    This was the winning video for Mismag's 27th contest. I had quite a bit more to say about this trick but unfortunately I have a 15 minute cap :( It is a really great multi-phase card trick with a kicker ending! Credits go to Paul Cummins (www.fasdiu.com/) for the creating this awesome effect.

    I am shocked that this video is getting so many hate comments. I thought it was highly descriptive, it may have been a bit much if he went into full detail on how to do each individual move, but he didn't; which kept the tutorial moving along very well. People need to learn patience if they want to learn a skill like this. You cannot just watch a two minute video and expect to be an expert.
    The people who got "bored" with this video do not deserve to learn card manipulation. They obviously do not appreciate all of the multiple aspects that need to be taken into consideration.

    All of the people that saying, "hurry up" or "get on with it" or "So much talk that we are lost. 6 minutes of nothing......I prefered to quit" I'm telling you I've watched the whole video and actually learned something, one, you guys are probably young and don't know what patience means, or two, you just don't have a interest in magic. This guy takes his time to make videos for us, and you dis him? Get outta here >.

    • @joelreagan1097

      And btw, he even told you when the tutorial starts in the first 5 seconds of the video, so don't complain about him talking just skip to the tutorial. JAYSUS

      I agree. My only complaint is that he never showed us an actual performance of the trick. That would have made the video at least ten times better.

    Wow, this is just so amazing, I love the way you literally weeded out the posers and how you told them you would and yet they continue to be annoying with their "talking too long" and "I could plant a tree and make a pack of cards" comments, its really brilliant, this tutorial and I just love your presentation, also to replies of who gave you the rights, so many people steal others' work and don't give credit or do it for their bad purpose, if someone else is going to do it anyway, why not do it yourself! Really great trick keep it coming :D

  • @MrAaronLarson

    "This video is too boring...he talks too much." First off, there's a huge blue annotation in the middle that tells you where the tutorial begins. Second, if you're trying to learn any sort of advanced card trick like this, and you lack any kind of patience, then things aren't so bright down the road for learning other harder tricks. Third, it's not like this trick takes forever to learn. I learned it till I could almost do it perfectly in 4 days, and it's become one of my favorites, and one of the favorites for family, close friends, and anyone else who sees me do tricks on a regular basis. So it's a great trick with an awesome and smart set up/ending, and either you learn it or you don't...if you don't learn it, no one wants to hear about it. Thanks again, Asad, for the tutorial.

    I'm not sure, but I think it's the first video he uploaded by the quick intro. However, he just caught the occasion to speak about outer stuff which is often the case, and I quite often as well skip such a part, honestly. But this was a wonderful tutorial. I am quite a beginner and I have learned a whole lot of different ways to help yourself in many possibilities. He showed 3 simple ways to pass cards in about what?: a minute? I think in fact the "classic pass" description was too brief to understand it, but I wouldn't complain since this is a 15 minutes video full of things that need their time to. Really, the ridiculous thing is that you (generally) "quit" the video because it was too boring. I just wanted to quickly give my opinion because this is a good tutorial, it's free, it shows what it publicizes, and I really didn't like to see how many dislikes they were after watching the video.

    I still don't understand how they got reshuffled at the end. When I try (to the best of my ability, still pretty much a beginner), I get the red card that was on the red pile, a clump of black cards, a clump of red cards, the black card that was on the black pile, a clump of red cards, and a clump of black cards. Clearly, this won't appear shuffled to the spectator. How can I fix this?

    That was a great tutorial thanks :) I only started last week but i can already do all of the passes(that i know of) and just learnt another false shuffle there ! I only just realised how much of a beautiful art this is, but the reactions are one of the things that do it for me ! This one only worked on my dad tho because of all these plebeians not being able to follow whats going on :L I still think its a great trick tho. +are cards a big difference when trig to do the hermann shuffles? i find them much more difficult than classic variations.

    wow, i really figured it all out from the performance video.(wont believe me probably).What i have to say is at the beginning, where you do the pass with 13 cards, then do another one with half the deck.This will will rearange the cards so that the blacks are in the middle and thus in the front (that can be seen by spectators) are red cards.The way you do it, before you take the cards you have a red in front and after some seconds you have a black one.Someone may notice...
    and when you said not to spend time spliiting the 2 packs, supposelly you have to, cause they believe you re looking for the first red card (sorry for my english)

    Well, frankly speaking I don't think that the effect has a big impact on lay ppl, you know its just all the cards in the same direction and become mixed red and black the original triumph is much better.. its just my opinion, and by the way I liked other videos of 52Kards good job:)
    the materials like turnover pass or zarrow are obviously strong but used this way they unfortunately lose that ;)

    Was Paul Cummins one of the people who asked you to post a public tutorial of his trick?

    • @quintopia
      @quintopia 9 років тому +1

      On the other hand, if he didn't, he should have, since this is free advertising for his book. I know I want to buy it now.

    • @technowey
      @technowey 9 років тому +2

      quintopia Posting the secret to a trick that someone else created without their permission is inconsiderate. It's hurting their show-business. It can hurt their sales.
      Several magicians have stopped publishing because people just immediately reveal their tricks on the Internet, which means they do not hold your theory. They see how their shows and/or sales are affected.
      That's not good for magic. If you want to know tricks, go to a magic site and find the name of the book and buy it.
      To those who whine about this post, realize that it can take years to develop a routine that plays well in front of people, and then to have it revealed makes it useless. If you lack the creativity to make your own routines, then at least respect the people who are willing to reveal their creations for a price. It might be legal to reveal the secret, but it's a sleazy thing to do to a creator.
      So, I repeat my question, "Did you ask Paul Cummins before revealing his routine?"
      By the way, "wanting to purchase the book", and "purchasing the book", are two different things. If you do buy it, I challenge you to post the last word on page 22 here.

    • @quintopia
      @quintopia 9 років тому

      technoway I'm not saying I disagree with the first part: it is impolite to give away someone's secrets without their permission. I was in no way trying to justify 52Kards' actions here. However, I cannot necessarily agree that sales will always be affected /negatively/. I'm saying that it is sometimes in your own best interests to give a popular UA-camr permission to give away your secrets. In particular, if you allow it under the condition that they give full credit and citations, it can actually serve better than a "glowing review" for fostering sales. As evidence of this principle, the word you are looking for is "spectator's"

    Also, the argument to do something because if you don't do it, someone else will do icy worse is not a valid argument. First, they might do it better. Second, if it's wrong to do it, it's not you doing the wrong thing.
