Everyone is different and everyone handles feelings and emotions different. Recognizing that you don't want to do the things you usually do to deflect (jokes etc.) is in my mind a huge thing. And actively avoiding it to show how sincere you are and that you don't take the birthday wishes for granted is remarkable as well. You fought and you made it to the end! Deflecting is rather common (unfortunately) and not easy to unlearn. Having this much love and admiration thrown your way would be overwhelming for a lot of people! for starters! i loved loved LOVED seeing all the other pipsqueak’s art!! everything was sooo pretty and beautifully made, it really inspired me to keep on drawing and work even harder to make something that could be on par with what they’ve created for you. i’m so insanely proud and grateful to be a part of them 🥹🫶
on that note, i’d like to extend my gratitude to you too! it’s you that we look up to after all, you’re our captain and we damn sure wouldn’t be here without you. so naturally, i wanted to take a moment to express how truly grateful i am for you and everything you’ve built over this past year. it’s actually really hard to put into words just how much your presence means to me and to so many others. do you have any idea how awesome of a community you managed to create here!? like seriously! gale galleon!! yeah YOU 😠🫵 you’ve created a community so beautiful and so welcoming that it feels like a fucking DREAM. a little neverland just for us, a place where anyone and everyone can feel at home!
second, even if you can’t always show or say it publicly without deflecting (emotions are hard, i know), it’s crystal clear to all of us just how much you care. i love how your kindness and passion (and goober goofs lmao) shine through in EVERY. SINGLE. THING. YOU. DO. you always find a way to connect with each of us, and it’s something thats really really special. not a lot of people can do that you know? you managed to bring together a group of people who all share the same warmth and support, which is no small feat. whats it like being the best captain with the best crew huh?
and finally, being surrounded by you and the other pipsqueaks means the world to me, and if i had a choice (which i definitely do btw!), i know i’d choose to stay right here for as long as possible. dare i say i’d choose you in every timeline? 🫢 is this.. a canon event..!?
