock with Flea as well as Hillel, and his natural talent for wildly funky entertaining as an outlet to be able to express himself on the microphone. It’s a crazy fact that we wouldn’t have ANY of these incredible albums they’ve created over the years with no Anthony Kiedis. But also, we wouldn’t have Anthony without their manager at the time, Flea, and Hillel giving him a random shot at being the frontman. So they all played a very important part in making this type of band happen. They would have been just a completely different band with a regular typical singer style frontman and may have not even blown up the way they did. Then of course Chad, and ESPECIALLY John Frusciante are the ones who evolved the fucking funk out of the RHCP. Like say if they still just had the original line up after “Uplift Mofo Party Plan”, they wouldn’t have evolved the same way. Without Chad and John, there would have been no Mother’s Milk, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, no Dave Navarro/One Hot minute, Californication, By The Way, Stadium Arcadium, no Josh/I’m With You/The Getaway, Unlimited Love, and no Return of the Dream Canteen 😭 everything happened for the perfect reasons at the perfect times. This band was just meant to be the most legendary band with a longevity of growth and success that no other band will surpass ❤️ Cherish and appreciate these guys while they’re still here with us…… Because when the overwhelmingly sad day that comes when they’re not, the world is going to feel so empty 😭 their music and legacy will live on forever though, which will slowly start to refill our spirits over time. The band actually wouldn’t have been what it is without Mr. Anthony Keidis. A young John and thousands of local fans wouldn’t have fallen in love if they didn’t develop and grow into the innovative style that Keidis planted the seed of. Him not being a singer is what birthed their Funky Punk Rap style that nobody had ever seen or heard of. Plus his WILD cosmically funkadelic energy and free spirited type of performing as a frontman really attracted people and turned them into die hard fans who fell in love with the feeling they got from watching the show. But the Band DEFINITELY wouldn’t have evolved like they did without Flea, Frusciante, and Chad. Even though most people love Flea, John, or Chad more as inspirational musical talents, I truly believe Anthony was the Catalyst who created the Cosmically, orgasmic, Funkadelic, and explosively spiritual type of chemical reaction that blew everyone’s penis and Vagina right off of their bodies.
Sorry guys just saw a comment on this trying to compare RHCP to the foo fighters and ive seen both live on multiple occasions including peppers at slane which is there best concert and as a live band the foo's wipe the floor with the peppers ...not saying the peppers arent one of the best of our generation but foo's just beat em simple as
