Anupam Roy.... A great discovery for us staying outside West Bengal. He is a composer, lyricist and singer all rolled into one. I am told that Anupam Roy also writes poetry. Yet, he has chosen to stay away the razzle-dazzle of bollywood. I salute this gem from West Bengal
And guess what, he's also an electronics engineer, by education, from Jadavpur University. Think he started his career at Texas instruments in Bangalore but soon quit the same to pursue his passion for music.
Can't believe it has been 9 years since this movie came. Life was so simple back then. I was in sixth grade back then and I remember my Bengali friends absolutely loving Shreya Ghoshal's Bengali verses in Journey Song. And that build up riff in the end of Bezubaan still hits same.

I loved all the songs. But want to mention that the best was 'Bezubaan'. The music is awesome, melodious and heart touching. I don't know why but this particular song brings tears in my eyes. Anupam you have created a 'Master Piece'. Anupam you have the quality of becoming the next R.D Burman of India. I wish all the Best to Anupam Roy for his future endeavours.

Indian movies has typical (mostly......do not hang me for saying that) stories,,,at least lately (which is ....well you be the judge)This one is with a flavor of reality. Story has an element of reflection of warmth,affection,love affair , sincerity, depth. Continuity is well done. Tears are there. Sobbing is not. laughter is there.message is there. All in all,just one word. LOVELY.

Watched this movie yesterday, It was amazing!, perfect in all aspects. Sadly bollywood doesnt make such masterpieces anymore, hope it starts doing the same again soon.
Everything about this album - the singers, the music composers, the lyricists, the actors, the director, the story - everything is beautiful. A kind of beautiful that leaves you with a smile reminiscing moments you might have not even lived yet, but can't wait to.

After 7 years I feel the freshness of piku movie. What a masterpiece movie with perfect beauty of simplicity.
The music blends perfectly with the shots in the film, especially when Amitabh Bacchan is cycling in North/Central Calcutta with Bezubaan's sarod background. Good job by Anupam Roy. Sunidhi Chauhan's 'Piku' is one of the most underrated songs in my opinion. It sits perfectly with the character of Piku in the film.
