That is really not the goal of playing off. The goal of playing off is to mirror the route while holding your leverage with hopes of breaking downhill on the short to medium routes and cutting off the deep routes. Focusing on getting hands on while back pedaling is a recipe for disaster. The truth is that most times when we shoot our hands we plant our feet and that's bad news if the receiver is moving at high speeds. He could defeat your hands and blow past you.
nice vids i watch em alot to help improve my game i play highschool ball and i play corner, i havent played my 9th grade year but for the whole summer i worked out and 10 grade year i played i got one forced fumble during jv season im going into my junior year do you think i still have time to get offers?
Hey coach Great video, whenever I face a receiver in man to man do you know how I should move my feet or where I should be looking at because I get beat most of the time by receivers, especially shifty receivers?
Oh man. You should definitely join my member's area on All Eyes DB Camp. I have great videos on how to play press man. Check it out: alleyesdbcamp.com/sign-up/
Always look at the hips of a wr cause he can’t go nowhere with out his hips. And when I play man I usley use the inch back Technique it helps me stay patient. And it gives you good distance so I can read the hips.and the. When he Invades your territory violent strike him.But the most important thing is remember eyes feet and hands in that order using your eyes your feet and you lot hands as the last defense.Hopefully tha helped
Hips dont ever focus on their feet and once you have enough experience you can usually start looking into their eyes and telling when the balls coming to them and you can usually grab a small part of their jersey for the first few yards or so but nothing that can be flagged.
Nice video coach. I'm 28 and I just started in football few months ago. It's so hard to be a sharp db
Yes it is but with the right plan, it can be accomplished
